    "There was a wedding in the hotel the night of my stay. My wife and I decided to eat in the bar, just prior to the ending of reception. There was only one fairly inexperienced girl working the bar, and lots of people waiting for service. No one working the floor. As new people walked in and up to the bar, she responded to them before looking after those already waiting. Was a little annoying, but all in all a good experience." (97172312)

    Spacious room.My Husband's disability was well catered for. Beds very comfortable. Midday checkout useful

    Altho comfortable, the room looked as if it needed a facelift.

    The easy access to the airport for departure the next day. The hotel was well cared for and felt good on arrival.

    Unfortunately there was a function on and all occupants of the hotel were awoken at 2am by the fire alarm which was apparently a prank from the drunken guests. I appreciate that functions are a necessary part of a hotel's business but perhaps more policing the event would not go amiss. We were lucky our flight was not until 10am but had it been earlier we would not have been particularly happy.

    "Overall they were very happy with their stay. My son had a long day of competitive golf and finds it difficult to sleep in a strange bed so he was delighted to get a full, and comfortable night's sleep. They were not needing to use any general facilities in the hotel as they were also visiting friends, but were happy with the faciities they used." (3304723532)

    Upgrade taken and very pleased with room. Both husband and son found the beds comfortable and were happy to have a good sized room, also lots of space to have breakfast there

    There was only one bathrobe and some cutlery was missing from room service meal. They should have alerted staff at the time, so some of the fault is their own.

    "Having travelled for 5 hrs in total, we were not greeted with a hello nor a smile or pleasantries, but a member of staff who was in angst about her colleagues' discussion during a phone call. I had to ask where the room was, no directions were offered at first. Cold and unwelcoming start. Upon having a meal in the bar area, staff were reluctant to serve immediately. The warm apple pie was frozen in the centre but placed in a red hot dish which also melted the icecream!!, Breakfast was ordered for room service. No fork provided, no tomato or mushrooms, no butter for the toast, a missing yoghurt and then we were expected to wait 10- 15 minutes for this to be resolved??!! When asking if a courtesy bus would be able to take us to a building on the airport, the member of staff questioned this and said the building was not where we said but on the other side of the airport ( but in the end.......) yes we can take you there (but not without disputing the fact first!) Generally,the main problem was that the price did not reflect the QUALITY of service nor the service expected at this cost. It is a high class hotel with 2 star service and so we were not treated very well at all. Good customer relations is imperrative no matter what the decor is. People will come back but we won't!!!"     COMFORT, CLEANLINESS.

    Staff could be more attentive to welcoming guests on arrival,a smiley face for example, breakfast food service needs more attention in order to provide correct food, restaurant staff need to be more polite, general manners and treatment towards guests needs dramatically improving. Also, the tea facilities were not generous enough for the number of guests.

    "In general, we were very happy with the Thistle Aberdeen Hotel and with booking online. We would use this hotel again. In the future I will be sure to book well in advance during the high season as the hotel was completely booked while we were there and, therefore, we were unable to extend our stay." (2301319)

    I was surprised at the reasonable size of the accommodation. Coming from Canada, I was expecting a much smaller room and bed. The double bed was long enough and comfortable enough for a restful sleep (I am 5 feet 10 and 6 months pregnant - comfort was rather important). The room the Thistle Airport Hotel provided us exceeded our expectations.

    Access to our room, which was in the back of the hotel, was either by a long circuitous route through the hotel or through an awkward secondary entrance in the back where the door was propped open. I recommend modifying the back entrance with a key access and/or doors that open automatically so your guests can easily enter or exit with their luggage.

    Satelite TV and proximity to airport. Quiet.

    Something was missing, not sure what but it was adequate not really good. Not much use I guess!

    "I was informed at the hotel reception that the smoking room that I had requested was not available, the only smoking room was a room with a broken skin! I was informed that if I had that room, I would be given a FREE dring at the bar. I was told breakfast started at 7am, I had to leave the hotel at 5-30am and could see people in the dining room having breakfast, I was not informed about this and left the hotel with out having breakfast."     Your hotel is fabulous. The room was beautiful, with plenty of room. The staff were very helpful, and the building is just a great complex.

    The tables in the eating area were dirty, and the waitress knew this. She simply brushed crumbs into new spaces as she cleared the old dishes. Otherwise, nothing at all was bad.
