    "Enjoyed my stay, would stay there again.It was better than I rememberd it from some years ago." (108542541)

    The room was good and the late check out time allowed me to work in my room on the day I left until nearly mid-day. Breakfast was excellent, probably the best continental I have had for a while, but it was not cheap. Easy parking in hotel car park. Staff all very helpful. Also I was able to get a hot meal at 9.30pm after I had finished for the day.

    There was some building work nearby. Breakfast was expensive.

    Staff seemed friendly but very overworked

    I didn't appreciate the fire alarm at 3.30am, nor hanging around in the car park till 4.00am.

    Rooms were clean, tidy and comfortable. Food was of good quality and plenty of choice. Check in/out process was very quick.

    Not always a member of staff to serve at the bar or to take room numbers when enetering the restaurant.

    Easy parking, although hotel is located on one side of a divided road. And car park was poorly lit come to think of it.

    Window handle sheared. Window would not close. Toilet seat broken, unsafe. Room quite small. Dark and dreary decor. Bathroom fixtures dated, worn, and dirty. Reception uncontactable on phone in the morning (staff busy with check outs? understaffed?). Fire alarm sounded repeatedly. No staff presence during 'evacuation'.

    "A good value for money hotel in a decent location, the hotel externally is a bit tired looking but the interior is a good standard with excellent leisure facilities." (107507359)

    Leisure facilities were excellent, fantastic swimming pool and spa with a well equipped gym. Breakfast was also excellent.

    The room was slightly small, the bed was not very comfortable and the room was very hot. We requested the window was opened fully however the hotel would not oblige on health and safety grounds. The room was almost 30 deg c which with a small child is unacceptable. The hotel would benefit from some air conditioning or at least have the ability to offer temporary air conditioning where required. We were given a small desk fan which didn’t help the temperature in the room.

    Friendly staff

    Building looks derelict from outside. EVERYTHING was extra (i.e. breakfast, wifi) Food was ok but prices were VERY high compared to overall quality.

    Reception and bar staff were friendly and very helpful.

    Flimsy shower curtain not very effective as it didn't stop water leaking onto floor. screen or heavier curtain would maybe work better

    "We booked this hotel twice for separate nights for our road trip up north, the gym, swimming pool and other amenities were excellent. Breakfast was superb, there was more than enough of everything from the self service buffet, also a complimentary newspaper. We will certainly book this hotel again when looking for a weekend away in the Highlands." (107832417)

    Everything from booking in right through to all the amenities. Room was spotless, bathroom was clean with all towels present. All staff were pleasant and polite.

    small compact hotel, friendly staff, excellent food. Pool and gym.

    I was not given the room I had requested. I had very good reasons for requesting the room and I had even telephoned to check I would be given that room. The staff were very busy and had too much to do.

    Good value for money. Reception staff welcoming and helpful. Clean and tidy room. Enjoyable breakfast.

    Cramped bar/reception facilities. Bar staff slightly disorganised - and whilst not unpleasant, they were not exactly welcoming. Room was cold.

    Our room had not been cleaned, we had tea staines on the window ledge, a ladies belt on the floor, dirty tea pot, and rich tea biscuites under the bed.

    Comfortable, smart and modern. Breakfast quick and efficient.

    Can be three staff behind the bar but only one attending to the customers at the bar. Service consequently can be slow.

    Staff were very helpful in helping me to choose gluten free food from the menu.

    Although the room was lovely, there was no mirror in the bedroom, only in the bathroom. Couldnt see what I was doing when drying my hair.

    had to move rooms due to 'self locking' bathroom door which the manager already knew happens in that room!!! appart from reception staff the overall quality of service was poor- no smiles, hellos or friendliness.

    Excellent online booking service. I had to telephone to change some of the details (person booking was not the person staying and I had made a typing error with my email address) and was delighted at the speed of the response and the standard of training of your staff. Both the main Thistle booking office and the hotel my son was to be staying in phoned back within minutes. Very, very reassuring.

    Excellent service, excellent facilities,

    Bathroom cleanliness poor, toilet seat broken, floor dirty, sealant round bath filthy this stopped me using bath for my 8 yr old son, room needing decorated. When booking I stated my son would be staying overnight with us, there was no facility to book this although staff were most helpful to provide me with a famiy room

    television was very old with few choices of channels. Child high chair was not available in the restaurant for 2 days out of 7.
