    clean, easy to get to,

    St Stephens Brasserie very expensive and not very child friendly with a very poor children's menu.Kept waiting to order between courses.Bar prices extremely high and with the exception of the young Irish barman and chamber staff all unhelpful and surly ( did try both bar snacks and brasserie meals)

    excellent all round with only a couple of minor complaints listed below

    Shower difficult to operate, either very scolding hot or unable to stabilze heat. Pillows on bed very poor quality. Evening meal whilst well prepared and presented, a little expensive. outer rooms facing road very noisy at night

    restaurant and bar area VERY cold - mentioned to staff but no change restaurant staff observed dropping cutlery on floor then placing on table room very clean apart from counterpane on bed - very stained

    Room, restaurant food, Gym, pool, changing facilities all first rate, friendly and efficient staff, great breakfast choice, restaurant carvery was great value and more importantly the food was excellent.

    Great value for money, good clean, basic room. Comfy bed and everything available that's needed.

    Restaurant Staff - worse than useless. Slow and all breakfast food was served cold - right from the start the restaurant opened. Quite frankly we think they they didn't want to be there and we were an inconvenience. Never even said sorry when many of us complained that the food was cold.

    Leisure facility included with stay.

    Hot buffet breakfast was plentiful but was a bit cold. No one on leisure facility desk... had to wait a while for attendant. Not alot to do within walking distance outside hotel.

    The Iron Bridge family experience was excellent value. The breakfasts are great.In general there no faults to pick.

    Hotel very convenient for all the tourist attractions.The staff throughout the hotel were friendly.The room was spacious and clean and the bed very comfortable.

    The area around hotel did'nt have any decent restaurants and although we ate in hotel restaurant the first evening(which was nice)we did'nt particularly like the choices on menu.

    "very good modern hotel would stay again but would have to know when football team is playing at home as my son is in competitions and needs a good nights quiet sleep. " (97396588)

    Modern clean hotel, free parking and use of the leisure facilities good. Breakfast had a good selection

    It doesn't tell you on the web site we booked through that it is part of the football ground which as we would be staying weekends would mean problems with parking and alot more noise during the season. When we stayed at this hotel there was a wedding reception on and the car park was almost full but to be fair we had no problem with noise. Our bathroom door jammed but the lady on reception helped us with this problem also the shower head was broken and leaking

    "We have been visiting this hotel for 4 years now (usually 3 or more times a year). The standard of evening meals has fallen over the last year, on our previous visit I had to send my meal back and my wife was presented with undercooked salmon. This visit both myself and my son were given practically raw beefburgers , our guests grilled sausages looked and tasted deep fried. The waitresses were very helpful and the burgers were replaced, however extra drinks from another table were added to our bill. The toilet overflow pipe in our room was constantly running and the sofa bed was broken and nearly trapped our 3 year old daughters hand. Not all the channels on the TV were working. We usually enjoy our visits to the hotel but our recent experiences have led us to sourcing meals outside the hotel and if the rooms continue to decline we will be looking for an alternative place to stay."     Standard of Evening meals has declined rapidly over last year. Plumbing in bathroom not working, television channels not working properly, broken sofa bed.

    The Telford Whitehouse excellent value for money, spolessly clean, rooms ideal size, very good breakfast, staff on the whole very good & helpfull, restaurant staff need to be more cheerfull & helpfull

    Very good sized family room, with a good sized bathroom.Our only issue was the height of the swivel chair under the desk area - always a magnet for my kids and they ALWAYS trap their fingers under the desk! Adults probably wouldn't pull the chair under that far but kids need to get near to do their colouring etc!

    Cleanliness

    Parking was hard to find, also I found it difficule to locate you and went into wrong FC carpark at first.

    "The leisure facilities were excellent and the staff there were very friendly and helpful. So too with the bar. The one area that let the hotel down was the menu. I did not rate the composition or quality of the meals at the four star rating held by the hotel. I would wish to see a varying menu and more fresh veges rather than chips." (97650155)

    Clean, comfortable with very good amenities. Staff were polite and keen to please.

    TV reception was poor. Room was a little noisy - could hear children next door!

    "The hotel was modern with all the facilities you would expect, TV, ensuite bathroom, tea & coffee, pleanty of space in the room. The breakfast was included in the price of the room and there was an excellent choice on offer. My husband particularly enjoyed looking out over the Telford football pitch whilst eating breakfast. We didn't eat in the restaurant in the evening as we felt it was a bit expensive. The leisure facilities were excellent and clean. All the staff were very friendly and helpful." (97859063)

    The room was spacious, tea & coffee making facilities, power shower. Convinient to leisure complex.

    The heated towel rail in the bathroom didn't work. The beds were not as comfortable as was implied in the advert.

    The hotel and its staff were very friendly the room was very comfortable. The meals were excellent and overall wavery good value for money.

    Noisy pipes in the bathroom when toilet flushed and tap on could be heard in the room.

    "Overall accommodation was excellent and the staff were extremely well mannered. Very disappointing however that smokers have to be 'thrown' out into the cold with no form of shelter at all. This would be acceptable in the summer but not entirely pleasant in the snow." (97204964)

    Our accommodation was extremely clean and the staff were very well presented and very polite.

    I feel in view of the recent smoking ban some form of external 'shelter' could have been provided for smokers. Said ban has been in place in my own country for 2 years now and smokers are more than 'accommodated' for, this was certainly not the case in the whitehouse hotel. This was the only thing that let the hotel down.

    "Generally ok but very clouded by the issue of fire safety. As such while I would like to recommend this hotel I cannot at this point because of the fire safety issue - if this is resolved I would recommend it." (97069265)

    Clean, new, spacious

    No signs on fire exit stair well meant that myself and a collegue used these only to find we could get back into the hotel. Upon going outside we discovered the gates where locked - had this been a fire we cold be dead (my collegue and I are both health & safety professionals and audit buildings for a living) this issue was raised to staff but it appeared that nothing was done - this is more than worrying! - a reply on this issue would be welcome.
