    Booking online was easy, staff at the hotel were friendly and efficient

    Our reservation was sent to the hotel as 1 person in a twin room although I'd booked 2 people in a double room. Hotel staff were able to rectify the issue quickly and without hassle

    Easy access to theatres, shops, tourist attractions. Good comfortable room. Variety of food for breakfast at a reasonable price. Pleasant helpfull staff and a relaxed atomsphere.

    The hotel smells very strongly of grease. The kitchen is beside the reception, and I suspect that they have not had the grease traps cleaned in a long time. The first thing that greets you when you walk in the door is an overwhelming smell of grease, and it sticks to your hair and clothes. It was very offputting. Before I made the booking online, I phoned the hotel (reception) to ask if I needed to present the credit card that I would be booking with, when I arrived at the hotel. They said 'no, no, it's fine, we will process the payment from the card details in the booking'. I used the company credit card and made the booking onlne. We have one company credit card that we all use, so I would only take it with me if it was really necessary, and I was told by the hotel that it wasn't necessary. When I arrived at the hotel it was a different story. I told them about the phone conversation I had had with a member of their staff. They said they have had similar problems with other Irish guests, as if it is some cross-cultural communication breakdown! I suggested to them that perhaps they should think about the fact that someone who works at the hotel is giving out the wrong information. No response. There then ensued a 24-hour process of me ringing my company in Ireland and asking them to fax the card (twice, and it came out unreadable at the other end both times), to fax a piece of paper with the names of the people who the company was authorising to stay in the hotel, to fill in a form and fax it back, to fax a letterhead with the names of the people who the company was authorising to stay in the hotel. We were staying at the hotel because we were in London on a professional training course, and we were quite busy. Time-wasting to that degree was a considerable inconvenience.

    "Good" (107612860)

    Clean, comfortable, adequate facilities for an overnight stay. Very convenient for Lambeth North tube station and the Imperial War Museum.

    Only 2 sachets of normal coffee in the room; could have done with a couple more sachets. Very noisy crossroads with police/ambulance sirens sounding all night.

    Efficient and very busy hotel

    Staff sometimes too easily distracted (usually trying to please customer) from getting things moving. Breakfast area too crowded; not an enjoyable experience.

    Breakfast buffet arrangements good.

    Very noisy due to location of police station.We hardly slept the first night and as we had to be up early to catch a steam train at waterloo the next day this was not ideal.Second night had to sleep with window closed due to this disturbance, very hot.

    Excellent staff, who let me store my bike in the left luggage. Good functional room.

    On both occasions that I stayed my key had to be recut. The room was very hot, so I had to leave the window open. But the road outside was very noisy (police sirens all night) which disturbed my sleep. It would have been nice to have all the freeview channels on the TV (ITV2-4, BBC 3-4, World and so on).

    "Hotel was very nice and it was very easy to book. I found it very useful to view the map so I could see the distance to where I needed to be. The only slight concern was if there would be a parking space available as you could not pre-book. Other then this it was a pleasurable experience." (97715023)

    Close to amenities, very clean. helpful and friendly staff and easy to locate.

    Would like to have been able to book car-parking prior to arriving.

    Clean, well presented, friendly staff.

    The size of the dining room is inadequate for the number of diners, and the decor in there is tired and in need of a revamp. I am not keen on carrying everything, including hot tea, on a tray to my table.

    The room was clean, airy and light. The service in general was very good.

    No option for twin beds. No hot water for shower. When I called reception (not the same receptionist) she told me to keep running the shower which I did. I also tried running the hot water tap (not at the same time as the shower!!. Neither produced any hot water. It was tepid after running the water for nearly 30 minutes which I find unacceptable. The night was also noisy due to the police station over the road, but we were aware of this before our visit.

    Good clean room. Most adequate.

    Because it was a Sunday evening, there was only a buffet service available in the restaurant which we were disapointed with.

    "We were travelling on Eurostar so the hotel was quite handily placed. Quite a long walk from Waterloo if you have luggage. Overall good value for money as are all Days Inn hotels." (99379007)

    "The proximity of the police station and the activity of the police was disturbing but for one night could be tolerated, I don't know that I would have wanted to stay for longer than 2 nights. Other than that I have no criticism the staff were very helpful and friendly and the rooms clean. A reasonable hotel at a reasonable price in an excellent position" (99544158)

    It was fit for purpose, i.e. a place to sleep overnight. Bar facilities were good as we were a birthday group so there was somewhere to come back to to finish our cele brations.

    Could find no fault other than the noise from the roadway and the olice activity.

    central position, neat, clean, with an amzingly good shower

    Staff, cleanliness all OK. But otherwise all very average.

    Room was a bit hot, no air-conditioning but had a fan. Hotel was OK, but all very functional. Have stayed in 3 star hotels with better facilities.

    The Hotel is very well situated for sightseeing and just close the public transport.

    Some pieces of the equipment should be repaired. Poor selection of free tv channels.
