    Friendly, helpful staff. Convenient location. Clean, well-equipped room. Dinner menu limited (as would be expected), but well cooked and good value. Breakfast excellent.

    Only gripe is not enough tea/coffee in room, but was soon remedied by helpful staff!

    I stayed in a disabled room (must have been the only one available when I booked). The alarm cable was located directly above the bed, across the light switches (why this is so badly located, I do not know), which i inadvertently pulled when asleep (why I was not told about the alarm cords seeing as I was being allocated a disable room, I do not know). Received a phone call ( at about 02:30) from reception about it which was reasonable. Then 20mins later, was woken up again by staff who came in to see about the alarm but did not have a clue about it so she then went off to get someone else (why she was sent out in the first place, I do not know). She came back with someone else and they both spent another 10mins trying to find the reset button (why the company does not train its staff, I do not know). After all these, I could not get back to sleep till about 05:30.

    Excellant hotel and the continental breakfast was very good.

    Reception staff had not told us that the key cards had the arrow incorrectly printed on them so it took several attempts (up and down to reception) before we could obtain access to the room. All was resolved in the end.

    "Despite the poor provision of drinks at the bar, we were pleased with our stay. Poole has many restaurants of a good standard. I must recommend Corkers restaurant down on the quay as they served us some superb seafood starters and main meals. The next time I travel to Poole I will definately consider staying at the Express Holiday inn." (107607049)

    The room was very pleasant and the hotel appeared to be very clean. The grounds and public areas appeared well maintained.

    As we stayed on a weekend night, no evening meal was available. I was offered dirty glasses with the drinks I purchased. Only bottled beer was available, as the draught beer needed changing.

    The only good point was the location of the Hotel.

    Inadequate staffing. Untrained staff. Cleanliness of the room unsatisfactory. Poor quality of food very unsatisfactorily prepared, remaining only partially defrosted. Inability of staff to deal with complaints. Rudeness of staff. etc etc

    easy to find, good staff and facilities

    Check in time of 3pm would have prefered noon onwards. Difficult to find exit from this particular hotel back into main road due to poor signage by council at one way system ( so maybe a sign by hotel exit would help!)

    Very helpful ladies at reception, answered all our queries about the area, gave us a map, booked us a taxi etc.

    Late check in (3pm). No fridge in the room. Ground floor room - heard noises from car park/road.

    Light & pleasant hotel, well located for travelling from Port onwards into France.

    No evening meal available on the night we arrived, and not very clear instructions on where to find alternative resturant, which was very close by - once we found it.

    All staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful, hotel was very clean. Dining room was tastefully decorated and modern, lots of choice for breakfast and plenty of it. Shower superb.

    Not really a bad point but having made a mistake when origionally booking I had to cancel and re-book, the price had increased, my own fault I suppose.

    "I found breakfast a little disappointing in a few respects Toasters were slow and rolls and croissants would have benefited from being warmed to provide crispness. My biggest complaint is not about the hotel which coped wonderfully when it became apparent that my on-line booking and booking reference had NOT been passed on so I was not expected and had no reservation.     The qualityof the Shower room was excellent with the slight exception that the mirors were difficult for make-up and shaving

    Fairly central, easy to park, tea / Coffee in room. Food basic Continental but plenty of it. Cheerful maids. Free daily Newsppaer

    Bed not fixed to wall or headboard so bit unsteady. Television quite small. Pedal Bin broken, needs some coat hooks.The Hotel is light and airy but lacking any dedicated bar area. Buffet breakfast was a bit chaotic with tables left uncleared at times.

    "I didnt expect what i saw when we got to Express, i didnt realise how big it was, how modern and spacious. I thought i would have to pay more as i booked online and the confirmation asked what our method of payment was but overall it was an ideal hotel in an ideal spot, close to the town and a short walk to the harbour. pleased with my booking choice!"     Modern and plenty of space. We could do our own thing rather than being pushed into one place with lots of other visitors.
