    Efficient air conditioning; good breakfast. Double-bedded room found after protest (see bad points)

    Had booked & specially requested double-bedded room, and had informed hotel directly of late arrival. Was given twin-bedded room and was told that credit card had already been charged which is not what I expected; I understood from Active Hotels that payment was taken at check-out. One breakfast toaster not working. Croissants very tough.

    The only bad point is that the travel cot provided was broken. But with a young baby we had no choice but to use the broken cot. We got the impression that all the cots at that hotel were in a similar condition.

    Staff very plesant and booking procedures were easy to follow.

    As none smokers, the room was very over-powering with the smell of tobacco smoke. All my clothes smelt of tobacco when i left. In addition, it was extremly noisey until the early hours of the morning due to the guest next door having their tv on full volume. Doors constantly slamming and making your room shake was disruptive too.

    No food available except for buffet breakfast. As a female lone traveller didn't really want to have to go out alone in the evening to eat.

    "Overall it was comfortable stay, warm, clean and safe...I think that what we expect from worldwide hotel chain. Nothing special or different..rather like McDonald..whether it's in Moscow or Nairobi..you'd get same cheese burger.." (107308225)

    Staff were helpful and facilities were adequate.

    Found a couple of hairs on one of pillows, freshly made, on first night...but it was nothing..all we had to do was to pick them up and bin them. No worries for us.

    Good value. Cheap parking for London. White bedlinen. Duvet. Clean except for nasty stains on carpet.

    The shower floor was so slippery that, when reaching for my towel, I slipped over and wrenched my neck badly. My neck and back still hurt, and I can't move my head very much, even after 2 days. (My toes feel a bit better.) I am worried that the damage may be permanent. This is not worth a cheap overnight! When I told the manager that the apparent non-slip spots on the shower floor did not work, she told me they were just there for decoration!

    "Clean and value for money but personally if coming to London again would look for somewhere with more character as did not feel comfortable in the ultra modern surroundings. Had to look elsewhere for instance to have drinks as surroundings not condusive but luckily just round the corner.... a super cosy pub/resturant run by well known, top flight chef" (107270068)

    Wet room was well designed.

    Only 1 chair in the room and that was not comfortable for a disabled person to sit on as too hard. Also the spring on the door was to strong for disabled person to open easily unaided.

    "An excellent hotel at a very reasonable cost which sadly appears to be in a less than salubrious area. I would not book again for this reason but would pay the additional money to occupy a place in a better area" (107120863)

    Very reasonably priced and good locality for the O2. Room was clean, vending machines were a great idea and the staff were pleasant and knowledgeable.

    The hotel is situated directly in front of a very busy mainroad with intense building works going on next door (which did not disturb us, however the view was somewhat wanting) The surrounding area has little to offer, thus unless you are going to a concert at the O2 I can't see the attraction of the area. The five minute walk back from the DLR involves going through what appears to be a very seedy area, including a badly little tunnel area. I did not feel overly safe with my young daughter, and to be honest the knowledge that I would have to walk back through it preyed on my mind during the concert (and I am 14 stone of muscle with a 44" chest!. I would certainly not recommend this venue to single females or couples travelling with young children

    Outstanding size room and the cleanliness was spot on. Staff were very friendly and helpful and i have reccomended the hotel to a few people already.

    Could have had an all day breakfast on the menu instead of continental.

    The hotel was very clean, staff efficient even though we got delayed and did not arrive until 1am. Nice light and airy restaurant with a good choice of brakfast items.

    Our room overlooked a builders yard, so no need for an alarm!

    It was comfortable weekend accomodation and convenient for the London Marathon

    Clean bathroom , large enough bed , room not too cramped. Staff were polite , friendly , helpful and efficient everything that one requires.

    The open plan hanging space in the bedrooom needs to be reviewed.

    Accomodation was fine,bathroom well designed and functional.

    Noisy roof fans which went on all night. Lack of ventilation in room. Catch 22 : You need to open window to get fresh air but then noise level unacceptable.
