    helpfull staff, assisting with our need for directions. helpful staff at breakfast,

    the check in staff didnt seem too pleased to see us, seemed to have a negative view on our staying for just one night. spiders webs in the corners of the room gave an impression of low cleaning quality standards.

    "I would recommend upgrading to the family room that sleeps 4 if you are travelling with children as it has a seperate room with two twin beds, then the double bedroom is seperate with all the facilities. I would recommend the brasserie. Great service, good food and very healthy portions." (97052562)

    "My main complaints lie in 1) the lack of seperation of the facilities for visitors being seperated from those used by those used by the hotel for other entertainment. 2)the early closing of the dining faciiities.     Clean

    On arriving we were told that the family room which we had booked was not available = 2 double room available. Prior notifivcation was not received. Very very unpractical with young children, and the youngest had to wake up early in the moring to compete in a singing competition and any changes were disturbing.

    "The stay was all that we wanted. Close to other areas to visit and the leaflets on where to go were of an excellent standard. We are wanting to visit again later in the year with our Daughter, Son in Law and Grandchildren which from the experience we have recently had the accommodation for families is of a very high standard."     The accommodation was excellent with very friendly members of staff. Nothing was too much. Hotel food was exceptional!

    "We stayed at this hotel in order for our daughter to attend an interview at Swansea University with a view to taking a degree there. The room was spacious, more of an apartment than a hotel room, we booked a family room and the room was excellent,the room you first entered had two twin beds in it and a door leading to a further room containing an oversized double bed, plenty of storage room plus en-suite facilities also tea and coffee making facilities. The beds were comfortable, something we rarely find in hotels. The staff were most helpful and always courteous. The food served at breakfast was of a high quality, The staff were very helpful about the local area and Swansea University. We visited the local public house The Stradey Arms and the staff there were also friendly and helpful. Overall a most pleasurable visit and one we would make again. This hotel is not part of a chain and it shows, the staff are pleasant and show they value their customers. Overall an excellent experience. One we would definatley recommend." (99572723)

    The staff were knowledgeable and friendly, provided excellent service at all times. The room was spacious, exceptionally clean and well furnished with all the facilities you would expect of a 5* establishment.

    Close location to the rugby ground! Nice decor indoors.

    No room service at 10.45pm, even though it stated that it was available until 11pm. Very hot in the corridors.

    The roof lounge was very nice but was not manned you have to bring your own drinks up from the ground floor . no service for residents during weddings partys

    Informative pleasant staff. Relaxed atmosphere. Up to date decor.

    Fountain stays on all night. Not very sleep encouraging for residents on the outer facing rooms.

    "Overall very impressed with the whole package from booking online to checking in and out. Staff were very friendly and service was quick and profesional. One small point, only offered 1 cup of coffee at breakfast and not offered a refill. Normally coffee is left in a pot on table or on tap at counter so you can help yourself." (3304876924)

    "I had a double room and the bed was made up of two single matresses which created a lump in the middle of the bed, which as a back sufferer this gave me the worse nights sleep i have had in a long time, not good when you have a busy day ahead. A double bed should have a double mattress in my opinion and ensuring the comfort of guests staying at the hotel is key in running a sucessful operation, the staff were friendly(which always seems to be the case in wales!!!), and i am sure a room transfer would not have been a problem but it was late i was tired so didnt report the issue. Dinner was just about OK, Gordon Ramsey would not have approved but it scraped through, breakfast was poorly prepared, the greasiest bacon i have ever seen. The service staff were miserable at best. All in all the hotel would appreciate a good revamp and a chef with pride in his work would enhance the visit, front of house/reception staff were good though, I am glad that it was not my 75 pounds that was used to spend the night there."     Warm on a very cold day!

    The hotel seemed about twenty years behind the times in terms of the decor and in particular the condition of the furniture in the bar which was stained and worn away by age.

    Room was great

    Dining room service. On one occasions I did not receive what I ordered and on another more order seems to have been lost in the kitchen!
