    Staff were brilliant, breakfasts were the best we had ever had

    room was in need of TLC carpet very stained bathroom a little tatty

    not enough hanging space in hotel room no mirror in room had to ask for one. No trouser press in room

    Clean with friendly helpfull staff.

    Very Expensive for a simple hotel. In Edinburgh outside the festival period similar accomodation is £55 to £70. £85 here in Falkirk is expensive.

    "I was a bit apprehensive when first booking the hotel as some of the other reviews were not that good. But I was pleasantly surprised, the rooms have been refurbished and are clean and modern, although it is 'work in progress' as there was decorators gear around the corridors, but it did not interfere with my stay. A decent bar with plenty of comfortable seating." (108576299)

    Clean, modern, great breakfast, plenty of parking, easy to find.

    Friendly staff, good food, good value for money.

    There was a wedding party with music until 12.30am.Our room was directly above the party, we were tired as we had driven from Shropshire.We were offered another room in another hotel, but we were too tired to move.It would have been useful to have been informed of the planned party when we booked, so that we could have had a room further away from the wedding party.

    Good price, good TV selection, newly refitted bathroom.

    Reception looks tatty, could use a refit like the bathrooms. And the sign about customers not bring their own food in is a bit 1970s.

    The room has problems so we where transferred to the Best Western so our comments reflect the Best Western in Falkirk not the Hotel Cladhan. The restaurant meal was very nice

    Staff where not very friendly.

    Enough space in the room for 4 people. Quite well equiped

    The Hotel is not situated in a nice area of the town. Walls & carpet in the room have a very bad appearance and need to be reniewed.

    dining and lounge/bar areas were OK but undergoing refurbishment so there were unfinished items e.g. front door step. All public areas and toilets were clean.

    bathroom in great need of attention - grout black and holes in it and area behind taps on bath absolutely disgusting! Badly needs upgrading/cleaning with bleach. No bedside lights - 4 spotlights in ceiling above bed making it impossible to read comfortably in bed or for one partner to go to sleep first. Buffet breakfast was cold. Curtains in room were hanging off hooks on arrival - I sorted them.

    You allowed pets, We only stay at hotels where pets are welcome (at no extra charge). The food was good and the service good.

    We had no heat at all from the radiator. The radiator was on but no heat all night. Luckly it was not a cold night.

    Location could not be better for the town centre, charming, friendly staff, a welcome breakfast, price is good.

    only "bad" point really was the cold tap wasnt flowing too well, but not really a problem as such.

    "Convenient position for town centre - and for railway station. " (107982482)

    Very helpful staff - any requests were dealt with promptly in a friendly fashion. Comfortable lounge area in which to meet friends. Tea after the funeral was excellent - and staff coped quickly with the arrival of more guests than anticipated.

    Room was very cold - friends had warned us to bring warm pyjamas! Radiator (when working) was hidden behind heavy curtains - right at huge windows. Curtains were too narrow for window, they left gaps at either middle or sides- awkward if room had been overlooked.

    Dining room and ground floor areas very nice, food was good and staff very friendly and helpful.

    No bedside lamps had to get out of bed and go to door to switch off lights, standard lamp did not work, curtains did not meet and tiles and grout in bathroom needed thorough cleaning.

    convenient to friends home. Housekeeping very quickly provided a mirror

    No wardrobe or drawers, no mirror in bedroom only one in bathroom, which impossible to use to dry and style hair as dryer can't reach. view from window overlooked outbuildings with a box of shoes abandoned on it,plus a sprinkler

    "I would have liked to have more information about your evening meal deal so that we could have booked it in advance - being a Friday when we stayed it was fully booked when we got there. maybe it was promoted but I can't recall seeing it.     "Overall the hotel was reasonably good, however it would have been nice to have been informed about the Saturday night nightclub in advance then we could have requested a room at the other end of the hotel. I'm sure that this would have been possible as we had been told that the hotel was quiet on this particular weekend therefore I can only assume that other quieter rooms would have been available."     The hotel was within easy reach of all the areas that we wished to visit. The food was good and plentiful.

    The room could have been cleaner, the carpet was stained, toilet seat was marked and damaged. The room allocated appeared to be directly over a night club which was most annoying, also noise from air vent which went on from early morning(6am).

    The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were comfortable. The meals were very good both breakfast and the evening meal we had on Saturday. There was a function on the Saturday night but it finished at 1 o'clock and there was no noise after this. The hotel is very central and close to the town centre.

    That at five o'clock in the morning guest came in and banged their bedroom door although this was not the hotel staffs fault just inconciderate guests.
