    Quick, efficient service. Very helpful staff especially as there had been a problem with my debit card!! Thanks very much for your help.

    My room was a bit cold on entry and I could not find out how to turn on the heat (the radiator was at max already!!) Only three TV channels!!!

    Location excellent. Thought decor a lttle retro in some aspects but not in negative way. Room clean and comfortable.

    Food cold and badly cooked emphasis put on wedding parties etc Reception had not carried out request prior to arriving Plumbing including shower diabolical little interest showed when pointing out problem would not recommend

    "I would like to have seen a menu. The restaurant did not cater for meals except in the evening. The bar food was only available from 12 till 2 then again in the evening which meant if you wanted anything to eat after 2 you had to go out to get it. The room was not vacuumed daily. Our particular room was not cleaned until 4pm. We had been out all day, left the clean this room sign out, but the room was not touched until after we came back to the room. Considering we paid 315 pounds for a 3 night stay I was not happy." (97246841)

    The locality

    The evening dinners were very expensive with very poor value for money. I only liked 1 dish on the menu.The room was not cleaned daily.

    "The location of the hotel was fantastic, right on the moor. Very little information was offered at check-in such as breakfast times and what was included with our stay, where the bar was etc. The restaurant had a great view of the garden and landscape beyond. A lovely base to explore the area but probably more suited as a hotel for maturer guests. The main building seemed more modern in decor and if I stayed again I would ensure I was not near the boiler." (97486110)

    The room was very spacious and had wonderful views.

    The bathroom was very small and dated. overall decor fairly dated in the room. We were next to a very noisy water boiler which we heard every morning and night.

    Pleasant rural setting, spacious room with good facilities

    Very little choice from buffet breakfast towards end of mealtime.Items were not replaced automatically and had to be requested from waiters.

    "Hotel is in a very pleasant area with beautiful grounds, but the tennis court would benefit from some maintainance work.     the room was comfortable and the bed was comfortable with nice fresh bedding.cleanliness of the room was good, we can't fault this.

    the room was in desperate need of refreshing decorative wise. the wall paper was rubbed off on the corners and the bathroom really needed up dating.

    "THIS WAS A BIRTHDAY TREAT FOR MY WIFE AND ALTHOUGH WE LIVE IN DEVON AND DID NOT HAVE THAT FAR TO TRAVEL WE HAD A GREAT STAY. THE BREAKFAST ON THE MORNING WAS EXCELLENT AND ON THE FIRST MORNING THE BUFFET WAS SERVED TO US, ON THE SECOND MORNING IT WAS SELF SERVE DUE TO A WEDDING PARTY AND GUESTS STAYING OVER BUT BOTH MEALS WERE VERY GOOD. WE HEARD NO NOISE AT ALL FROM THE WEDDING PARTY AND ENJOYED SEEING THE DARTMOOR PONIES ON THE FRONTLAWN IN THE MORNING. CONSIDERING THAT THE HOTEL IS ON DARTMOOR THE GENERAL UPKEEP OF THE HOTEL IS GOOD AND THERE ARE AREAS THAT NEED ATTENTION BUT I HAVE STAYED IN HOTELS LESS THAN 5 YEARS OLD THAT ARE IN A FAR WORSE CONDITION THAN THIS ONE."     Shower did not supply hot water however water to bath Ok Generally hotel is showing signs of ware to walls however fittings are In good repair, this just down rates from a very good hotel to a not bad for the money

    "The hotel was well signposted, the waiting and reception staff were helpful and friendly. I thought that the room was excellent quality and generously sized as well as properly cleaned. My shower, though, only dispensed tepid water even though the water run for the bath was perfectly fine - the water pressure for the shower was also too low. However, over all I would be happy to stay there again (and probably will, as I have clients in this region)." (99004713)

    I found the room to be very well sized. The evening meal was good quality. The staff were friendly and understood me even though most were EU nationals (not that I would disapprove of their employment by you).

    The shower did not work properly. I was unable to order sea food for breakfast as it was unexpectedly a buffet format. The amount of vegetables served with the evening meal was poor especially considering that the meal was quite pricey.

    "Staff were friendly and efficient. Accomodation was good and the general upkeep of the hotel was good. Lovely bar area, and the bar was available to us at all hours. Everything that we expected of the hotel was there and the only information we found lacking was that just 3 miles away from the hotel there was an excellent park and ride facility to take you into Plymouth."     Spacious room with sufficient seating and pleasant garden view. Plenty of storage space. Complimentary tray good. Bed comfortable. Car parking facilities were excellent as was the location.

    Hairdryer not very powerful and as I have problems with my hands it was difficult to keep the button pressed down for use. Trouser press was not hot enough.

    Good size room, with separate seating and table, with copies of Devon Life to read and tourist info provided. Our stay was in the summer heat so we appreciated the north facing room which kept cool. Good view onto the lawns.

    No air conditioning unit. Needed a separate sheet on the bed as an alternative to the duvet as it was such hot weather. Bathroom not bad, but beginning to show its age, but I'm being picky here!

    "The stay was good overall, the staff were all very helpful, although there was a little confusion due to the language barrier.
