    the food was very good, the staff excellent, the bed was comfortable

    bar snack food could be improved, quite expensive for what we got! I would have liked to of had the option of being able to book a room with a view of the river

    "Getting to the o2 was ok but the Taxi charged extra than hotel said and he was connected to it. ie always outside . And TFL and lack of Tube on way back took 3 hours " (107850888)

    The room was nice, Very relaxed no noise from other rooms

    Ease of getting to hotel if not for sat-nav would have been impossible in a car as lack of signs and very small service road coming from south east

    The hotel is in a perfect situation for access to the airport and to the city

    The room was tired and could be doing with a refurb. The bed was paricularily bad and I found myself sleeping on the chair for the period of my stay

    MATRESS WAS REALLY POOR, EXTREMELY SOFT AND ANY TIME YOU MOVED YOU ROLLED TOGETHER, THIS WAS SUPPOSED TO BE NEW, I WOULD DEFINATELY BEG TO DIFFER, OR YOU USE CHEAP AND VERY SOFT PRODUCT. I EXPECTED A FLAT SCREEN TV AND COMPLEMENTARY BISCUITS WOULD HAVE BEEN STANDARD, IF I HAD PAID THE USUAL TARRIF, I WOULD HAVE MADE A FUSS.

    The hotel staff were very pleasent and helpfull, the room size was excellent the facilities were very good. Very pleased with the location to the O2.

    Location and size of room.

    No cold water in morning at 7.00 a.m meaning water was scolding hot for shower. Very noisy till 1am due to party in hotel/adjacent hotel. Poor sound insulation between rooms. Very noisy air conditioning. Beds were far too soft. Bathroom was very basic.

    Friendly staff, room ready although we arrived before check in time.Bed very comfy and no problem asking for extra milk etc.Not near a road so nice and quiet

    No bad points apart from there being no biscuits on the tea tray!!

    Reception staff very helpful and friendly.

    No transport to ExCel which is being extended making it difficult to reach on foot around the building site. Taxis currently charging

    Everything was smooth, even found one of the free car park spots available! Room service arrived prompt even if we ordered after 10 PM.

    " Hotel is good quality nicely furnished and rooms are large rooms which was excellent. " (107665909)

    clean and well run hotel food in bar good although expensive

    no wireless access in room or wires hotel didn't mention east entrance of excel was closed due to works so if you were going for this purpose which most clients would be like me then it would have been good to know. The walk to excell was 15 mins instead of just across the road. Rates expensive for an out of city hotel.

    Very good staff

    concerned about the contamination of tongs used at breakfast as a vegetarian I had to ask for clean tongs as the ones used for meat was put into non meat section. Also Muslims and Jewish guests may unwittingly use bacon tongs

    "We booked a suite via the website. When ariving at the hotel we found we were only in a standard room, this was not a great start. the bed was uncomfortable one of the lights didt work properly. for the money i paid i expect better especially in a 4 star hotel. the staff were helpful if a trifle cold and snooty.     "the cleanliness of the hotel was excellent. our suite was very spacious and with stunning views of the thames. Our reason for the visit was to see a concert at the O2 Arena, the hotel was perfect for getting to the Arena and afterwards was very easy to get back to the hotel.     For a Suite, the rooms were very small and not good value for the money. The views from both rooms were whooly compromised by a very ugly concrete wall. Also to be placed opposite the lift doors was not appreciated, particularly as the Hotel let alone the actual floor was that full.

    "We booked this for it's location as we visited the O2 and needed a good size room to accomadate a family of 4. I would highly recomend this hotel." (97748709)

    We booked a suite and requested a balcony, and got both. Good size room with stunning views over canary wharf. The room was set up to accomodate our 2 children, bed setee made up etc. Found the lounge area very relaxing and breakfast service excellent with a good range.

    Restaraunt was busy so a carvery was the only offer, and it wasn't very good and very limited.

    "The car park was not free as indicated when we booked. The car park was full and we had to use the pay and display which failed to produce tickets on more than one occasion. Eventually spaces came available in front of the hotel but we received a parking ticket - along with several other guests - as they were designated disabled. there wer many trainee staff in bar and restaurant and many mistakes were made by them - cold coffee, wrong drinks, wrong wine with the evening meal."     "The hotel is a little far away from the city therefore taxis must be ordered. My intention always is to stay in the city so I can walk around after a strong day. But the positive side is the vicinity to London City Airport. It is in walking distance of 15 minutes. So far a stay for one night as I had it is fine. Annoying are the doors at every corridor. They are not necessary and they are obstacles when passing them with a luggage in one hand and a brief case in the other hand." (97551240)

    The hotel was very clean and not worn out. I refer to the breakfast. I must say it was good from my point of view. I found what I normally eat in the morning. The breakfast room is big and convenient with a look to the water side.

    The room was ok and the bathroom larger than in some other hotels. Only negative was that the bed is supported on rollers that means you feel like in a rollercoaster if moving around the room! TV had no German programs not a big problem your programs are also good.
