    Reasonable sized room - clean and well equipped.

    On site car parking virtually non existant (but Whitgift Center car park opposite is good and also cheap for an overnight stay).

    Very convenient location, lobby area, bar & restaurant facilities good, except for poor choice of cereals etc. at breakfast (see below)

    Very poor selection of TV channels. Limited range of cold breakfast items. Serious problem with shower (the head came away as I tried to adjust its angle!).

    Breakfast was OK

    Initial room had a broken bed. The Glazing at the hotel didn't filter out any of the traffic noise if you were unlucky enough to be on the front of the building. Carpets frayed - needs some serious money spending on it

    Great location.

    Due to one way system very hard to get to hotel enterance especially with bus lanes and tram lanes that have cameras. Hotel doesn't have any signs giving directions. Also states £8 per night parking actually £11.30 per night

    Friendly and helpful staff

    No parking on site and being a sole business traveller arriving usually late on a Sunday evening the parking was too remote. I was not comfortable entering the car park alone late into the evening.

    Bath took too long to drain so looked dirty after using - spotlight not working over bed - curtain would not 'stay' when drawn

    Very friendly helpful staff - asked if I needed a cot 4 my son. Inclusive cooked breakfast was excellent.

    I requested a cot online but it had not registered in my booking. No room service - would have been great as travelling alone with baby.

    "staff were very helpful and friendly. the hotel was scrupulously clean and tidy. the reception area was very well presented and it was in a good central location. the tram stop was directly outside the hotel making it easy to get around croydon and into london. booking process was stress free and straightforward. will definitely stay atthe jurys inn again!"     hotel was very close to local transport and a new shopping mall. staff were very friendly and had a good knowledge of the local area. they gave good advice on local restaurants, shops, public transport etc. late checkout although extra money wasn't until 6pm which was really good as its only usually until 2 at other hotels i've stayed at.

    we booked a triple room which had 1 double bed and a single. it would have been nice to have had 3 singles.

    Beautifully clean rooms. Comfy bed, and spotless linen.

    Air-con was extremely noisy. Check in was a little slow, but of no fault to the receptionist, as she was on her own, and the calls were coming in thick and fast! Car PArking was a bit of a pain being across the road, especially with bags and I.T.equipment.

    "I choose this particular hotel as I have been to conferences and training courses at the Birmingham branch and during my time, I have been very impresssed with the service and food. I did not enjoy my stay andwas glad it was only for one night. " (108071811)

    It was cheap.....Then you pay for what you get!

    The towels and sheets need to be washed in comfort or some other form of conditioner that would make them softer. Try a different brand of toilet paper the one in the bathroom was very rough. We knew we had to check out at or before 12, so we didnot appreciate the house keeper banging our door at 9.45am. The taps either need special cleaning or replacing. Limescale on the shower curtain. The room took ages to warm up as though it had been unoccupied for a long time. When I called for assistance the gentlemen said he would send someone up in 15minutes - NO ONE CAME. The bedhead had dried on sticky stuff. which I cleaned off myself. The room felt over looked from the offices opposite. Why when I phoned the hotel the gentelmen told me there was no space and then I booked afterwards with reservations?

    "I would have liked to know I had to bring my own towel for after showering but other than that everything was very satisfactory. Room was basic but what you expect for the price and very clean and tidy and staff at reception were very helpful and polite. The machine in reception with bits in that you may have forgotten is a good touch for people too busy or not staying long enough to go to the shops." (97265689)

    It was very clean and the room was quiet even though it's in a central location

    Didn't appear to be any room service available as we were on 9th floor it was long way to carry food back up! There were no large towels in the room to dry after a shower.

    The bar stayed open until 1.30 but I didn't use it

    Room was ok butthe air con was noisy and had the sound of continual running water. I didn't complain as I had some good ear plugs and I was tired,butif I hadn't of had them I would have made a complaint

    The location of the hotel was very convenient to the office. It was also very convenient to the shopping mall.

    You need get some new cleaners they made the bed but thats about it the sink was blocked and they just left it

    "Parking is at the Whitgift Centre over the road from the hotel - don't make the mistake we made and try to find a car park attached to the hotel. The hotel will validate your parking ticket on departure. Parking charges are £7 for 24 hours and then £1 an hour thereafter" (97782832)

    "I booked the room on the morning of the day I needed the room and did not know the booking needed to be at least 24 hours before the stay. Your receptionist indicated if the order is received after occupying the room and being charged directly by the hotel, the internet booking will be cancelled free of charge." (97695695)

    "Rooms OK but the hotel staffs handling of the reservation problem at time of check in left a lot to be desired. I am endeavouring to ensure that I only pay for one nights accomodation and that such is at the rate I was offered when I booked through Active Hotels. To be fair to them when I subsequently made a formal complaint the member of staff I dealt with was curteous and promised to look into and resolve the matter. On the plus side the hotel is centrally located but the lack of on site car parking facilities is a downer (you have to use the local NCP which is about 100mts away). Reckon this is pretty much a one off situation and so would use again." (97978208)

    Room was reasonable size with relatively new furniture and most importantly it was clean

    The fact that there was a foul up with the booking with the hotel claiming my booking was for the previous night ! A room was however provided but at the hotels higher rack rate.
