  "I think the star rating is not always indicative of the quality of the hotel. In particular as previously mentioned our room was drab and dark. We also found we could hear people next door flushing their loo and generally we suffered from noise from adjoining rooms - people walking around, running water etc particularly bothersome late at night. We also found that cans of coke in the mini bar were well out of date - found I was drinking one with a date of Jan 2004 although suffered no ill effects!!" (2179449)

  Location was good.

  Our room was small and dark although very clean. Think the hotel would benefit from refurbishing - woodwork was painted dark brown and our room was very drab. However the outdoor pool was excellent.

  "We felt that this hotel was good value for money, especially given that we travelled in high season. Our room was small but clean and comfortable with a fine decor and a great shower - the terrace was an excellent bonus (although we were placed on the shadowed side of the building which was very disappointing!). The minibar was of sufficent size to store a small lunch brought in from the nearby market. The pool is beautiful and is nice compensation for the absence of a decent beach - although paying to use a towel and having to return it to the bar by 7 pm was quite irritating given what we were already paying for the room. the old town was close walking distance with excellent shopping and restaurants. The staff were excellent - all very friendly. The food was mediocre at best - but if you are going to Italy to eat in your hotel restaurant you are seriously missing the point! Breakfast was sufficient to get you through to lunch and the avaiability of good quality fresh fruit made up for it. Despite feeling a bit overcharged on some items, I did believe this hotel was good overall value for the season and I would consider staying there again as a budget(ish) break." (2522636)

  "The hotel staff are the main drawcard of this hotel. All are pleasant and helpful, often going beyond our expectations. The decor of the hotel is rather tired and outdated but was kept in very good order. We prefer a double bed and I realise now that I should have requested one, on booking. Our room had a glorious view of the sea and the balcony enabled us to fully appreciate the outlook. It is a delightful stroll into the town centre from the hotel." (2433721)

  Cleanliness of rooms and hotel. Helpful reception staff. Excellent pool. Location very good, quiet! with enjoyable 20 min walk to Alghero.

  Only had breakfast but waiting staff could be more interested in helping guests have a good experience. Breakfast could be improved.

  "I did go onto the Hotels website when I returned and saw that the rate of the room had I booked it direct would have been 40 euros cheaper had I booked direct. I was a little disapointed, but it didnt spoil our visit as this was something I found out on my return." (2377359)

  I really liked the location near to Alghero town center and the amenities within the Hotel. The staff were really friendly and went out of their way to ensure that we had a good stay.

  Controlling the drunk German male guests at the hotel. They made us feel a little uncomfortable as they were constantly by the pool and as two young females we were constantly harassed if we chose to sit out. We ended up having to go the beach nearby and sit within the families there to get away from them.

  "good hotel, facilities could be advertised more, is sauna etc Evening meals were expensive were if cheaper more people would eat in hotel Beach could have been kept cleaner, ie rubbish, bottles But genearal good hotel and for a 4 day break ideal and would go back again" (2327287)

  "As two ladies travelling we felt safe and looked after. We both feel we would be happy to come to your hotel on our own if we had to." (1389498)

  no extra coffe at breakfast offered, dinning room drab and depresssing. no real interest in food served although overall it was acceptable breakfast limited, room in need of new soft furnishings and look tired.
