    Never saw any staff during the day, Beds uncomfortable due to the plastic under sheet,Breakfast too early Between 8.30 and 9.00

    "I feel that overall the hotel was very good, it served the purpose that we needed it for and it was very well priced. I was glad that there was a price including breakfast and not including breakfast as me and my boyfriend are quite fussy and it was easier for us to eat breakfast out, without having to pay the hotel for something we dont like or want. the only bad about the whole experience was the parking. the location is good as it is near the town and the sea but still quite the way and in a quiet street so there was no loud noise from the fair near by when we were trying to sleep. Also the online booking process through the website was a bit confusing as i gave my debit card details but then we paid cash when we got there, i know this was only a garantee for no shows- but still, it was not very clear on the booking form. the hotel was nice and clean and tidy."     It was close to the sea front, breakfast was an optional extra instead of having to pay for something I didnt want and then eating out at a cafe for breakfast anyway. the room was clean and tidy, the facilities in the room, eg tea coffee, ensuite, digital tv

    the parking facilites were not very good, there were not enough spaces and the parking at the rear was a tight squeeze

    The wc have a water mark round the bowl, this would suggest that it had not been cleaned properly. Neither the washbasin or the carpet in the room were cleaned during my stay of 4 days. The fitted bedlinen appeared not to fit the bed size. ie. it was too big.

    "The accommodation was excellent. I had a very pleasant stay in the hotel. The food was well cooked and the hotel was very clean and pleasant. My only criticism was the lady of the house was not that friendly, with very little eye contact and her role was functional rather than personable. I have stayed in many hotels and guest houses over a 40 year period and staff have been much more socialable. The Hotel is excellent though." (99592712)

    "The room was small but then it was only a place to lay my head for a couple of nights. Breakfast was adequate but serving time was limited 8.30 -9.00 if i had been travelling on business then I would probably not have had chance to take it. On the other hand i didn" (99786597)

    The rooms were warm, clean, comfortable and had all the facilities we needed. The lounge was also comfortable in the evenings.

    We liked the room, it was very clean. The location was great, just a walk away from the shops and the beach. The staff were very nice. definately stay again!

    Close and quiet location to beach.

    Small en-suite. Not much chance to sleep in as breakfast has to be taken before 9am.

    homely rooms, warm, lots of storage , peaceful.

    well i myself would just change one thing, put mugs in the rooms , if people have travelled far and wide , them teacups are just not adequate enough, you cant beat a mug of tea . I think i talk for lots of people after hearing the same .

    We enjoyed the friendly service of the hotel team. the location was also excellent, close to centre and all main attractions.

    We feel that overall, the hotel was excellent...even down to the quirky shower / loo in a cupboard! In terms of imporvements, non really!

    "The hotel owners were very pleasant welcoming you with a smile. the room was very comfortable everything that we needed was available within the room. food was exellent and plenty off it. the whole of the hotel was very clean & tidy rooms were cleaned every day. both my son & I really enjoyed our stay.     "We both love Devon and have been many times before. Hotel is at Preson sands end of Paignton so excellent if you had young children. Area was quiet at night. Unfortunately some of the guests were not so quiet at night. This was in early part of week and not the fault of the hotel itself. Once these guests checked out it was very quiet at night. We would definitely stay there again and reccomend this B&B hotel to anyone." (2378322)

    "We had a very enjoyable stay. It is close to the beach. Parking was not a problem and we had no complaints at all. The food was excellent with a good choice although the time span was limited to 8.30 to 9.00. This did not cause us a problem as we rise early anyway." (2128830)

    The Bedroom and other areas like the lounge and dining room were clean and welcoming. We were able to come and go as we pleased with out time restrictions.

    A Shelf in the bathroom to accommadate toiletries.

    "Hotel was convenient for what we wanted to do, i.e. visit our friends and sightseeing, it was close enough to the beach and town centre to walk but far enough away to be quiet at night (except for the seagulls squawking at 04:00 in the morning). We found the room to be bit on the small side which was OK for length of we were staying but any longer than that might have been a bit trying. The breakfasts were good, well cooked and plenty of it." (2293344)

    "The hotel is located a short walk from the beaches and town centre, and being at the end of a cul de sac there is no passing traffic. There is no bar, but it is only a minute's walk to a very nice P.H. at the other end of the road and there are dozens of other watering holes within easy reach." (1928936)

    The hotel was spotlessly clean throughout, there was an excellent selection of breakfasts and we were served by a very pleasant waitress. The bed was comfortable and there was an adequate car parking facility.

    A bar would have pleased my wife, but I understand that recently Torbay Council increased the annual licensing fee to a prohibitive level for a small hotel.

    "They must be professional decorators - the standard of the rooms was so high. Comfy or what? I dont normally sleep well the first night - but I did in this one. Description of the room was spot on - so no surprises. Clean & tidy, and some pretty cool guests as well - I think I talked to all of them at some point in time. Not intrusive - just chat if you wanted to." (2303587)

    Excellent - I have stayed in hundreds of hotels worldwide, so I can compare it with a few. Warm, friendly, the owners forgave my mis-booking, and couldnt do enough for me. I was asked at my 2nd breakfast if I wanted my usual ? !! as if I stayed there all year round! I can also say they are highly professional. Would I stay again - absolutely (if they let me).
