    Sehr freundliches Personal. Excellentes Frühstücksbuffet.

    Im Doppelzimmer konnte man nur von einer Seite und von vorne ins Bett einsteigen. Nicht sehr bequem, wenn man um die 60 ist!

    Great value for money. Good airport transfer service for early flight. Breakfast from 5 am.

    Room wasn't ready until 5 pm.

    Excellent hôtel. Chambre et salle de bain confortables et propres. Ambiance générale soignée.

    Certains sandwiches préparés par l'hôtel pour le petit déjeuner avant le transfert vers l'aéroport n'étaient pas frais du tout... Immangeables. Dommage.

    Really liked this hotel - Great service and very nice breakfast. Free taxi from the airport at any time.

    The restaurant was closed due to renovations but was supposed to open up soon. The staff showed me to a great restaurant located near by

    Excellent service.

    The only choice of restaurant is Chinese. I would appreciate the opportunity to have Icelandic food choices.

    "The hotel is well situated in Keflavik town, within 3 mins walk of 2 restaurants, and 5 mins walk to the sea. It is only 10 mins drive to airport. The staff will book you a taxi to the airport at any time. Staff are welcoming and efficient. We were pleased with the availability of breakfast at 05.00 before catching our early flight. And it was a good breakfast buffet too!" (99249239)

    "A good choice of hotel despite the suite room being compact, although there were 2 separate small rooms for us and for the children. There was free internet access so that we could check on up-to-date flight information. The evening meal in the Chinese restaurant was excellent and not too expensive for Iceland. The breakfast was also excellent (starts really early as well) and was included in the price of the room which was very competitive. Do ask for directions to the airport (if driving) as we got a bit lost in Keflavik town!!! The hotel is very near to a small petrol station which was useful to us and there was no problem checking out of the hotel early in the morning." (99981573)

    It was near the airport (stopover hotel) and meals were available. Tea/coffee making facilities were in the room.

    The suite room for 4 people was a little cramped and the hot water was not very hot.

    There is too much heat at the room when I arrive - this is my 4. time at the hotel and it is the same.. too much heat and no windows!!

    "we were happily surprised to see that the family room we booked actually had two rooms with two beds and a tv each - we expected one room with 4 beds. It turned out that we got the bridal suite. So, in a sense, you're underselling your family room ..." (3304889541)

    * the spacious and well-equipped family room - actually, there were two rooms. it more than served its purpose; a lastnight stay before flying back home * the well-assorted breakfast buffet, which is available from 5 am * the proximity to the airport * the gas-station (almost) next door, which operations 24/7 - handy to fuel up your rental

    it is not something that we really disliked - it was just odd to us that we could not open a window in our room (we, Dutch, are used to sleeping with a window open)

    Very nice staff. Offered us early check-in since our room was available and even suggested we have the complimentary breakfast upon our arrival.

    "As a frequent traveller I have seen many hotels around the world. The Hotel Keflavik was however way out of the standard I would expect from a hotel on Iceland with the rating and pricing structure in force. I reserved a Suite for family (max 5 adults per room) as we were two adults and two children. However, the room was equipped with one king size bed and one single bed plus a small sofa which was could not be converted into a bed. It would be totally impossible to to sleep 5 adults in beds provided in the room and there was no space for any extra beds. Upon complaint the staff did offer a smaller room buf where it was possible to set up four beds covering almost the entire floor space leaving no space for luggage or escape in case of fire or similar. The staff refused to explain how five adults could sleep in the suite room provided. The finish of the room was far from what one should expect from a hotel with the price and rating as Hotel Keflavik. Next to the single bed was a wall where a radiator had been removed without any repainting or removing of the dangerous parts that we had to cover with a blanket so the child sleeping in this bed did not hurt himself on these. Furthermore the bathroom had several cracks in the floor and mould on the walls." (3305130832)

    "The suite accommodation was clean and comfortable for a family of four. It was good to have separate rooms within a suite - when we have shared rooms with the children in the past it has often been too hot or noisy to sleep with wispers of are you asleep yet? ending in laughter but no sleep.Each room in the suite (two rooms) had a TV. The breakfast was good and the staff were very helpful and all spoke perfect english. The complimentary Taxi service to/from the airport was superb. Some small improvements would have helped our overnight stay - Coffee and Tea making facilities in the room would have been good to make a refreshing drink after the flight - we arrived too late to investigate other tea/coffee facilities in the hotel. The only niggle about the suite was that the shower area in our suite was rather small - this may have been different in another suite - but on the plus side the shower was great." (1851869)

    "The facilities in the hotel were good but basic as we only really used it as a base for our weekend. We heard our 'neighbours' through the walls and on arrival we were given the wrong room from that which we had booked but this was quickly rectified with no arguement. Keflavik is a quiet place with no touristy bits which I didn't know before I booked but nice, friendly and clean. The hotel had lots of ideas for things to do which we found helpful." (2379957)

    Even though the room was kept clean, it was looking a little 'tired'. The breakfast was basic but adequate for our needs but this was the area where I felt the high cost of the hotel fell short and was not justified.

    easy access from airport. Good location for first day of holiday in iceland - go whale watching 2 minutes from hotel, visit Blue Lagoon.

    Breakfast was unacceptable, buffet was empty, the person in charge was not refreshing the buffet, coffee machine regularly, etc. Room decoration & furniture is very disappointing.
