    Das Hotel ist super schön und man fühlt sich in die Zeit der Vikinger zurück versetzt.

    Frühstück ist ok, aber nichts besonderes.

    the price of the room was more expensive than the reservation I maid and iI'm not happy to pay more than the price I printed on my booking confirmation what can I do for that?? When I arrived at the hotel I didn't have my booking confirmation with me and It was impossible for me to chek the price, and I thout tha the hotel manager was honest. Please tell me what can I do?     Very good and nice restaurant. Room a bit small.

    Had to get used to the high prices in Iceland !

    Kettle didn't work, no one in reception to greet us.

    "I would have liked to have known that the hotel was undergoing renovations. Though busing was close, a car was a definite asset as the hotel was not in the centre of town. Overall, I would stay here again as it was good value for your money." (3304166329)

    Our roon was large and clean. The breakfest was excellent. The staff were great.

    The hotel was under constuction but will be a great place to stay .

    "It would have been helpful if an area for guest parking was near to the hotel, with signs saying so. The Viking village was very good but did they need all of the car park? It was very unfortunate to have the builders there at the same time as everything else but I supose winter weather stops them from working then? I would recommend the Hotel but strongly advise anyone my age to carfully check details of above before booking." (3304045499)

    The room was good and the resturant food was excellent with good service.

    When I arrived I found that the complete hotel had been fenced off and I couldn't get near the hotel to book in, because of the Viking village taking over the whole of the car park. On reaching the Hotel I realised extensive work was being carried out by the builders. Builders create noise and dust and these were no exception. I was given a room overlooking the Viking village but realised what a disadvantage this was when the disco went on until 4:00am the next morning, fine when your 22 years old, not so at 62. However the staff were very kind and changed my room for me.

    Bizarre Viking theme, and excellent if somewhat eccentric Viking Restaurant!

    Building work on our floor. Told our room was a double but it was a twin - this on the first night of our honeymoon!!!

    "Had a great time. Check out hotel closing times as they do seem to close early. (earlier that in England it seems) .... There's alway Dominoes Pizza!! The Staff were very friendly and helpfull in telling us about the local area. Overall a great time!" (3304053466)

    "There are building and development works going on at the hotel at the moment. While this didn't affect our stay, it would have been helpful to know beforehand as there is currently scaffolding surrounding the main part of the hotel, so it doesn't quite look like its photo at the moment when first trying to find it! However, we would definately go there again for the same price." (3304024482)

    Relaxing atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff, liked the hotel decoration in appropriate 'Viking' style.

    The shower was tiny and water either trickled out or flooded the bathroom completely, other than that everything else was fine.

    "Our stay in the Viking Hotel and Hafnafjodour was very enjoyable. It would have been useful to have clearer information on when the reception was open. Written information on use of the 'hot tub' would also have been useful in the hotel room information booklet." (1438178)

    The accommodation was clean, quirky and friendly

    The reception was not open all the time and when we arrived it was unclear where/ how to find staff to check in

    "We all felt very relaxed at the hotel despite the rooms being small. Breakfast was a good meal of yoghurts, fruit, cold meats and fantastic bread rolls which set us up for each days sightseeing. (Iceland has such breathtaking scenery that we sometimes forgot to stop for lunch.) Our lady Viking hostess at breakfast was most helpful, offering advice on what to see and even on one day lending us the hotel's copy of a road atlas so that we would not get lost on a long trip - a simple gesture but much appreciated."     room very small, poor wardrobe. Staff in adjacent restaurant not hotel when arriving late at night.
