  "For us, a wonderful over-night treat! The hotel style is a very attractive mix of genuine classical and the best of moderne. Our room was everything we expected and needed, without unwanted trimmings. But the more public areas we found exceptional. The bright and airy Orangerie was the perfect place to chat and sip good coffee, while the sumptuous couches in the splendid Ballroom begged us to sit and read the newspapers cover-to-cover. We were lulled by the murmur of lively conversation all around. In the evening the Italian Restaurant in the basement was very relaxed and intimate; the food and service excellent. Back in our room, the bed was very much to our liking, perfect in every respect, both for imaginative love-making and for sound refreshing sleep. Dublin may not have the wild beauty of Kerry or Connemara, but I do not know of a better place in this area to bring out the true love and romance in a relationship." (1917103)

  "I enjoyed everything about the hotel, but one thing seemed to annoy me, On the evening of our arrival we were asked what paper would we like the following day I said the Sunday Independent, which we received on the Sunday morning. When I was checking out I noticed I was been charged for the paper, this was not made known to me when I was asked what paper I would like. I have stayed in other hotels where the paper is provided with compliments of the hotel. I am aware it is only €2 but its the principal I didn't like. My suggestion is either don't offer the paper, or make it known that persons are being charged for it or otherwise provide the paper with the compliments of the hotel. I suggest the later as other hotels do." (1850315)

  Very good atmosphere for a relaxing night away with a fabulous italian restaurant
