    "Have been coming to Manchester for years to visit our son/stepson but this was our first stay at the Midland. We were very happy about our choice and were very comfortable in our room. The Christmas decos were lovely. All the staff we encountered were very pleasant and helpful." (108109628)

    "We booked this hotel as it was only a two minute walk to the Bridgewater Hall where we were attending a concert. Our room was ready even though we arrived four hours too early for check-in, which was great. The bedroom was superb, having booked a twin we were delighted to have a double bed each in the very spacious room. After a hard day's shopping we had the warm swimming pool to ourselves, which eased a few aches and pains! The buffet breakfast was excellent with a choice to suit everyone. The hotel was busy but the staff were very efficient." (108504078)

    Great location, five minutes walk from Deansgate station and Metro system opposite the hotel.

    Just over eight pounds for a glass of wine in one of the hotel's bars!

    Efficient process and quality hotel

    No headboard on bed Had to queue for breakfast for 45 minutes then (understandably) breakfast restuarant was crowded and foodstuffs ran out quickly. If it is usual that there are busy breakfast times (we chose 10 am with opening hours from 7am - 11am) then that should be made clear at check-in.

    Offered early check in when requested, was ideally located within walking distance of City centre / theatres etc. Room and bathroom were comfortable and very clean. Reception staff were helpful and friendly

    The Midland is a very nice central located hotel. It provides excellent services.

    There was a party going on somewhere in the hotel during my stay. The loud music was at times rather irritating.

    wardrobe in room, the doors could not be opened fully due to masking tape at the bottom. mini bar locked, doorman using foul language. one packet of buiscuts between two people.

    Staff, room size and facillities, location,

    Only one lift out of three working on the first day, however maintanance crew working round the clock and second lift working on second day, probably fixed the other one by now.

    The fire alarm went off in the morning when me and my little girl was in the swimming pool, and she was a bit scared, but the staff looked after her and calmed her down.

    "I have stayed in your hotel before and again there was a wedding reception taking place so you should be aware of what rooms you are placing other guests in. The hotel is ideally located and is very clean. As stated previously, the room size was fantastic but the decor was so dull and depressing. It was my sisters big birthday and I cant really say the room was special. I did mention her birthday at reception and enquired if we could upgrade as it did state this on the booking form but obviosly subject to availability, my request was denied. It was most disappointing to find a cot in the room which also clarifies a personal touch was missing. If two people are allocated a room without children, the cot should have been removed beforehand. Having said that, I dont mean to be so negative but on my previous visits to your hotel our room had been excellent which is why I brought my sister with me. On this occasion I really wanted it to be special and it wasnt." (97894274)

    There were two double beds in the room and the room was very spacious.

    The decor was dark and quite depressing. There was a cot in the room that had definitely not been requested. Wedding taking place and the noise and singing went on all night so could not sleep. I would have been extremely angry had I of been on a business trip.
