    Lovely view from room -were delighted. Staff were welcoming and effficient. Overall had a lovely time and would certainly return.

    Hair dryer falling apart and loose door handle on bathroom. Not major but niggly.

    Staff were friendly and helpful

    Room was very small and cramped and the decor was not in a good state (wallpaper peeling) Was not advised on booking online that the hotel had a nightclub underneath.

    Room windows should be cleaned. Price high when compared with chains such as travelodge.

    "A good room with excellent view. Clean and bright pleasent room lovely bathroom excellent shower. Very efficient service at breakfast with excellent food. Wonderful kippers. Everyone was very nice and we enjoyed our stay very much would be happy to stay at the Hydro again." (97968867)

    Friendly family run hotel with comfortable rooms. My daughter and myself booked in for a 3 night stay monday to thursday in a twin room. The entertainment on the wednesday evening was very good. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hydro.

    The only bad point I can think of is the lack of scenery from our hotel window, we were out siteseeing for most of the day anyway, ours was a last minute booking, if booked early on an extra £4 gets you a sea view if preffered.

    Location was excellent.Food very good but room a little dated but okay for overnight stay on onward journey to Port Erin scuba diving for the week following.Room booked after ferry crossing on that evening.

    Excellent room, spacious with great sea views. Hotel clean , tidy and well-run. Efficient staff. Tasty breakfasts!

    Bar prices expensive. Water leaked into our room from guests above taking a late shower !

    Courtesy of staff was econd to none. The staf work very hard but retain a smile on their faces, excellent.

    Room could have been more modern and was a litle on he small side.

    "The Staff were very helpful when I called to say I'd be late checking in, the person I spoke to was friendly and helpful. The room was a very good size and the view from my room was lovely. There was a bit of a dodgey floor board in the room though, which concerned me a little. Also the wall-paper in the en-suite was coming off the walls a little in places, which isn't very good to see. The breakfasts were fine and all I needed. I think the best parts of this Hotel were the freindly and welcoming staff and the location of it." (97223833)

    The Hotel is in an ideal location for the main town and right on the beach so lovely views

    Could do with a few coats of paint in places and some re-decoration perhaps. Maybe a bit of modernising.

    "In a competitive market, the Hydro falls well below modern standards. It was like going back to the 1980s" (97185508)

    The booking process was simple and the hotel was able to alter my booking date at short notice when my arrival was delayed.

    Staff seemed uninterested in customer service. The room was on the seafront but had poor single glazing, which let in a considerable draft in high winds. The bathroom door was poorly maintained. The breakfast choice was very old fashioned - table service rather than a more relaxed buffet. I left my luggage on the final day as I was leaving late. When I returned it was simply behind the front desk, in full view and unattended. No attempt was made to indetify me when I asked to take it. I could have been anyone.
