    "Good except the 1st few days service was poor when i have internet issue. They just assume that is was laptop problem without actually wanting to come and have a look at their self. Causing me to move out to another room aftr i insist them to come n check. It was actually the LAN port in that room that was not working. Wasted my time trying to connect to internet the whole day since i needed it for work purpose" (107492100)

    1 - one of the bulb lamps, by the bed, died the day I arrived. I failed to report it to desk the following day. I noticed it had been changed when I came back in the evening. 2 - generous breakfast

    1 - the floor of each lift sticks. Clean? 2 - I paid 9.9 pounds even though I used the internet connection, via the WEB TV, for less than one hour. When I asked I was informed that the 1.5 pounds charge / hour applied if I would have used my laptop. I thought it was unfair.

    Nothing in my room worked, the tv didn't have any movies or internet working. They have no parking yet advertised that they did, parking costs

    "In general, the fabric of the hotel and its facilities was good. The only member of staff who supplied a good service was the trainee member of staff on duty on the evening of 8 June. The other staff on duty on 8 June and during the 8-9am period of 9 June were poor." (108027834)

    On-duty receptionist at check-in was training but was good. The hotel, room and facilities were clean and in working order, as expected by Express by Holiday Inn hotels.

    Shortly after check-in at approximately 10pm there was a substantial queue of people at the bar, with the only two visible members of staff concentrating on checking one female guest in rather than one dealing with check-in and one dealing with the customers waiting at the bar. The supervising member of staff appeared to regard the customers waiting at the bar as being at his beck and call rather than that he was actually meant to be providing a service to them. When he eventually realised the queue was there he served my drink in a dirty glass with lipstick and grime clearly visible, and when challenged and a clean glass requested, was about to pour the drink into the clean glass. Luckily for him, he reconsidered and prepared a fresh drink for me. The service at the bar throughout the rest of the evening was slow and poor. The morning receptionist was terrible. At check-out I requested a taxi which she agreed to book for me. She began by calling a firm which did not serve the area to which I was travelling. She had to call a second firm, and having already been advised of my destination (which she did not write down), had to ask for it again. When confirming the booking with the taxi firm she asked me for the information a third time, and when I asked her to request journey time and pricing details she didn't. When she ended the call and I asked her for the journey and pricing information she called the taxi company again and asked for the information - but again had to be reminded where I was travelling to in order to obtain the information for the correct journey! When the taxi arrived she did not point out it was me that was waiting for the car, and left it to me to identify that I was the customer when I had no knowledge that there had been no other guests requesting taxi services that morning.

    the hotel was clean and well set out with everything easily accessible.

    the parking was a short walk from the hotel and there was an additional fee to park there. Not knowing the area we found it difficult to find our way back. We were given a map but it was hard to follow. I was confused by the whole payment situation as I had my switch card swiped on two seperate occasions at the hotel aswell as providing my details online initially. My card was swiped when I arrived at check in and when I left the following day. I know that these things need to be checked/verified but this was a little excessive and the man behind the desk could not or did not give me a reason why this was happening.He was in fact a little rude, looking at me like I should know and I shouldn't be questioning him!! Admittedly it was new years day and I guess staff will have been tiered but Im not telepathic!!!!!

    "Overall the hotel was adequate, there was a general lack of staff to keep on top of the consumption of breakfast utensils and cups/glasses. the lack of clean knives and forks, and a lack of a cooked breakfast option was also annoying. Finally the main bathroom, whilst small, and with a powerful shower, had a number of leaks which casues water to seep in through the joints between the tiled floor and wall. This appears to be a common problem with this hotel, and after experiencing it and reportign it three times i shall take my business elsewhere." (97467844)

    "I would highly recommend this hotel due to its accommodations and friendliness of staff. It was difficult to find if you are not very familiar with the London streets in this particular area but I would not let this prevent you from staying at the hotel.     Absolutely clean, modern and excellent breakfast

    Movie access was not working. Had to park the car 3 blocks away and walk back to hotel.

    "Breakfast. Fruit selection poor, only tinned grapefruit. If only continental offered should have a better choice of fruit. Many plates in the pile not properly cleaned. Was the coffee instant ?     No Non Smoking room available so offered disabled room no major problem except an unpleasant smell in bathroom. One towel in shabby condition. Overall uninteresting room

    "Parking was at some distance to hotel and due to Street MArket a ten minute drive to get to althouth a 5 minute walk to get back to.not informed of this when booking which was dissappointing as we are not familiar with the road systems in Croydon, it caused a small amount of stress although a reasonable discount was given on parking tarriff. HOtel staff were friendly and helpful. Would have preferred hot breakfast ervice in the morning in stead of self serve cold breakfast, although there was plenty of it. IN room email facilities(from personal PC) were available but were dificult to access, 10th floor business centre email access worked well although this meant traipsing up to the 10th floor from 3rd each time we wanted to use it. Good for clean efficient business overnight, not so hot for romantic getaway." (99426947)

    "Would have liked a room larger than a postage stamp, but it was o.k. It was quiet and clean, I liked that the best. A continental breakfast should include scrambled eggs, sausage (American, not that tasteless English stuff), and waffles/pancakes. Some Arab guest didn't use deodorant, like for the last ten years.
