    We loved the hotel. The staff was great and always helpful...Great places to eat recommended and the tour desk helped us book our great tours....We would stay there again and have told many people about your hotel. Loved the pool and spa area...Good walk up the hill for the view and the Geysir...

    "Too far from town, even with a bus service. No where to walk to easily. You are basically stuck there once you arrive, unless you have a car or emply a taxi. I would gladly spend an additional US $ 40 per night to stay closer to town and restaurant alternatives. " (107941208)

    Semi-friendly staff but overly occupied in their own conversations with each other. Guests wait until they finish.

    Pool and Sauna staff were quite inpolite. Hotel food was 4 on a scale of 10. Same small and limited menu daily. Too much wind noise coming around the window prevented going to sleep easily.

    "A clean well run hotel with excellent support from the reception desk. They were very helpful and would even help with calling for reservations at local restaurants. Check in was a breeze and even though it is listed as being later in the day (2 PM), we had no problem getting in and settled early in the day after arriving on an early flight. It was marvelous to be able to arrive, get settled, clean up and start our visit. A separate desk location handles travel and local tours to include travel to and from the airport. If there is nobody in that office to ask about a schedule, you are stuck. This didn't happen often but (as always occurs) it happens when you can least afford to be wrong as with travel to the airport for a departing flight. Response to difficulties with our room in the one instance there was a problem was immediate and complete. Breakfast was a pleasure with coffee immediately available. It did sometimes get very crowded but this was not a problem if you got there on the early side. If you are planning on tours and the like, this is a well known location to the drivers and local taxi drivers that made getting around even easier. We made use of the shuttle as the walk to the city center while possible, would be fairly long. It would have been nice to have the hotel shuttle available more often. The schedule during the day is limited. We made good use of it as a trip to the center of town is about 1000 Ikr. Views from the room, as another traveler noted on the web, vary. Ours was to the side with a view of adjacent portions of the hotel and the nearby airfield. As little time was spent in the room during the day...this was a minor irritant. Overall a good choice. It is noteworthy to say that in our walks about the city we ran accross other hotels we had seen on the web and in person they were not as I would have expected. Usually the location and adjacent buildings were the findings that made us happy to have stayed where we did. This hotel was as expected and was quite satisfactory. I would stay again." (99354571)

    The hotel was convenient for a visit to Reykjavik. The room was immaculate and was, in my case, well located near the elevator. All essentials for a simple visit are there. I made no use of the the pool or the like and used the hotel as a base from which to tour and travel locally...well suited for that.

    Room was quite small and there was little room to open and maintain a sizable suitcase or two. A view of the adjacent building was all to see and noise from the adjacent airfield was sometimes difficult. I would add that the main difficulty was with the local excursion company. Getting up to date factual information on schedules was sometimes difficult. A change in schedule that was not reflected in the schedule printed resulted in an hours wait.

    "It is a good 20 minute walk into town, or 1,300 ISK by taxi, but we hired a car for 3 out of our 4 days, so it didn't matter to us. A good buffet breakfast set us up for our full days, and we had the buffet in the hotel restaurant one night, which was very nice and reasonable value compared to restaurants in town. Alcohol everywhere is expensive, but we followed the advice in our guidebook and took our duty-free allowance with us. Good move! The hotel has a very nice pool, and the staff were very friendly. I chose it from an Internet search, and it was good value. I'd be happy to stay again, but would recommend you consider a superior room if possible. They also have Art Rooms and Deluxe Rooms, but don't know what they are like. Might be worth asking." (99407391)

    Initially the room we were given was a very small standard twin, though I had requested a double when booking. When I asked for a double we were given a much nicer and larger superior room, which we were very happy in for the 4 nights of our stay.

    We would have been very disappointed in the originally allocated standard twin room, as it was very small and spartan, and not of the standard I would expect for this category hotel.

    The nearby airport kept their plains on the ground during the nights. We onley heard them during daytime and early evenings. Breakfastbuffet was OK. Refridgerator on the room.

    Swimmingpool wasn't open all days.

    You were informing on the webpage about a fitness room; that is in my opinion one big lie, there is only old, poor and very few machines, the running belt is making so much noise it is impossible to use with out hearing protector. The internet was not running, so it was not possible to check emails and ect
