    Good location in centre of lovely old town.

    When we came to settle the bill, the male receptionist presented us with a bill for 120 euros more than we had agreed to pay for the room with Active Hotels. When I showed him my booking confirmation with the correct amount he said that the hotel did not take internet bookings or use Active Hotels. We had to stand our gound to pay the agreed amount and he was extremely unpleasant and brusque. This is the first time this has happened with Active Hotels and I use them many times a year so I assume that it was the hotel at fault. It was our 35th wedding anniversary and this incident mared an otherwise pleasant stay.

    Bedroom was spacious, bathroom a very nice size,at breakfast as the room became full they open the other area.The staff were very friendly.

    The scramble egg at breakfast appeared to be reconstitueted (powder)

    Hotel is generally in good condition, and rooms are very spacious and well fitted - particularly for France. Staff were all helpful and friendly.

    Did not have any bad points!

    "Have stayed in Montreuil a number of times and always use Hermitage. Package inclusive of breakfast represents good value for money as a little overpriced at 15 euros if paying seperately. Staff very friendly and attentive and rooms sufficiently well appointed. Recommended. " (108843805)

    Friendly staff Location in town Value for money

    No real bad points. Restaurant adjoining, not part of hotel itself, but plenty of other excellent restaurants nearby - spoilt for choice.

    A spacious, well kept hotel with parking facilities at the rear. The bedroom was of a reasonable size with modern, clean facilities (inc TV). The breakfast (included in our room rate) was very well presented (in a very spacious room), with a large choice of hot or cold food and drinks.

    There was no tea/coffe making facilities in the room. The hotel parking was an additional 10 euros which is a little expensive.

    Excellent service all round. Ideally placed for access to town, Wine Society and the excellent Jereboam bistro.

    "Very good and special offer price was the most competative in Montreil Improve the reataurant menu there are so many great local food sources in the Montreil area to offer an interesting local menu Could you provide information leaflets that are available at the Tourist Office re Montreil in reception?     Breakfast excellent All staff apart from barman very polite and helpful Rooms were bright cheeful and clean

    We did not use the restaurant as the menu was dull and uninspiring when compared to other restaurants in Montreil. Bar drinks to expensive two sets of drinks 28 Euros. Barman was not very attentive and ignored customers prefering to talk to one French customer and several tables were dirty and not cleared.

    Good value for money in excellent location; if breakfast is included in rate it is excellent value; the barman in the evenings is excellent - expert, friendly and generous! Eat at Le Caveau, off the market square, a friendly brasserie that attracts many locals.

    None really. Value for money is a key factor though and you would want breakfast included.

    Joli hôtel avec un service correct.

    Chambre executive double pas à la hauteur de la prestation attendue. Nous avons eu une chambre familiale pour nous et notre fils, franchement banal et pas à la hauteur. Nous avions déjà séjourné dans cet hôtel et la prestation avait été d'une meilleure qualité mais nous étions dans une mini-suite.

    "Would have prefered to have some tea making facilities in room. Other couples in the group had carpet fitters working outside the room and the smell of glue was quite strong at times. However the quality of the hotel was excellent and the other couples were also more than satisfied with the hotel." (107130108)

    Excelent hotel value for package price. Level of refurbishment was excellent and hotel finish and staff were excellent also.

    Very friendly staff. Efficient check-in and excellent assistance with questions. Large room and bathroom. Had a strong French flavour, even though obviously geared to business. Very good location and easy to access.

    Restaurant was full! Car park @ 10Euros, though parking was available on street.
