    "Too expensive ofr the quality of stay. An old hotel with basic facilities. No nice little touches. If the cost had been two thirds of what we paid that would still have been only fair for what was on offer." (108114842)

    Efficient staff but no real friendliness or warm welcome. New paint job on eterior of hotel.

    The staff were very business like and formal to the point that the guest feels like an inconvenience to them. Decor is very old and basic. Only one small bar of soap in bathroom. Smallest TV in the world. Thin walls and door meant noisy.

    "Generally we were very pleased with our experience.Victoria needs a helper to be onsite when she is out in the evenings.The restaurant/pub almost next door is a big plus. Parking can be a problem especially when the pub has a lot of customers.Victoria is a very good hostess with nice breezy Kiwi personality." (97053952)

    Nice room with view.Excellent breakfasts.

    Lack of adequate heating at night and early morning. Would have paid a supplement but space heater provided what we needed. Thanks!

    No heating on chilly nights. The dressing table mirror wouldnt stay up for ladies to use for make up and doing their hair. Other guests had same problem

    "We would certainly recommend this hotel to friends. The owner works hard and pays attention to detail, we were made to feel very welcome and were not surprised to hear that people visit year after year. Jersey in October was tranquil and peaceful. The War tunnels were improved from our last visit 7years ago, an excursion not to be missed." (3304924412)

    Rooms were clean and service was efficient. We had adjoining room facility as a family and were very pleased with this. Dining was very good - food was quickly served and menu range for breakfast and dinner provided very good value for money.

    Car park could be improved with markings to increase capacity. Due to the popularity of the hotel parking can be a problem when returning late at night.

    From the moment we arrived we were greeted very warmly by the manager who immediatly offered us a superior room at no extra cost.The breakfast was excellent with a multi choice of food and drink. The staff were very efficient and polite a credit to the hotel.What we cannot understand is why it only a 2 star.

    "The hotel manager was very helpful indeed and knew how to run this hotel in a way, where things seem to flow without any distress to the guests at all. The food was a very good selection with good value for money. Service was good and we were well looked after all the time. no rush from the cleaning staff to vacate the room.     "We enjoyed our stay at the Westfield, whilst away from the beaches this made no difference as Jersey is such a small island, though as a result most people were half board which was a shame as they missed out on some of the excellent restaurants in Jersey. Don't worry about the parking, just leave your key at reception if you block anyone in." (3305154602)

    "Very well run and friendly hotel, where many of the guests return each year. Not suitable for anyone looking for a lively night life as in a quiet location where a car is essential.     "As the previous reviewer said, don't be put off by the two-star status. I would recommend hiring a car because the hotel is in a rural location but relatively speaking to England and Wales, rural in Jersey means being 6 miles from St Hellier, which is hardly an inconvenience." (3304337274)

    No remote for the TV but that really is a minor quibble.

    Shower stall very small and uncomfortable, Lumpy Pillows on bed. Stairs to upper floor narrow and not suitable for slightly disabled.

    The hotel was easy to find with good directions given. The staff were very helpful and the food was excellent. The room was on the ground floor, large and airy.

    The only minor quibble, not really a dislike was the slight problem with parking, but if you left your keys with the management, they could shuffle cars around and get everyone in.

    The efficient and trouble-free way in which it was run. The happy, friendly staff and the overall standard of accommodation.

    When the hotel is very busy I for see problems with parking, but hey, what busy hotel wouldn't!

    It was clean and had a reasonable view.The room was cleaned every day which has not always happened in my limited experience.

    As someone who doesn't drive the hotel was the only place to be at night with only the bar avaliable.Not a problem in summer but with dark nights it could be.
