    "correct. mais heureusement que nous avions une personnel au bar pour nous traduire les termes spécifiques et régionales des menus; la personne à l'accueil qui parlait français n'étant pas souvent là à ce moment.ceci nous a quand même gêné. " (108481831)

    restauration, chambre, hygiène.

    le personnel de restauration (sauf bar) ne connaissant aucun mot de français, mais surtout, les menus pas traduits en français quand un couple de touristes français réserve pour 1 semaine.

    "Good breakfast. Dinner service appeared a little rushed, but otherwise fine. Problem ordering wine as no one wanted to take the order. Indoor pool smaller than expected." (97626085)

    UK hotels don't inspire, perhaps spent too long in hotels in south-east Asia. Nothing compares favourably.

    Room situated over area staff congregate for smoke periods and where dustbins were emptied and picked up, therefore very noisy evenings and mornings.

    Conveniently located hotel offering a good range of facilities including a mini gym, steam room, indoor and outdoor pools. The staff were unobtrusive, efficient and helpful.

    The roadside location inevitably results in some traffic noise filtering into bedrooms, but probably no worse than anywhere else and it might help supplement your alarm clock!

    Clean reasonably comfortable.

    It was a bit noisy from time to time you could hear the tv of residents nxt dr as well as snoring!! The traffic outside on Mon morning was quite loud and disruptive.

    "The room was not the best it needed tidying up and it also had a window in the shower that over looked the main road. menu was not to my taste so ate in town but that let me see the town.I would recommend this hotel if the rooms were slightly better." (99841612)

    "The hotel was situated further from the centre of ST.Helier than the map provided by the hotels website implied. Having said that, the location is still within 15 minutes walk to the hub known as 'King Street'. Excellent staff service and a well presented hotel provided us with a comfortable stay.     Quiet and comfortable and an exellent breakfast complemented by the impeccable service by the professional staff

    Early in the season but the outside pool was neglected and very uninviting even if the weather had been good

    "Too far from sea front at 1 mile. Nightmare to find in St Helier's amazing one-way system - if coming by car try not to miss it on first approach as it amy take you hours to find it again. Good for swimming with two pools. Most staff very pleasant and efficient." (3304759030)

    TWo Swimming pools inside and out were good and clean

    About a mile from the seafront. Receptionist not very friendly - felt as if we were considered lucky to be there. Local area frowsy. Vety noisy passing traffic and drunks at night. No air cond. but not expetced. Early checkout time (10am). Dinner menu was extremely limited indeed (4 items inc veg option which was on old slice of old vegetables)

    Good position and nice suroundings

    Road noise and noise from kitchen staff below the room. Strange arrangement with the bathroom door, would of been better if it had been converted into a sliding door.

    "As a keen runner, there was no running machine in the Gymnasium and as such a disapointment. With the amount of mature people visiting the Hotel this facility would be a great advantage." (3304572805)

    The room looked tired and could do with a makeover. The smell of tobacco smoke from other rooms put a damper on things especially for us being Non - Smokers.

    The staff at the hotel made you really feel at home . It is ideally situated for a leisurly walk to the centre of St Hellier

    "In need of a refurb . Looks tired . Most popular with elderly & appeared well equipped to cater for the disabled , both of which made up the biggest proportion of guests . Staff are in the main friendly & helpful but one or two were inclined to discuss disputes between themselves & on occassions involved guests. Evening dinner looked and tasted like the dishes were made in advance on the plate and kept warm until an order came in .One extremely shocking duo fish dish one evening - duo of salmon & something else was served as slithers the size of anchovies!I was not aware Salmon was in short supply . The whole fish must have serviced the hotel kitchen for the week ! That said parking was excellent so overall it was a fine and at the internet special rate was a fair price with the bonus of pool indoor & outside . Would recommend this hotel to selected people ."     Well proportioned room. Excellent sized bed( King?)

    Noise- from both heavy footed & unconsiderate guests above ,as well as traffic from a busy road in peak hour traffic.

    Friendly staff, good food and leisure facilities.

    Bedroom walls are thin and would benefit from soundproofing. Also the beds and pillows were a bit hard for my liking.

    "I really cannot say much to this as everything I needed to know was there in the information, the only thing is perhaps the hotel should change their taxi people, as it cost us £11.00 to pick our taxi at the airport, but the one the hotel got for us cost us £18.50 to the airport and it took 12 mins to get there, I feel like I was ripped off there."     The hotel was lovely and clean and the staff where superb could not do enough for you.The food was also very good.

    Would have the tv a little lower down, and perhaps a little larger, the outside pool needs to be heated as it was very cold, also would like to see a little more entertainment as it was very quiet after we had had dinner.Having said that I would certainly go back again as the good points out do the bad points.

    "The best asset of the Monteray Hotel is the staff. They are helpful and polite at all times. The restaurant staff offer outstanding levels of service. This hotel is situated in a convenient location on the outskirts of St Helier where parking is available unike theose in the cente of St Helier. It is only a 15 minute walk to the centre." (2055774)

    Rooms are well fitted with everything you could require

    Rooms facing the ring road need to be triple glazed and have air conditioning fitted

    Loved it, never been to such a friendly hotel, the staff were brilliant aswell, will come again and bring the children. While I was there I felt unwell for a day and the girl on reception took time to camoe and ask me how I was feeling the next day, thats what I call very good customer care so well done Tracy... have already recommended the hotel to friends............

    None all very good.....although I've noticed that you don't do family rooms and when you have 2 children two rooms will be needed, where as a family one would be better.

    The use of the pool and gym was great.

    The only problem was my room had a very old brown door and all other rooms had nice new white doors,not major but didn't look very nice.

    the only bad point was the mattresses. you could feel every spring, uncomfortable, change them.

    "Overall, this was an enjoyable stay, with no major problems,however, I would like greater control over our room temperature. we felt cold at times because the radiators were turned off during certain times. If I were the manager, I would be very concerned at the obvious absence of non smokers in the bar unable to enjoy a drink without inhaling a polluted atmosphere." (1419801)

    The hotel bar was a smoke den - dreadful, went to alternative hotel on the evening.
