    large room - comfortable beds.. Good space for 2 adults and 1 child.. Superior room gave us a necessary sitting area. friendly helpful staff

    decor poor - out of date in rooms and corridors and some mildew in the bathroom.

    "Saw quite a lot in Four days, still plenty more to see, some attractions were not open which for 6th April was surprising, still will time my next visit to see the rest. No Car hire available from Douglas, Welcome centre suggested I travel to Airport to book one, settled on a 3 day travel ticket forBuses, trains, Trams which enabled me to get about and at £28 was a lot cheaper than car Hire" (107378149)

    Customer Service and friendliness relaxed atmosphere. Excellent food and choice, good meal time choices. Cosy little bar.

    Directions to Hotel not adequate for anybody walking from Ferry to Hotel, due to absence of Street signs in Douglas, perhaps turn left just before Hilton Hotel would have helped?

    friendly helpful staff,chamber maids quick .and thorough.large comfortable room,piping hot water,very clean white towells,extremely comfy bed.(no sagging in the middle),lovely and warm with the heating on.

    My only small criticism would be that the WiFi did not reach my room so had to connect in the lobby area.

    Staff are friendly, food good

    Cracked sink and cracked floor tiles. Passages norrow and artex (icing) finish is very dated. Noise from from hotel area below.

    "I was very pleased, and would not hesitate to stay here again. I felt that compared to other properties and prices I saw, I got good value for the money. (The only reason I didn't check "excellent" is because I thought the Isle of Man was expensive overall.)" (108076996)

    Good price compared to comparable properties. Rooms large, clean, and comfortable. Adequate breakfast included, not lavish but more than enough to get you ready for the day's activities.

    While the hotel is only 50 meters away from the promenade and the ocean (the ocean is visible from some rooms), it is at the north end of the promenade. It's a nice area, but the main bus station and the steam train station is at the south end, about 1.25 miles away. If you are going to be taking a bus or the steam train to other destinations on the island, you might prefer a property farther south. Walking 1.25 miles along the promenade is pleasant, but can get a bit tiring. However, if this is not an issue, then this is a fine hotel, and it's close to departure point for the electric train that travels north. It's also quite close to the Hilton, for what that's worth.

    Buffet breakfast - although it was cooked well it would be nice to have the breakfast cooked to order and be served like in the old days

    "The only downside to our stay was that we were disturbed by people talking outside, below our bedroom window in the early hours! I am not sure if it was because they were stood smoking outside the front door of the hotel, which some people did whilst we were staying there!" (97211829)

    "Overall, if they removed the swirly artex from the walls of the corridors, the hotel would probably be my 1st choice hotel on the Isle of Man.     the rooms are clean, and our room was spacious with all facilities in good order.

    Our only observation is that whilst a wood strip floor has the benefit of easy cleaning, you can hear those walking in the room above more clearly. But I would rather that than the more traditional spotty stained carpet!

    "When I booked this hotel the information that I printed out said there was an airport shuttle. In fact there wasn't. I think it would be VERY useful if there was some sort of service run by the hotel (maybe shared with other hotels) for guests to get back and forth to the airport at a reasonable cost." (97074586)

    "This feels like a cheap hotel and that didn't come across in the rating. I stay at similarly priced accommodation and it is a much higher standard. The hotel is up a back street and not on the promenade" (97112454)

    The whole experience is depressing with narrow artexed corridors and stark rooms. The rooms have poor quality mattresses and bedding and the furniture is ready for the tip. The bathroom, although clean, was nasty with plastic imitation tiles - my colleague had contrasting pink toilet seat on an avocado toilet - nice. No broadband
