    "A nice pleasant hotel, well located. The room was large with a good standard of decore. Staff were helpful." (108196764)

    Nice room, Good bar with very good well priced bar menu.Hotel was well presented and clean.

    Breakfast on the final day of my stay was very poor everything was cold inculding the "burnt" scrambled eggs, left 80 % of my breakfast, very poor.

    Staff helpful and friendly

    Did not appreciate having to carry my suitcase up a flight of stairs. A lift would have been appreciated

    "As soon as we arrived we were courteously greeted and shown to our room by the Hotel Porter. Our room was attractive, with a very large en-suite which was spotlessly clean. The Restaurant was very well run; we were always well greeted and there was definitely an adequate number of staff in attendance. Meals were presented well and were of a consistently high standard. The ambience of the Restaurant was pleasing, as was all of the Hotel The Reception staff were efficient, kind and helpful. The Hotel Lounge Bar was attractively furnished and the meals offered were good. The location of the Hotel was such that the walk into town was not a long one; it was ideally placed in my opinion. There would be no question of my not returning to this extremely well run Hotel at my earliest convenience!" (99415739)

    "The food served was first class, the staff helpful, in the bar area you were made to feel very welcome, with local people using it adding to the flavour. The hotel is idelly suited to walking into St Hellier, a level 10 minute walk, a first classs hotel for visiting Jersey." (99943328)

    "Would not use this hotel again, staff appeaared not to be at all happy as smiling did not seem to come into the job description. Food disappointing from the bar, Sunday Roast worst meal I have ever had (Cold and sparse." (99074149)

    The shower was in the bath and would only spray on the wall, it was also set too high on the wall for adjustment if that was at all possible. The hand basin was in another part of the room where the tea making facilities were,so hands could not be washed immediately after using the toilet. The bar had airconditioning but the rest of the hotel including the room was uncomfortably hot.

    "The Royal Hotel St Helier is in a good location within an easy walk of the shops, restaurants and bus station but don't expect any views. The hotel was clean,staff very friendly and helpful, the breakfast was excellent and we enjoyed the bar food and the food in Season's Restaurant. The only downside was the size of our room which was very small." (99752280)

    "The hotel is conveniently located for the business district of St. Helier. Free wireless internet access is available, and very much appreciated. The staff are very helpful and attentive. The complimentary continental breakfast is served in a very attractive conservatory. Overall the Royal Hotel offers outstanding value for money, and is very comfortable." (99248431)

    The hotel has a lot of character and charm, and offers a relaxing environment at the end of a busy day. The bathroom was well appointed, and a full sized tub was most welcome!

    There was nowhere to sit and work comfortably in the room, and there was no convenient power outlet for my computer.

    "We have stayed at this hotel on numerous occasions,but our last visit which was ten years ago was very disappointing,the room we had was too small,more suited to single occupancy, and the en-suite facilities rather resembled a cupboard. But on returning ten years later we were pleasantly surprised, the hotel has being completely refurbished, the rooms spotlessly clean and really well stocked with all the usual toiletries,tea and coffee making facilities. Every member of staff being very helpful,friendly and efficient showing that your stay with them was important. No hesitation in returning once more." (99959681)

    Very convenient for the town, shops and the beach.

    The non smoking bar, although the hotel did offer a small lounge for smokers.

    "The four days we spent at the hotal were quiet and very relaxing, which was just what we were lokking for.The relatively small cost to upgrade to a four poster bedroom was well worth especially when,to our great surprise,we found it came with a huge 2/3 person sized bath!The centre of town with shops,bars,restaurant etc was only a short walk away.The staff were great and the breakfast was excellent.The only minor problem was the relatively small car park although the nearby public car park was fine."     "The hotel got in touch with me before we arrived asking our approximate arrival time and said the room would be available to us on check in,which was appreciated, as we arrived just after 12.30 and were able to unpack our things and go into town to explore straight away rather than having to wait for the usual 2.00pm check-in times of most hotels. We would have liked some door hangers in the bathroom as there was nothing to hang things on and an extra hand towel for the sink and again somewhere to hang it, would have been useful. A full length mirror would have been helpful, as the mirror supplied on the dressing table was on the small side. Good selection of brochures available on Jersey's tourist spots and local bus timetables and maps." (3304969441)

    The hotel offered main restaurant service or choice of eating in the bar. A good choice at breakfast was on offer. Hotel near shops and public transport.

    The bedroom was a bit on the small side and not much room to move around in. The bathroom, however, was a good size.

    The hotel is well placed for the centre of St Helier. The hotel staff were very efficient and helpful, especially when ordering taxis for us, arranging car hire and excursion to Elizabeth castle. The hotel website was very acurate.

    We requested 2 double rooms for ourselves and another couple, reasonably close by and of same standard, however, our initial room was very small compared to our friends but after my husband commented on this to the reception staff, a larger and much nicer room was found for us(one that is used for the photo gallery on the website). The breakfasts could be more varied - it was the same every day.
