    Fittings in bathroom looked a bit tired - damage to wood, etc. Hot water ran out quite early one night!

    "In spite of bad points noted the stay was adequate for our purposes. However, what would have been excellent value for the night in the hotel was let down by the lack of hot water and the breakfast (which was £6.50 p.p.for what should be described as light English rather than 'continental'). Would return next year to see if the building work was finished and standards had improved." (108116024)

    lovely big room - twin with one double and one single bed friendly staff good amount of parking - within a 5/10 min car journey of Reading centre

    No hot water - tepid at best so we were unable to bathe or shower comfortably Outside generally unkempt - seemed to be building / remedial work going on to the side and back of hotel (perhps this was why the charges were reasonable? This had not been mentioned on the website) Check-in was supposed to be open from 11am but when we arrived at 1.30pm the hotel was deserted and locked.

    "Wouldn't stay with you and i would strongly recommend anyone else to stay at another hotel as the facilities were appalling and it was honderously overpriced. Premierinn offer a better service for a third of the price" (107794624)

    no hot water, shower was rubbish, staff were more interested in watching tv. No stock on the bar

    The hotel allowed us to check-in early as we were attending the Reading Festival.

    We were put in a smoking room, with cigarette burns on some of the furniture. However, the room didn't smell of smoke.

    Excellent breakfast, very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent location 15-20 mins walk from centre of town

    The window in our room was locked open and draughty. We asked for it to be closed and when this proved difficult, we were moved into another equally good room straight away. Very helpful staff

    Modern romm in a modern hotel.

    Room has no ambience(no pictures,literature, instructions etc) No trouser press in the room, bath hadn't been cleaned and no bottles of soap. breakfast staff could not cope with diners, everything ran out: milk,cereals,tea,coffee and tables were not cleared. (lack of staff?)

    This is a modern bright hotel with a number of function and conference rooms. This appears to be its main source of business providing facilities for residential training course for companies during the working week. There were very few people staying in the hotel over the weekend.

    Strong smell of stale smoke in non-smoking room. Poor shower in bathroom and inadequate travel of shower curtain. Extractor fan extremely noisey. Buffet breakfast cold because of poor warming equipment.

    Poor soundproofing of rooms Noise from other guests during night knocking on rooms and having loud conversations in rooms and corridor in early hours. No hot water in taps and plug unable to be released from sink

    Clean , tidy , good staff

    Rooms although clean and tidy are souless and have no pictures on walls etc. I found the bar / restaurant to have good food and service, but again no atmosphere. COnsequently just ait and left.

    Clean and modern + we could take our small dog with no extra charge - this is a deciding factor in our choice of hotel

    The weather was unusually warm which made the room stuffy. If we had the window wide open we were disturbed by the noise of heavy traffic outside as there was no air conditioning.

    Breakfast adequate and linens were clean and plentiful

    Rooms were not allocated correctly and we had to change a number of times. Poor facilities in rooms -i.e. doors failing to lock, radiators which were malfunctioning.

    Leaking pipe in bathroom, flooding floor. Very low hot water pressure. Curtains too small for windows. Distorted sound on TV. No meal available on Sunday night.

    The breakfast was good

    The Hotel whilst appearing to be Modern had lots of parts that let it down. Starting with the car park, the block paving is uneven in places making it dangerous. Some of the basic facilities in the room didn't work, i.e.plug in bath didn't work properly, no remote control.

    Modern, clean hotel. Good size room (I was given a family room).

    Its a little further out from Reading Centre than I realised. The reception staff on the phone were very poor at offering directions when I called.

    Although tidy the rooms/bathroom was dirty. The tea making facilities was dirty and unhygienic.
