  "We had a great time in Killarney and the Lake Hotel was the first place we stayed." (99162771)

  Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was included and was fantastic along with the great view from the restaurant.

  Shower in tub was too small (narrow)

  "I could honestly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Killarney/county Kerry area. The room we had was a standard 3 star hotel room but spacious enough for three persons, the breakfast buffet was excellent and the hotel was very tidy and well kept. I would say that overall the Lake Hotel is not far from 4 star category. An excellent address." (3305118478)

  The Lake Hotel has an excellent very calm location right next to the Killarney lake and we had a spacious lake view room with a private terrace. The hotel was easy to find and it had a good car park.

  "The hotel is situated in the most beautiful setting looking over the lake which is lit up at night. room was very spacious and well equiped , lovely decor. the hotel has new and old features with good parking and many facilities , choice of bistro or restaurant, best to pre book the day. excellent choice of breakfast and all meals were well cooked and very large! we had a lovely stay and would certainly go again."   "We had an overall favorable experience staying at this hotel. The hotel is currently adding a new wing--lots of construction going on. For my boys, this was a benefit (they loved all the digging, hammering, etc.) but for others this might not be the greatest thing." (3304445189)

  "Location, service from the staff and facilites all excellent. The hot tub sauna and steam rooms were a real treat to be able to use at the end of a day touring around and enabled me to feel rested before dinner." (3304216151)

  "Very clean hotel with seom good staff. When booking get a room with a view, also avoid rooms adjacent to the new building as they start work at 8am!" (3304389562)

  A very clean hotel with great views from the rooms at the rear of the hotel. The food was very good.

  When booking tell people that the rooms at the front do not have a view of the lake. Review your table waiting staff, the non national we had was excellent as was one of the older Irish nationals. There was a number of Irish national waiting staff that were poor and did everything to avoid serving or helping us- they spent their time at the counter of the dining area. We also asked for tea and coffee after our meal but were told it would be served outside however no one came to us and we ended up going to the bar for a drink.

  "really enjoyed the stay it was exactly what i was looking for and the photo on the web gave the exact idea of setting and what to expect" (2737971)

  perfect setting and the spa facilities, particularly outdoor hot tub and the local herd of deer that visited were a treat

  abandon the theme room idea.... we changed rooms from one of these
