    Lovely comfortable bed with excellent linen and good pillows. We visited for the Jazz Festival. Breakfast delicious. Many thanks for the friendly service.

    The food was excellent. The bathroom and roomsize and facilities of appeared to be of a high standard.

    Beds were rock hard. Noise from traffic over head meant little sleep. We did not feel welcome.

    It was an excellent family room and it met our needs precisely. Very nice to have wireless internet access in the room as well. Breakfast was excellent.

    On the website you only offer a choice of one or two adults in a room, which made it hard to book a family room for three adults. But that is your website not the Inn on the Well.

    Room is in a pub car park. Room door is non-soumdproof and leads straight to outside world. So all pub noises-outside smokers chatter-was our soundtrack for the evening. Double bed very narrow and mattress far too soft. When I asked for a different room was told all other rooms were taken yet the 'vacancies' sign was displayed and the internet was willing to let me book another room for that night.

    Friendly proprietor, very nice pub with good food and good size rooms. Within good striking distance of Marlborough and Avebury.

    None spring to mind. Could find nothing in the village for small children (i.e. playground) but this is not a criticism of the accomodation!

    The Inn has an atmosphere of its own that grows on one over time. I enjoyed the stay in spite of the fact that my ratings tend to be from poor to fair. There's just something about the place that we enjoyed. I think the real advantaqge of the Inn is the atmostphere in the Pub during the evenings and its location - it is near to Bath, Oxford, Heathrow, Stonhenge etc. Our hosts were freindly and accommodating.

    On arrival after an eight hour drive we were met with the information that we did not have a booking and that the Inn was full - this was daunting - the booking was eventually found and we were shown into two rooms - the one looked really nice, the other rather uncomforatable with limited guest bathroom packs - this is by comparison with other Inns we had stayed at. I would say that the accommodation was adequate with little effort made towards making guests feel really welcome.

    "We were very satisfied with our choice of accomodation. The owners were very hospitable & obliging, the staff very friendly and helpful. Our room was well equipped with everything necessary for a short stay. There was nothing that would have made us think differently about our booking. The only addition that would have been useful to us was to have known about possible local walks, villages to visit and churches within the area to attend or just visit. We were given information about bigger towns & cities but not the immediate area." (97850501)

    The accomodation was wonderful, very cosy and welcoming. there was everything necessary for a short stay e.g. tea making facilities, extra heating, clean towels and an excellent breakfast.

    There was nothing really to dislike.

    "Very easy to find, well signposted. Not a lot of parking although a quiet village location means no worries about leaving car out on road at all.great down to earth environment made us feel welcome not 'tourists'!" (97722351)

    "This is a delightful 'olde world' pub with a theme (the well).It is family run by a friendly hard working couple who made us feel at home from the start.The food from a well balanced menu was well cooked and satisfying.We had arranged to meet friends there for Sunday Lunch and afterwards all 10 of us had enjoyed it so much that we are considering the same venus for next year.     "I enjoyed our few days at the hotel It was warm both physically and the general atmosphere. All staff were welcoming and relaxed. This allowed us to feel comfortable and take advantage of our short stay." (97530778)

    Quiet and easily accessible for my husband who has limited mobility.

    In the bathroom my husband would have found having a shower less difficult if there had been a couple of bars in place on the wall. This may well be a problem for other elderly people.

    Clean, affordable and comfortable. Pets also allowed.

    Bed was a little hard and as it was on a laminated floor it moved about when sitting up in bed and leaning on headboard. Traffic was a little noisy because it was warm enough to have the windows open

    Clean and spacious

    Bed on wheels with no coasters so we slid across the room whenever we leant against the headboard! No sound proofing - could hear every sound outside our room (next to the pub kitchen). Steak was very tough and overcooked - no one even asked if it was ok. One member of staff had barely any English at all.

    "The room was very comfortable and had plenty of space. Standard of cleanliness was good. Good breakfast and evening meal served. Although close to a main road which passes behind the hotel, there was minimal traffic noise. The only downside was the fact that the owners dog and cat were allowed in the dining area, and the cat was constantly using the chairs even when dining was taking place." (99935084)

    The fact that it had en suite facilities and the room was large enough to move around in and not feel confined.

    "I was travelling with my elderly mother and this was exactly what we needed. Directions were clear, and even on a dark, rainy evening we found the place easily. Able to park right outside our motel-style room which was spacious, clean and comfortable with tea/coffee tray provided. The shower was easy to work (as was the TV), the bath was a fair size and ducks were provided! Friendly atmostphere in the pub/restaurant where we ate. My mother befriended the resident dog and the owner offered helpful advice on our onward journey." (99284521)

    Lovely cosy restaurant and bar. Good size bedroom with all facilities

    bed on very good castors!!! Impossible to sit up in bed without bed moving across the room
