    The building itself and village location are worth the trip Very personalised service quite intimate but not intimidating or overbearing

    We were put off from trying it in the past by its apparently remote location - but its actually very good - especially for touring round a great part of rural France. Its easy to fisn and not that far from StOmer.

Shortly after we booked on line through Active Hotels, the owners of the hotel sent a welcome email and asked if we would like to book dinner. We ate dinner in the hotel and found the choice of food excellent and the cooking delicious. Highly recommended." (108842046)

    A very nice hotel with an excellent restaurant, comfortable room, friendly staff and wi fi too.

    The staff were really friendly and made a point of involving the children. The food was excellent. The rooms were very comfortable

    The only criticism would be that the shampoo shower jel etc in the rooms could have been better quality

    It is a lovely house with a lovely garden and terrace where other guests were having afternoon tea and relaxing.Very quiet so a good nights sleep is guaranteed.The food is excellent and we were made to feel very welcome by everybody.

    Welcome was exceptionally warm and helpful. Room was fairly standard for France but was clean and well presented. Dinner was good, but slightly overpriced.

    Nice Village area, warm welcome, excellent food and staff were very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay and would return, also will recommend this to friends and work colleagues.

    It was sad to see that the outside pond to the hotel was not as in the picture, otherwise I have no complaints at all - had a lovely time.

    The hotel was beautifully presented and the restaurant was a delight the food was the best part of the experience.

    We could find very little to come up with as a bad point, but we did consider that the overall price was a little excessive.

    Very friendly staff who made us and our dog feel welcome. Excellent wine list. We sadly missed dinner time, but will try this another time. Charming, country style hotel with excellent service. Very good beds. Quiet.

    One shutter did not work, but we used curtains instead. Bathroom had body powder on surfaces and floor, but the remainder was very clean.

    "Disapointed with the lack of 'extra's' available at the hotel when you pay extra for a more superior room. The hotel was too far from Calais and Eurotunnel which is another reason we won't be staying there again. Ideal for a weekend break, nice and quiet and comfortable! " (108027525)

    Nice large room (we booked a superior room) nice spacious bathroom with very good shower. Room was warm and bed comfortable

    Don't understand that the hotel charges an extra 5 Euro for a tray of tea in a superior room, they don't have coffee portions but were able to provide some solubable coffee in a tub. No biscuits provided either. We have stayed in B&B and paid more for the room and it included coffee and tea making facilities, with biscuits and a tray with home made cake served on arrival: more welcoming than the Saint Louis. We didn't want to pay 18 Euro's for two slices of toast with tea, which is the minimum charge for breakfast so we had breakfast at Eurotunnel for 5 Euro
