    decor including art work cleanliness breakfast service use of nearby gym facilities

    atmosphere souless, communal areas not conducive to hanging out position on main road executive upgrade not worth the money- don't bother

    "Check in was effortless, after 10 mins the rceeptionist called us to enwure we were happy with our room and offered us a coplimentry hot drink - wow! Breakfast was great with a wide variety of pastries, cerials, fruit and hot food! Barman was great showing off his cocktail making skills. Overall a lovely chic arty hotel." (107543296)

    I found the staff particularly friendly, coureous and helpful.

    Some of the carpets seemed a little worn. The coffee and tea making facilities are hidden from view in a wardrobe. The heating was a little inadequate.

    Room itself was great. Enjoyed the truffles and bathrobe.

    Costs for catering in the meeting room was ridiculously expensive. Breakfast was expensive. There was no control of the event that was happning in the hotel on the same night and this caused colleagues lack of sleep due to parties in hotel rooms. security was called several times but this noise was not resolved. As we were in the hotel for business reasons, this was not great.

    The poor attitude of one particular staff member infuriated me. I will not be staying at the hotel again.

    Fantastic hotel. One of the best we have stayed in. Customer services seems to be their priority.

    Situated in a very good location and even though next to a busy main road this was not heard from the room given.

    no moisturing lotion - that's all a great room for a great price, just wished i had booked it the day before to get a better discount from the site.

    "Getting hold of room service was a bit of a chore, but it was Easter Sunday, and reception staff sorted it very quickly for me :) Beales is a nice hotel. Contemporary, monochromatic colours and muted tones, with plenty of chrome. You'd think it would seem a little colourless and cold, but it's actually quite calming and comfy too. Beds are also good - spacious and comfortable." (97662671)

    Friendly staff, great lighting, quiet.

    Room didn't seem very well hoovered! Tile starting to come away in toilet... nothing spoiling, just something we noticed :)

    "We had a wonderful relaxed stay at this hotel. It is practically brand new, is well furnished and extremely well kept. We decided to stay in and had drinks in the main bar followed by dinner in the restaurant. Although there was no draught beer available in the bar which was dissappointing, we had a fantastic experience in the restaurant which was very good value for money. The food was excellent and we couldn't fault the service in any way - very attentive but discreet at the same time. We would definately return to this hotel." (97789793)

    Clean, modern rooms, relaxed atmosphere

    Room quite hot (although not unbearably so) didn't appear to be any air conditioning/ temperature control system, only a desk fan. Check-in could have been friendlier

    "I was very impressed with this hotel. Very good quality facilities and very friendly and helpful staff. I stayed just before Christmas and although there were a number of parties being held in the banqueting rooms we were not disturbed at all. I would definately recommend." (97659223)

    Good quality modern facilities

    The only issue was that the plumbing was a little noisy - you could hear continual running water from the radiator.

    "The hotel was everything I was hoping for, very modern, with a lovely reception area to greet you, along with the very friendly and helpful staff. The only downside, was the lack of things to do in the area, although the hotel being opposite what I could see as the only attraction in Hatfield (The Galleria), was a great advantage." (97404565)

    "The hotel was excellent and great value for money. The rooms were clean, fresh and modern and the hotel generally had a very stylish atmosphere about it. The hotel bar was very intimate and cosy and the location of the hotel was excellent. Just across the road there is a range of restaurants, a cinema and a shopping outlet. Furthermore, had I stayed longer, I would definitely have taken advantage of the free gym pass " (97328470)

    The hotel was exceptional as was the service. The location too was great with amenities just across the road.

    There was nothing to dislike.

    "I stayed at this hotel for one night last year - so I knew what to expect and happy to return as the accommodation is very good. I was not impressed by workmen beneath my window who were cutting concrete pavers to make a new patio - under the circumstances - I don't believe room 33 should have been let out - they started again early Saturday morning after I had a late night with friends. I guess it's a one off event - but the management should have been aware of the unpleasant disruption to their guests and reacted accordingly" (99900352)

    Location. Building work next door. Was not informed of the same at check-in only to be woken up early the next morning by hammering and drills etc. They could have offered us a different room on another side of the hotel which seemed fairly empty. Or even just mentioning that there is stuff going on next door.

    Vert clean, well appointed room. The wine and fruit baskets were a nice touch.

    Hotel was really sophisticated and modern. There is a shopping center close to this hotel.

    "Whilst we were staying in the room and during the night people moving about outside the room did not move about with respect to other guests. At more than one occasion we were awaken by a loud crash outside the door and we felt that at nay moment someone would just walk in on us. Other than that we found the level of service to be excellent and very polite. Although it was our first time in this hotel, the receptionist made us feel as though we were old friends returning."     The overall decor of the hotel was smart, clean and tasteful.

    During the night staff/guests made quite a bit of noise out in the corridor which kept waking us up.
