    The room and hotel were fantastic. I was only sorry I was there on business and didn't have time to appreciate the hotel to it's full benefit.

    Meals were rather expensive which made the bonus of the late booking slightly irrelevant.

    I was booked into a NON-smoking room, but given a smoking room - which is completely unacceptable, as the room stank of smoking. Though the hotel were able to transfer me to a 2-bedroom apartment, this was not to the same quality and not my preferred accommodation. I do not accept that hotels can expect non-smokers to sleep in smokey rooms.

    room was attractive if a little dated.

    Room heating not working, TV not working, Only one towel for a double room. Bathroom door lock didn't work. Paint work in bathroom chipped and peeling.

    The hotel was superb. The rooms, whilst retaining a traditional feel, had all the modern up to date facilites. I loved the location of being in a 'garden'.

    Little bit noisey during the night from what I assume to be a fire door slamming shut each time someone went through

    Good service from staff with a view to providing customer satisfaction, rooms clean and in good working order.

    Room not ready on arrival (had to wait 20 Mins) Although I specified preference for smoking room, the hotel staff had not been aware of that and I had to pay extra to upgrade to a smoking room as the only room avilable was a delux smoking room.

    "The stay was alright but this hotel is very overpriced for outer London at £95 a night plus £14.50 per head for breakfast. The rooms need refurbishing. The restaurant was excellent but stupidly overpriced - bill came to over £80 per head. The bill was inflated with an expensive bottle of wine but the list did not offer suitable cheaper alternatives that represented value. Service in the restaurant was however excellent." (97944078)

    "In all, the Hotel was everthing we remembered from the last time we stayed. The atmosphere is relaxed, informal and cosy. The building has great character and the service is good. Although there is a conservatory as well as the main restaurant to eat in, you are able to enjoy snacks on the sofas around the bar area. My husband was a little disappointed with the flowers he ordered to be sent to our room. They did not represent very good value for money." (97117403)

    We have stayed in this hotel previously (on our Wedding Night) and although we did not stay in one of the special suites this time it was still a nice treat. There is a very relaxed and cosy feel to this hotel. It also has a lovely courtyard to enjoy in warmer weather.

    "Enjoyed the hotel although did not use any facilities ie bar or restuarant. The location was good, the hotel has bundles of character which is the main reason I chose it, rather than a characterless hotel that may have been slightly cheaper. Any of the staff that we dealt with were all extremely helpful - some actually volunteering information even though they were not asked - this is MOST unusual!!" (97172545)

    The setting of the room over looking the garden was lovely, and the hotel itself was very charming.

    Hairdryer broke. I thought the rooms seemed a little dated.

    "The marygreen Manor, was a lovely hotel with spacious rooms some of which are surounded by beautifull gardens.The rooms are clean and modern with tea/coffee making facillites provided,and the fruit bowl was a lovely touch. The only downside that we could see,was the fact we were unable to order cold drinks as part of the night time room service menu,and there was no provision made for that." (99519234)

    Everything we needed; clean and tidy; quiet;

    Needed a thicker quilt or duvet on the bed - I was a bit cold in the night.
