    great mid- point location for access to south and west wales. all the staff were helpful and polite. the breakfasts which were included in our 4 day stay were excellent. the hotel room we stayed in was of adequate size and was cleaned on a daily basis.plenty of car parking space.

    although our hotel room was cleaned daily, the carpet appeared to have a large stain on it which was a little offputting.

    Nice situation in the country. Food was quite good. We were early for breakfast as we had to leave to catch a ferry so caught them on the hop.

    Generally the hotel was a bit tired and in need of some investment. There was a wedding going on so they were busy.

    "For an overnight stay the hotel room was pleasant, very spacious and quiet as we were located in the annexe, you didn't know if there were any other guests staying. It made a pleasant stay not to have been woken up by loud noises from other guests, even the wedding party were courteous and quiet when leaving. My partner & I would stay again. The freshly cooked breakfast was a very pleasant surprise, as it made a change to have be able to eat it hot as opposed to somewhat luke warm off hotplates. Thank you again." (107289877)

    The location was in very pleasant surroundings. Unfortunately the weather wasn't at it's best.

    Vey eager to please staff and very clean. A trouble free stay once the room issue was sorted!

    mixup over rooms - given keys to a room where someone was already in it! sorted out quickly and another room found.

    "A very enjoyable stay, stay were very welcoming and friendly. I had read the negatvie reviews before my stay and after staying there i can see they were totally unjustified as I saw no evidence or reason for any negative comments. The meals, room and service were excellent and the hotel surroundings are breathtaking. Would recommend it to anyone and would most definately stay there again." (97551916)

    Very spacious, clean well equipped room. Staff very friendly and well informed bar meals excellent and lovely decor to the hotel and set in lovely surroundings.

    "The conference facilities I requested were provided and all laid out to specification by the time I arrived on the night before the course. Help was on hand for any query I had. The hotel staff exceeded their call of duty in looking after me and my young son who accompanied me on this occassion. They offered information on local activities for him to choose from. The whole place had a warm, clean and comfortabl feel to it with very friendly staff. Conference lunch was superb - choice of 4 hot buffet dishes, with rice, salad, potatoes and vegetables."     It was warm and comfortable. Continental breakfast was a wide range of fruit, Village Dairy (local) yoghurt, plenty of toast and tea/coffee. Cooked breakfast was offered.

    "We only had breakfasts, but these were both excellent. The setting and surroundings were very pleasant, and as this was our first visit to Wales, we will definitely be returning. Parking was easy, and our car could be overlooked from our room. Overall a very safe conforting environment." (97938527)

    Although there were weddings in progress, the disturbance and noise level was minimal to other guests, and the overall service ie breakfast and bar waiting times were not hindered.

    Excellent food, great staff.

    The fan in the bathroom was broken. This meant that the bathroom smelt slightly musty and there was black mold.

    "it was good, but could have been better. There seemed to be a nearby racetrack with the result that many guests came in cars and then left early in the mornuing revving up their engines quite unnecessarily!" (3305035569)

    The bedroom was good, the food was excellent.

    There was a certain disorganisation about the place. Starting time for dinner delayed by up to twenty minutes before the order was taken.

    "The Hotel was easily the best i have stayed in, i spend many nights in different hotels accross the south of England & Wales and i will be staying here whenever i am in the area again. The Rooms are good, and have all needs covered. The Restaurant offered a wide choice of foods and my meals were excellent, all the staff i had contact with were very helpfull. location is excellent."     "I found our rooms in the hotel to have seen better days and lacked atmosphere.The towels and sheets were clean and the rooms were cleaned to a high standard.There was no fresh fruit at breakfst which is now standard in most hotels these days even with a lower room rate. When I booked the room I failed to ask for a ground floor room for my father who is 91 but very little effort was made to find a solution." (3304502992)

    The sheets and towels were of good quality and spotlessly clean and the rooms were nice and warm.

    window overlooking building site-no nets on window.no chair in room.TV very poor.no help with luggage.The flushing lever to both toilets were faulty.

    "The website states that the rooms are all individually designed - ours was in the annexe and the other rooms appeared to be the same, although our room was clean. As I am asthmatic we asked for a room that had not been smoked in - ours had - and the room next door contained smokers whose smoke could be smelt right down the corridor. On arrival it took a good 10-15 minutes to find someone to check us in and on departure it took about ten to find someone to check us out. The breakfast was cold on the first morning but warm the and quite good the next." (2893241)

    It was quiet. The room was clean although the bedding did smell a little smoky. The evening meal in the restaurant was good.

    Reception desk - it was very difficult to get attention to check in and out and we could not get an answer when ringing down from our room; it could also do with a bit of a face lift! Entrance to the annexe (tatty looking; the seat had no bottom cushion on and the carpets were dirty).

    "As a business traveller it has been very difficult to find a friendly, hotel in west wales. I can say that this hotel fits the bill prefectly either as a romatic break or on a business trip. The food is second to none and so are the staff. If you are like me and sick of being the a little person in a large hotel, this is for you.     "I requested a non smoking room through the on line booking and was told this could not be confirmed until I booked into the hotel. I subsequently telephoned the hotel and my request was efficiently handled with a return call confirming. The stay was very comfortable, service relaxed and friendly. Breakfast was equally satisfying with plenty of choice. I considered it good value for money." (2331811)

    the setting is very pleasant, well off the beaten track but in easy reach of Carmarthen. The decor was fresh and comfortable with attention to detail.

    perhaps some business guests may have need of inter-net connection and other administrative related facilities. I am not sure if these could have been provided but were not evident in the room.

    "The outside of the hotel might look more like a pub restaurant than a hotel BUT the interior is to a high standard, welcoming and comfortable. The service and friedliness of staff is excellent.There are two options for dinning which provides lots of flexibility. The restaurant food is superb, of a very high quality. Good value for money.     "This hotel has very little competition in the area and this shows. The breakfast was cold and you are given stewed tea 3/4 of a cup and not offered the usual pot.I requested peppermint tea which was unavailable (even in a B&B this has always been available)the worst was we were staying for 3 nights and they did not offer to obtain this.I could continue but overall I would not reccommend this hotel unless there is NO alternative.This was our Wedding Anniversary trip and it was a poor experience. I have stayed in very very many hotels and this is surly one of the least pleasant." (2278886)

    The soft furnishings are tatty and need of replacement. The beds had no padding and you could feel the springs.
