    No really bad points but need to mention hotel could have been a little warmer. Was there a problem with the heating?

    The table right outside the hotel entrance was left uncleared with crockery, dirty napkins and cigarette packets from afternoon to late evening. Not only was this unsightly and created a poor first impression but it was a day of wind and gales.

    Very good facilities, nice room and pleasant staff. Evening meal was good.

    Carpet in bedroom very worn to the point of being threadbare in places. Continental breakfast fresh fruit choices a bit limited (just melon and pineapple - no apples, bananas etc)and the breakfast was very expensive for what you got.

    Nice, clean and modern. Breakfast was nice.

    mattress was terrible. It was hard and you could feel and hear springs every time you moved, therefore, had very poor nights sleep.

    did not want a supplement for a pull oput bed and the temp of the room was way way too high despuite the radiotor was off must have been 24 c

    "My sister and I attended a function of over 300 guests for lunch and we were both impressed by the high standard of the meal. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Overall, a very pleasant stay." (107332522)

    Good bar menu although, as a vegetarian, I would have liked to see more choice. Bar and dining room staff very good. Our twin room was comfortable and warm. Lots of hot water.

    Very draughty in the bar area because of automatic doors constantly opening. I would like to see a more friendly smoking area outside with protection from the weather.

    Directions to find the hotel from the M62 were only for those coming from the East; coming from the West the roundabout was the wrong one and first left took you well out of the way/

    "I really liked the hotel ,I consider its strongest asset is the staff their helpfullness, approachability and attention to detail was very evident and when I return this year to see our friends I will be happy to stay in the hotel I only hope they have a room for us." (107982575)

    Staff we so very caring and approachable. nothing was too much to ask of them and the atmosphere was brilliant, the moulin touge party was going really well. Choice at breakfast was of outstanding quality. The staff were polite and well organised. I felt well looked after. It was a joy to sit at a well presented dining table and the hotel felt homely ,welcoming and relaxed

    Efficient and friendly staff made our short stay enjoyable. The breakfast buffet provided everything I would want to eat for breakfast. The swimming pool and leisure facilities were a pleasure to use.

    Good facilities in room ie:trouser press, ironing materials, hair drier. Good choice of food at breakfast and very prompt service. Very pleasant and helpful staff

    Foyer was very cold, but this was due to adverse weather conditions constantly blowing doors open, making it incomfortable to sit there.

    location excellent for access to local transport infrastructure proximity to local amenities and yet superb views over surrounding countryside whilst given near distance to motorway surprisingly you wouldn't know it was there. Sports facilities a healthy option if somewhat restricted by size to accommodate many users

    some of bulbs in room needed replacing - hotel size and location mean it is used a lot for 'events', nights out, tribute bands/ shows etc with non residents so car park can get busy meaning quite a hike to / from car

    it was a good sized room.

    they didnt have our booking even when we quoted reference number so we were lucky they had a vacancy.breakfast could have been warmer and the plates were cold. the kettle didnt work but they did replace it when we told them.

    Great value for money. Excellent facilities and friendly staff

    The bar area is in an open foyer along with reception. This got cold due to the automatic doors constantly being kept open by the smokers standing just outside it!

    "The room was ok but very basic, the food was awful, and service wasn't great, hotel looks nice from outside, but very deceiving inside, I would strongly recommend the star rate be revisisted." (97717570)

    For a 4 star hotel I thought it was the worst I've ever stayed in, we ordered breakfast in the room, which was cold and dried up,even the second attempt at delivering the food, food was only just warm, hotel only refunded delivery charge of £3.50, didn't seem bothered at all

    Reception is bright and bar available. Staff were prepared to help

    The coffee in the room. The corridor had a smell to it, if it was the bedroom I would have said it had been a smoking room.

    Clean, good that had iron , TV , tea and coffee making facilities

    Poor outlook, Heating wasn't working - impossible to sleep well when cold. Poor security , no safe.
