    gezellig hotel met vriendelijk personeel, dat zich goed verstaanbaar kan maken in het Engels; Gehandicapte kamer goed voorzien

    Ontbijt zou wat uitgebreider kunnen In de kamer misten wij een toilettafel met spiegel

    "didn't realise what a pretty town this is, there is an excellent chinese opposite which was recommended by the hotel reception. all staff where friendly and helpful, the room was great but they are seperate from the main hotel." (108694095)

    fantastic room, very large and newly decorated. fab shower.

    poor breakfast but reflected in price. monday is market day just outside the front door, our car got blocked in in the carpark and we had to drive the wrong way down a oneway street to get out.

    Good location less than 2 hours from Calais, free parking, very pleasant staff. We stayed in room recently renovated to high standard. 10% discount voucher for good restaurant in town square. Large Saturday market.

    No bad points. Just two minor things - no tea/coffee making facilities (though same as most continental hotels) and only one bedside reading light.

    The room was lovely with a comfortable bed and a fantastic shower. My fiance liked the shutters on the window!

    No coffee facilities in the room.

    Large room. Good facilities. Near to Town centre, and restaurants. On site parking.

    No reduction for childs breakfasts. We decided to not bother and got our own food, otherwise it would have been 7 Euros each for all four of us.

    "Only slightly shabby (but under steady renovation), friendly old hotel that we use regularly to break up French journeys. " (107882761)

    Friendly, unpretentious old hotel in the town centre. Good parking. Only 2 hours from ferry ports.

    Both of our rooms smelt a little smoky this time and although we stay here regularly I wonder sometimes about fire exits from the upper floor corridors ?.

    good value as a stopover, v friendly staff , max 90 mins from Calais . Pleasant square with eateries close by. Secure parking .

    Rooms OK but still some very tatty communal areas , hotel is obviously undergoing v slow refurb.

    The family room was excellent, very new and clean, lovely en-suite, staff spoke excellent english & were very helpfull.

    Breakfast was entertaining, a mix of self service and served but staff tried hard.

    The accomodation was clean and practical and spacious and (importantly in December) warm and cosy. The owners had taken the time to light the stove in the lounge despite our being the only guests in the unit ( a three bedroomed barn conversion). The owners could not do enough for us and were helpful and considerate offering a very early breakfast as we were leaving early to finish our drive to Calais.

    We had difficulty booking on line and eventually telephoned our booking. The telephone booking was very easy although as there are no English speakers so this would be a barrier for the non French speaker.

    "We enjoyed our stay and will have no hesitation in staying here on our travels to southern France again. The hotel does not have a restaurant for evening meals (breakfast only) but this is no problem at all as it is a mere stone's throw from the Saint Quentin town centre where there is an abundance of high quality eateries."     A very tidy and well maintained property given its age. Very friendly staff who were exceedingly helpful. The price was great value for money as well.

    The night we stayed was very hot so had to leave the windows open which allowed outdoor noise to enter the room (although it wasn't a particularly busy area).

    very helpful staff, in spite of our poor understanding of the French language, the hotel was ideally situated for the Town. The breakfast was more than adequate and very well presented. We felt very welcomed and thoroughly enjoyed our stay

    We were under the impression from the description of the parking facilities that we had to park in the Hotel de Ville. However, this was not the case and were always accommodated in the hotel parking in spite of its limited room. This is just a slight criticism, and did not detract from our enjoyment

    "Hotel a little dated but served our purpose as a stopover for my family on the way to Switzerland for skiing. Breakfast was nice good choice of eggs and cheese and ham, bread and croissants and coffee. Check in is 24 hours so great for late arriving and also secure parking so we could leave some of our cases in the boot of the car." (97179920)

    "We chose online because of the secure parking. It was great peace of mind, we were travelling to Germany and the car was packed with Christmas presents for our family in Germany.     small car park situated in a 'one way system round the back' bit difficult to locate and a bit 'crowded' at busy times

    Reception/ bar area dull and nothing to encourage you to stay in the hotel prior to or after your evening meal in the town e.g music / television.

    "The Florence was easy to find and we parked in their small private gated car park. It is right in the centre and easy to walk (only meters) to many restuarants around a huge square. We will return and spend more time one day as we noticed there are many places to visit nearby." (97415384)

    The room was simple and pleasant, a little dated but very French which we liked. Great value for money!
