    "AWFUL" (108853873)

    Booking of rooms processed in July, double booking of rooms? 2 days notice prior to booking in?? Superior double room booked, 2 single beds in my room? My sister booked 3 double rooms the same time as me and was also double booked and only told at 23:10 the night before (3rd September) booking into hotel, my other friend was also double booked and informed 2 days before booking in? Me & my friend dug our heels in and said we were not prepared to give up our rooms, my sister had to transfer to another hotel, namely, the village?? My friends room, also a superior double had a bed infested with bed bugs and was awoken during the night from being bitten, (photographic evidence and a statement from night staff was taken) bites were so servere he had to pay a visit to his doctor when he returned to London, was offered another room in the early hours that was basically a disgrace, consequently he slept on the floor of his room, the next day, because of trying to sort out another room he subsequently missed half of my sons wedding ceremony. Staff were flippant to say the least, very unsympathetic or apologetic, overall, very, very poor customer service skills to say the least. This will be taken up with your higherachy, i.e. Classic British Hotels. This could have been resolved but unfortunately was not, it was the weekend of my sons wedding and to say the stay in your hotel enhanced it is an understatement....... Your staff may have been under some pressure regarding double booking but to say they handled the situation badly is also an understatement, my family and friends had travelled from London, (many of us straight from work) after a 3,4, or 5 hour journey the last thing you need is people being unhelpful to you. It did not entirely spoil our weekend but it certainly did not add to it...... Overall a most disatifying stay in your supposedly 4 star + hotel?

    good sized secure car park, comfortable working area in room

    On site restaurant closed at 10.00pm - limited choice on room service menu, pressure on shower was found to be poor

    location in down town; size of the room; comfortable stay, we liked it very much;

    swimming pool looks better in internet as it was; Cleanliness was not so good as we used to find in SPA´s

    Central location - very easy access to the shops and pubs of central Swansea. Hotel is easy to find. Plenty of car parking spaces available when we arrived (although it was a Monday). Plenty of Satellite channels on the TV.

    None really , although we did not book a breakfast as the charges seemed a bit steep (£14 or so for a cooked breakfast, only a little less for continental) Local pubs offer much better value.

    The hotel was of a very high standard the swimming pool was great so was the sauna

    The room was not as ordered a superior twin was ordered and first shown to a double then standard twin but it was acceptable

    Extremely helpful and pleasant staff. Good facilities and very clean.

    The restuarant menu could have been better (more choice), no half bottles of wine and I had to ask twice for a steak knife while the food cooled.

    "Overall good and would visit the hotel again. The above bad points were irritating (even the staff who eventually attended the lounge seemed a little po faced about the trek up and down) . The location meant you were central for shops and nightlife, although did result in a bit of late night noise" (107276844)

    Clean and nicely furnished Staff in the main very courteous and helpful Central position

    lounge bar on 1st floor not staffed during afternoons for refeshments hence the need to keep rining down to the brasserie and enduring the long wait. Parts of breakfast cold, tea served out of insulated pots by staff. The poorly signed area from the hotel car park to the side door for reception and the entrance barrier requiring you to take umpteen tickets before it decided to let you in.

    Nice room.

    Mini bar was half empty, no soft drinks, when I pointed that out to room service they apologised and said it woud be re stocked tomorrow ! No good to me as I was leaving the next day but I was too tired to bother explaining. Also could not switch the aircon on and the room was too hot, the aircon would automatically set itself to 18 and then switch off ! Room service menu was vert limited for a 4 star hotel.

    Helpful Staff, Great Location in City Centre (Shops/restaurants etc...), Good leisure facilities, Room Clean and Comfortable if not a bit small.

    Breakfast a bit expensive.

    "Also after we departed on the Sunday, the hotel then tried to take money out of our account on the Monday, because they said we stayed Sunday, which we did not, so the whole experience was terrible. I will not be staying in this hotel again. We booked this in advance, and we were also charged an extra £20.00 on top of our quote which we took with us, they still charged us an extra £20.00. So in all I was not very happy with our stay." (97944581)

    The room was very small for a family room, and we were given a room that had a connecting door, which we asked to change and was told we could not. unfortunately we were next to a couple of girls who were noisy and brought men back to their room and had a bit of a rave up next door to us. I was so upset because we had my daugter staying in our room.

    Our room and toilet was very clean.

    The room could have been bigger as we had a extra bed in the room, but overall it was great.

    "Hotel location is perfect in the centre of city,directions to the hotel could be better [swanseas one way system not good]would have asked for an inner room if possable to avoid sleepless night cause by outside noise.Apart from above the hotel is very good,would stay here again." (97413530)

    The rooms were amazing, lovely looking and extremely spacious.

    The only downfall was the price-but it was New years eve so the price does tend to go up. However, we have stayed there in October too and the price then is extremely reasonable.

    "Very good. Only problem at the moment is roadworks in Swansea town centre, which makes getting to the hotel car park very difficult!" (97403389)

    Clean, tastefully decorated, well equipped.

    At front of hotel so lot of noise from the street if one wanted to sleep with the window open.

    "When I last stayed at The Dragon refurbishment work was being undertaken, this has now been complete to a high standard, I was not able to take advantage of the Health Club facilities, my fault no time, but I was very happy with my stay, and will no doubnt do so again in the near future."     Only one comment, I didn't see a shower mat for the bath, I'm always afraid of slipping!! - room a little warm.

    "This is a good, well positioned hotel, good accommodation but everything other than the room is expensive - breakfast, room service, internet access, bar drinks etc. - everything is priced high so suggest you use the hotel for accommodation only and go elsewhere for everything else - eg. local internet cafe & Wind St. for bars, food etc." (99019224)
