    Goeie ligging, rustig, niet te duur

    Kamer onvoldoende licht; tapijt en dekens nogal stofferig; ontbijtmevrouw nogal kortaf; geen bagageruimte na uitchecken

    "Bit costly but it was last minute booking and nothing else was available at that time. So ok with the circumstances." (108502378)

    Clean rooms, everything was in working order, very near to underground station.

    Nothing bad but should not expect much. Basic facilities with usable conditions. No luxury stuff.

    "ubicación cerca del metro...pero habitación horrorosa y sin un simple estante donde apoyar las cosas...el servicio muy borde, sobretodo el señor de la recepción del turno de día y la señora del comedor donde daban el desayuno...el turno de la recepción de la noche si q era majo...el desayuno es monótono (cereales, leche, café y tostadas)" (107765231)

    la ubicación...el lavabo estaba reformado

    la distribución de la habitación...eramos tres...una cama pequeña y una cama de matrimonio instalada en un nivel superiorq se accedía por unas escaleras...no había armarios...teníamos q apoyar las cosas donde podíamos...el lavabo,aunque se veía q lo habían reformado, no tenía un armarito o estante donde apoyar las cosas...un caos

    Nicely made up, cheap for London I guess.

    Very small room, could have used some paint, floor tilts slightly. Breakfast basically just toast and cereal. Costs way too much compared to the rest of the world.

    Our room was very small. Breakfast room was also so small that we had to wait outside for free seats a couple of times.

    The water was really hot. The heating of the room was also fine. The room was clean. The room service was excellent.

    The room was kind of small.

    "Disppointed that hotel had more bad points than good points. Couldn't wait to depart so didn't have breakfast which was included in price of room." (107919520)

    Toilet, shower cubicle and handbasin were spotlessly clean. Room nice and warm throughout the night.

    No mattress protector on bed. Carpet in room not vacuumed. Remoted for TV didn't work. Walls between bedrooms very thin - had very noisy neighbours. Damp patches on walls of bathroom.

    "This is a very basic and shabby hotel that was ok for just one night. I thought it was expensive and needed a good clean. The staff spoke very poor english and the breakfast was basic." (107292443)

    Check in was quick and there is a left luggage area.

    The room needed redecorating. There was no lamp shade, the fire alarm constantly flicked red which was above the bed and very annoying! The breakfast was very basic and I think

    Great attitude of check in desk assistant, who couldnt do more to help.

    Breakfast staff were not happy that I came down for breakfast at 7.29am and I was told I had to wait - when in fact the room was ready and it wasnt as if she was serving me.

    Good location, nice pub across the road, but the same would go for the other 20 hotels around the square.

    TV remote didn't work. The one electrical plug was blocked by the cupboard screwed to the wall, couldn't use kettle or charge laptop. Bathroom extract fan not working, toilet smelt, shower lukewarm. No bedside light, only one bare bulb from the ceiling. "Double room" was minute, just as well I was on my own, two people's bags wouldn't have fitted, but at least it was bigger than the reception area. I thought the

    "This hotel is in a good borough and its well comunicated with London center. The rooms are big and there is not bathroom inside but there is a room in each floor (4 rooms per floor). The breakfast is correct." (97098031)

    Our room was big and it had a lot of light

    The water on the shower was cold!!!! The rest of the things were OK

    "Mr. Yaple, who expressed a need for an inexpensive hotel in central London (£50-60 pn) described the conditions overall as 'basic'. I noted the brochure provided by the Palace Court said it had 'recently been refurbished,' yet the telephone number bore a many years redundant prefix of 071." (97568393)

    I am writing on behalf of the guest Robert Yaple for whom I made the reservation and forwarding the opinions he gave to me.

    No nearby toilet to my room as requested, broken TV remote control, a failure to respond to a request for an early call.

    "I would have liked to know the exact size of room. despite being a single traveller it was very small. A map of how to get there from the nearest stations would have also been helpful. Overall, a pleasant experience considering price." (97857105)

    It was convenient, relatively inexpensive and clean.The staff were also very friendly, helpful and understanding in terms of room telephone challenges.

    Phone didn't work in the room, could hear people throughout the night, smell from toilet.

    "The worst part of the accommodations were the beds. They were so very uncomfortable sleep was near impossible. There were several pest control boxes scattered around the room. The heater provided for the room was inadequate to warm the room. I asked the agent behind the desk if it were possible to exchange mattresses; explained how painful the beds were. No attempt was made to better the situation nor was there a desire shown to compensate for the dire circumstances." (97533824)

    The location.

    The room was cramped with furniture. The room was drafty. The beds were in abmissal shape.....the mattresses were so worn you could feel the metal springs poking you.

    "Basically it was Xmas night and i was exceptionally drunk when i arrived very late carrying a folding chair, having attended a party at a friend's flat(where more chair action was required to acccommodate all revellers). The check in was simple and swift and check out mercifully late. In between, i appreciated the excellent shower pressure and slightly worn but clean-smelling towels, the warmth from the adjustable central heating, the comfy bed and the view from the room. Breakfast was a fair range of offerings -'continental plus' (ie with hard boiled eggs available in addition to the usual fare) - washed down with copious decent hot coffee. Throughout my stay no staff members (or guests for that matter) gave me any funny looks or attitude despite my obvious progression through various states from incoherence to staggering hangover, and all were attentive yet unobtrusive. However as i vaguely remember being sent by the man on reception for 'a short walk down the road' to 'a nicer hotel' when my minicab had dropped me off outside the Palace Court it is entirely possible i am reviewing the wrong establishment, and i did not take any publishable photographs to verify one way or the other. Nonetheless, a fine stay." (97955290)

    view, location, price, included breakfast - all good.

    the bathroom was slightly underattended to: there was a long dark hair - clearly someone else's as i am fair - on the shower wall. this is the first and clearest sign of poor cleaning.

    "The staff who checked me in were very helpful and friendly, however the chambermaids/breakfast staff were not! Whilst the price was very reasonable for the location of the hotel, there was no excuse for the state of the room, simple jobs like painting the room and buying a new toilet seat do not cost the Earth and the smell of the bathroom was overpowering. Had I'd known I would have paid a bit more for somewhere of a better standard." (99244762)

    The hotel is a 5 minute walk from Bayswater underground and main street with shops restaurants etc. Easy access to all areas of London and Paddington train station.

    Late check in, poor cleanliness, no lifts, broken/damaged facilities.

    Appeared clean. Hotel staff friendly and welcoming; 24 hour desk;

    No bedside lamps; only one towel and glass (in twin room); dampish smell; no lift; heating full on under an open window (in very hot weather); breakfast VERY basic in a rather joyless basement room.

    walkingdistance to many attractions.

    The showers were bad in the way that the waterpressure was low.
