    Clean hotel run by family who were extremely friendly. Breakfast was excellent.

    Found the showerroom too small. Also the lights in the showerroom fused making it impossible to use the toilet as the room has no window. This is probably just one of those things that can occasionally go wrong. Found it just a little too expensive compared to other local accomodation.

    "Great place to rest. It was our stop overnight between Stansted airport and Heathrow. Wish we had more time to spend there. Breakfast was great as well. Room was clean and well decorated. The bed and sheets were very comfortable." (107651649)

    Courteous and helpful service. We had some trouble getting there but once arrive our stay was excellent, thanks to Iain et al.

    Friendly, flexible (allowed additional young child in twin room), breakfast served beyond 09:00, quite convenient for wedding venue (Quendon Hall) and much cheaper than staying there.

    "From the minute we arrived to the minute we left we were made to feel very welcome. The room we stayed in, The Cambridge, was beautiful. The attention to detail was superb and my wife wanted to take the room home with us (but it wouldn't fit in the car!). We stayed at this hotel because we were guests at a nearby wedding and we were so glad we did. Breakfast was superb and was just what the doctor ordered after the heavy night before." (107123424)

    "We were made to feel very welcome and given a tea tray with biscuits upon arrival, the room was very tastefully decorated and very,very comfortable. The selection for breakfast was also excellent. The transport links for the train and airport could not have been any better, the hotel states that it is a 200 yard walk from the train station, and it is!! This was more of an experience than just passing through on our way home to Spain. I would highly recommend to anyone" (97446740)

    "Chimneys is a very old beamed cottage with just 4 rooms all decorated on a theme. My single room had a nautical theme. The whole place has been very tastefully decorated and is a delightful place to stay. When I stayed I was the only occupant but from the tray of tea in the lounge on my arrival to breakfast the next day I felt that nothing was too much trouble. A lovely place to stay for a few days to explore the surrounding area, close to Cambridge and Newmarket. Only caution is that some of the doorways are veruy low and you need to be careful not to decapitate yourself! I shall certainly revisit as it a lovely place to relax and unwind." (97846348)

    "Chimneys is a nice, quiet B&B in a nice quiet town, perfect for a day of winding down after a flight from the US west coast. Though the rooms are tucked and fitted into a 200 year old house, everything is first class, really clean and freshly painted or installed. The owner has been inventive and creative in the renovation, providing very comfortable and visually appealing rooms. The breakfast part was supurb. I couldn't have dreamed of a more English breakfast." (97271915)

    We were cordially greeted by our host who carried our bags up a steep flight of stairs to our room. The room was comfortable, with fine linens, and charming decor. We enjoyed the very pleasant sitting room. The breakfast was exceptional!

    "This B&B was absolutely fabulous. A quaint yet beautiful house within a nice town with easy rail access to London. Extremely friendly and helpful family who ran the B&B. In fact they provided us with maps and other information of what to do in London. Very personal touch. I would highly recommend this B&B to anyone.     Although I'm not too tall, I still managed to bump my head a couple of times on the low door frames.

    "The ambience and quality of Chimneys (which is outstanding) together with the courtesy shown by the Proprietor is a winning formula. The owner is an excellent 'mein host' and unflappable and very capable in culinary terms ! My family were very impressed and notwithstanding going on to stay at x3 top rated hotels afterwards, we felt that Chimneys has that certain 'je ne sais quoi' and topped the bill for our short stay in UK."     "The rooms were tidy and well presnted. Fortunatley my partner and I are young and able bodied, I would have liked to have been aware of the very steep narrow staircases as this would be unsuitable for people who were perhaps elderly and had difficulties climbing stairs. The accomodation and accomodation was good." (3305025996)

    The good presentation friendly reception and good quality facilities in the rooms whihc were all en-suite.

    The parking was limited but just adequate for the guests
