    Excellent reception and greeting of guests,friendly and helpful owners, excellent breakfast.

    Would have liked the choice of sitting at our own individual table instead of all guests sitting around a large dining table. Not everyone wants to hold a conversation first thing in the morning with people they have not met before.

    "A very warm welcome from the owners Barry and Lesley made us feel instantly at home. Applewood House is indeed a home from home, beautifully furnished, decorated and accessorised. Our room was large with a good sized en-suite shower room containing a powerful shower. Breakfast was fantastic. Barry and Lesley had obviously put a great deal of effort into providing a varied menu for all tastes. They were also very helpful in suggesting good places to see and restaurants to eat in. All in all a brilliant place to stay. We had a fabulous time and would not hesitate to recommend Applewood House to our friends and family." (97753406)

    Apart from the friendly owners and their beautiful home we loved the location. Being able to walk into Harrogate was a real bonus

    Very nice place. Well maintained and clean. Excellent room, has power showers which is very nice. The food was excellent and well prepared. Very quiet room.

    "I was made to feel welcome and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Over the years, I've stayed at many B&Bs and whilst it wasn't cheap, this was one of the best. I'd recommend it to anyone. It was an excellent choice. " (97390683)

    Very good breakfast with a wide choice of food to suit all tastes. Lovely house. Nice room with attractive decor. Lots of thoughtful little touches everywhere, like real milk, not those nasty little cartons, real coffee, a coice of teas, a little dish of mints etc. Quiet location, but not too far to walk into town. Friendly owners. Didn't think I'd like the communal breakfast table, but I did!

    "A lovely Bed and Breakfast located about twenty-five minutes walk from the conference centre in Harrogate. The owners were friendly and helpful; they offered to give me a lift into the town when I had my luggage to carry. The standard of cleanliness is excellent and the breakfast selection was good too.     "Barry and Lesley make the most perfect hosts. My husband and I really enjoyed our stay with them, nothing was too much trouble. The hotel was beautifully decorated for Christmas, really got us into the spirit of the season. Breakfasts were freshly cooked to order and excellent quality ingredients used.     Quiet,pleasant

    On arrival the owner talked for a long time and at breakfast we were never left alone to eat our breakfast as they were constantly in the dining room talking at us. Toast brought first thing with the coffee and no option when we would want it. i.e. with or after the meal.
