    Clean smart and bright. Good size rooms. Pleasant atmosphere. Good leisure facilities

    I was charged twice for my stay when booking on the internet. Hopefully, this has been refunded. Charged £2 for use of credit card, not informed when booking.

    Cleanliness, ease of booking, space

    food generally poor, evening meals too big for comfort and the burger was made with lean mince - so no taste. Breakfast was very dry though being kept warm

    Clean, good size TV in room, good breakfast, friendly staff.

    Bar had some football supporters in who were very loud, manager asked them in the end to be quiet but took half an hour before he did so ruined the meal listening to them shouting football chants after 3hr drive!

    Children enjoyed the gym facilities. Great to have a table in our room. Easy parking.

    Difficult to find using Garmin Satnav. Some shortages and queues at breakfast. Less choice at breakfast than in Nottingham Village Hotel.

    clean, Efficent, Wake up call perfect, Breakfast excellent as one of us had to catch a plane, the hotel but a very good continetial breakfast bag up, which lasted most of his morning at the airport.

    Only one bad point, my partner checked out at 6:30am, i wasnt checking out till 9am ish, i believe they thought our room was empty, i was disturbed by the cleaner , we both got a shock, and apologised

    Service good, breakfast ok, everything in the room worked as it should! Comfortable bed, decor ok. My request for an adjoining pair of double and twin room honoured. Quick checkout Could not fault it at the price

    Reception staff were excellent. Room was of a high standard

    in a family room would have expected more than 2 mugs. having waited for 10 minutes and being ignored by staff tried to order an evening meal in the bar only to find the 2 choices we wanted were both unavailable - went to KFC instead.

    Staff very polite and helpful

    Fan not working in room had to request new one as it was so hot. Shower didn't work very well. Left towels on bathroom floor to be changed the cleaner hung the dirty ones back up, had to request clean ones. Cups not very clean. Hardly any toilett roll in the bathroom had to request some. Service at breakfast not good at all. Had to wait half an hour for eggs to be cooked coffee and tea forgotten had to request a few times then gave up.

    Friendly Staff. New, modern facility. Pool and sauna,etc were great.

    Direction could be better. Restaurant was good but I was a little disappointed with my meal. Pizza on flatbread. It was good but I would have liked a little more. I'm not greedy but I think you should inform guests what to expect and let them decide prior to receiving their meal. Disappointed with the times our children were allowed to use the health facilities. We arrived at 5:30 to be told the children could use them. Not a problem if we knew this before we booked.

    Friendly staff. Excellent pool.

    Bathroom not spotless, odd hairs left in sink toilet and bath. Meal on Friday night not very good - tuna overcooked, salad had live little creapy crawly in it! Buffet breakfast was good.

    "Overall a very good hotel. On arrival our daughter was given a small bag with crayons and a colouring book, plus a treat which was a nice touch. We received especially good service from Katy in the restaurant. She was friendly and efficient whilst some of the staff just stood around and chatted whilst we were there." (97494145)

    Room was large. Bed very comfortable, Tea / coffee making in room with biscuits. Very clean and we had a very good nights sleep.

    The room was pleasant and convenient. The hotel had very good facilities and the breakfast buffet was excellent.

    Overall the staff were cooperative but some could learn from the rest.

    "Overcharged by hotel on accomodation had to explian that I had booked through Active hotels. NOise from other guests in room next to us abusive language heard very clearly. Room service took over an hour. Food from room service terrible. Waited in bar for lunch for over an hour other guests in our party served at different intervals. Barman apologised but the day was spoilt. Leisure centre very nice and location of hotel good" (99031220)

    The hotel was very impressive, this was my first stay at a Village Hotel and I will definitely visit them again. The hotel was clean, the food was great, the leisure facilities were very enjoyable and overall it was a very pleasant experience.

    there was tea and biscuits extra pillows which was good
