    shower temp., could not be adjusted,scalding hot, room smelt of damp,bed sagged in the middle ,loud traffic noise outside bedroom window,shower door did not close ,door came off in my hand,had to abandon having a shower,breakfast floating in grease.

    This is an excellent hotel/pub with a very good atmosphere. The range of unknown beers in the bar was daunting at first, but provided an interesting diversion for the evening. The food was first class, as was the service.

    Food was very good, excellent range of beer and the staff were knowledgeable about it. Good directions to hotel.

    Room very warm. Shower dripped and had to be left on the bottom of shower cubicle to prevent this. There was a notice asking to ensure that the shower doors were closed when showering, but this was impossible because doors would not meet at the bottom.

    The whole place is in need of a serious make over. Colour schemes are consistent of the old PUB format when smoking was permitted and dark drab coloured didn't show smoke staines - it need to be much brighter particularly the romm accommodation areas

    The food was superb - every meal was a delight. The salmon was the best I have ever tasted! The atmosphere was charming. The owner along with staff was friendly, helpful, and happy. The quiz night on Thursday was very well done, and great fun.

    The layout of the room was a bit awkward, and the wireless internet could not be accessed in the room, but it was easily accessed (and fast) in the dining room.

    I attending the evening celebration of a friends wedding, the event room and club downstairs were superb. The residents bar was very comfortable and a pleasure for a nightcap. Our room was very comfortable and had an very nicely decorated bathroom.

    We had a faulty lamp in our room and it was quite small for a twin. Breakfast was particularly expensive.

    Fantastic selection of real ales and pretty good food. The owner and his staff are excellent.

    It says on your website that all rooms have an uninterupted country view (No they don't) most of them have my girlfrinds room (Room No 6) had a direct view of the building accross from her. Cleanliness. The top off the wardrobe was dusty in my room.

    "We would definitely recommend this hotel as the staff were excellent, breakfast was huge for a fiver and very nice, and being a Free House there was a great selection of beverages from foreign lagers and beers to real ales. Nice location away from residential area and near to lakes making for a lovely walk the next day." (97255785)
