    Fab location just off M25 but in countryside. Nice restaurant and not too expensive. Free Wireless Tea/Coffee machine in lounge with biscuits and fruit for guests

    Small room Didn't leave toiletries every day Only one big towel!

    Excellent breakfast, beautiful grounds, reasonably priced room service menu, several friendly staff members

    So far from town that even minor excursions resulted in expensive cab rides, staff failed to give me requested wake up calls TWICE, INCLUDING the day I was leaving and needed to catch an airplane! Overall, much of the staff seems friendly but very young and a bit understaffed. Service fell apart during "rush" times.

    Good location, beautiful grounds, polite helpful staff, clean spacious rooms

    3pm check in not brilliant as getting ready for wedding locally. Vut staff did offer a 'changing room' and managed to get one of the two rooms early. So no real complaint. No hot water in the morning, resulting in cold shower/wash. Not great.

    "This hotel is absolutely fabulous. I was only looking for somewhere to put my head down for the night but I discovered an absolutely brilliant hotel.Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Food was superb. Room was 5 star! Value for money was second to none. I will stay here again without hesitation." (107703176)

    Fabulous Accommodation. Superb Food. Accommodating & Friendly staff. Location is great, quiet country road. Taxi ride to town if that is what you want to do.

    A pleasant room, although not part of the main hotel which was a slight disadvantage in inclement weather. Very helpful staff.

    The hotel had no record of my booking on arrival! The receptionist was very helpful - the fault appears to rest with your own booking systems.

    The staff were genuinely friendly and efficient, not just making an effort.The Hotel was also very comfortable and set in pretty and quiet surroundings.

    Only 1 picky criticism, the chord on the iron was worn, which we should have reported.

    I believe the hotel has recently undergone refurbishment. It was really lovely. Very comfortable rooms, bar area and restaurant. The games and everything that was laid on was an added bonus.

    "This hotel is set in a stunning location but is not really signposted from the main road. The Swimming Pool was a good size but I didn't have time to use it. The room was fine for what I needed and will definitley stay here again." (97841216)

    Very clean, fresh & comfortable + the Poer Shower in the bathroom was superb.

    The buffet breakfast offered a great choice but could have been a little warmer.

    "I did not know there was no lift until I arrived. If I had had more luggage it would have bothered me. Otherwise was very pleased and would return if back in the area. I liked the hotel and the staff." (97368398)

    Very clean and comfortable.

    Shower was not very hot at highest setting. Some tea things were omitted from tray one day and would have liked more milk sachets.

    Basic room and leisure facilities but excellent value for money. Very quiet and pleasant surroundings. Fantastic breakfast!

    Swimming pool was closed for maintenance in the morning, but I accept these things can happen.

    Location

    Check in staff looked like they had walked in off the street and there was no acknowledgement I was there whilst she continued her phone call. No information about times or location of breakfast or whether there was lift access to the rooms. Big hole in the bathroom wall where I suspect a vent cover should have been. Towels were thin and cheap - not what I expect for the price paid Bed made with the duvet cover rucked and folded on the underside - I had to take it off and straighten it out to be able to get into bed I had a 'do not disturb' sign on the door as I had work to complete before leaving the hotel at 10am. The cleaners seem to take this as a sign not to enter the room but not to keep quiet outside. They parked the cleaning trolleys outside the room and conversed in very loud voices for at least 20 mins outside the door. Had I flown into Heathrow in the early hour as I frequently do, and was trying to sleep I would have been furious. 'Do not 'disturb' in this calibre of hotel should mean what it says not just 'do not enter'. The shower was abysmal and difficult to work out which of the taps needed turning. I would have got wetter standing in the rain. Breakfast finished serving at 9am but at 8:30am there was nothing but congealed and cold foot on the hotplates with no chefs to ask for anything else. I had to ask about service and approach table cleaners to get a hot drink. No instruction at all on entering as to where things were and what I could have let alone being asked if I wanted tea/coffee or toast etc.

    "I had booked into the hotel because it was the best and nearest to Harfield hospital. We stayed for 2 days after an operation. The hotel was very clean and pleasant staff who made you feel welcome. Because the food was not enough for value the second evening we went out to have a meal. This is the only critisism i have."     price and location were very good rooms and service ok could be a lot better. Not the fault of the staff as they were exellent but not enough of them.

    "The staff were not dressed smartly and were ill informed. One person told us there would be no bar. The bar did eventually open but had no ice. There was confusion about the times for breakfast. We were eventually told by the duty manager that breakfast was served until 10am and the best time to come down was 9.30. When we arrived at this time we were told that the kitchen was closed and we did not get any breakfast. When we checked out there was no one of authority to deal with our complaint. The dining room was a marquee off the lounge area as apparently the hotel is undergoing a refurbishment, something that was not mentioned on the website. The place struck us as more geared up to hold conferences than as a normal hotel, something else not made clear on the website." (99070208)

    Room was clean and heating was on which we were grateful for as it had turned cold.

    The room was small and had not been used for some time so the bathroom snelt musty. There was no towel rail for the hand towel near the sink. The overall feeling of the place was that is was run down.
