    "very relaxed, able to travel to dales and peak district which was the purpose of the visit. Probably would not stay in the same area again, nothing against the hotel" (108990631)

    no problems incurred. everybody very helpful and pleasant. rooms good and clean, nice location

    hotel restaurant was italian, although served a few english meals, menu not varied enough. Service was not as good as it could have been

    the room was very comfortable and airey the staff where very very pleasant especially during breakfast nothing was to much trouble i would recommend this hotel to friends and family.

    my husband and i thought when we booked the room and used our credid card we had paid but when we arrived the lady asked for my credid card and i forgot to bring it.

    Restaurant very good

    Metered parking, if you don't put money into the meter first thing in the morning you risk a £50 fine. Executive room right next to a kitchen fan which made a noise all night.

    Very convenient for town centre. Places around to relax.

    Very small room even considering the economy of cost. Had to pay for car parking although the car park was large and easy to access.

    Clean, comfortable, good facilities

    Dinner (in Prego) was mediocre (but breakfast was good). No-one on reception when I arrived and had to wait for some time to be checked in. Once receptionist arrived was very polite - all staff helpful and polite.

    "Fine, in spite of the malfunctions in the room, the staff were very sweet and I am sure, if we had stayed longer, they would have sorted them all out." (107580587)

    The staff were charming and helpful. Hot water in shower plentiful. Beds comfortable. The restaurant was wonderful, also with charming staff.

    Electronic light system didn't work. TV didn't work properly. Hot tap in sink faulty causing frontal drenching. Handle on bathroom door falling off. Shower gel dispenser didn't dispense. when flushing the loo, the cistern lid lifted! Music from restaurant audible from the room. No radio in room.

    The breakfast was very good and the bathroom was nice plus towels and soaps etc

    The Tv was out of order 50% of the lighting in the room was not working also it was very cold at times in the rooms, I hit my head on the TV putting waste in the bin. My son also hit his head and cut it we did ask when we booked the room if we could have two rooms away from the canel side as the last twice we have stay we have been kept awake by the swearing and noise of people using the canel path I always tell friends and business contacts to stay at the waterlodge hotel Please note this is only a summary of bad points and not complaints

    The room was extremely hot with no air conditioning. We had to close the window because the noise from the kitchen extractor fan was deafening to the point where one could not sleep. After a long journey we had virtually no sleep at all. On leaving we complained to the receptionist who informed us that she had received lots of complaints for the same reason and we were not offered any discount for the inconvenience.

    parking, access and lack of detailed directions the last 500m are pure guess work and the signage is minute and baffling.

    Room and hotel corridors very hot due to poor ventilation no air conditioning. Shower in room of poor quality.Weather very hot and humid don't use in humid weather.

    "We used the hotel as a base while visiting family so didn't spend that much time there but we would like to return and for a more relaxing time and to check out the restaurant as the menu looked good, lots of seafood." (107116512)

    The staff were friendly and attentive. The hotel was bright, modern and clean. Breakfast was very good value.

    Reception was not in the best place as when we were checking in there was a large number of people from the restaurant waiting for taxis and we had to struggle through them

    Good air conditioning system. a fair selection of complimenatry tea and coffee

    Rude staff who's attitude resulted our not having breakfast on the last day. Deluxe executive room had twin beds joined instead of at least a double bed. The twin beds were of different heights and matresses on each were different, resulting in a sleeples night, backache and head ache and of course we could not sleep together. There was some black unidentifiable stuff coming out of the jacuzzi which forced us to use the shower only. Fridge did not work. The room was very far from reception and as there was no concierge, I had to log my suitcase on the 6 minuite assort course to the room. We almost got lost in the corridors on a few occassions.

    Traffic from main road to Huddrsfield can be noisy. Parking is pay and display and can be a problem until later in the evening. You can pay

    "A bit about the parking would be useful, that it is pay and display but free after a certain time and perhaps about the once a month car boot sale. But we were soon able to find it out at reception. Overall a good place to stay and I would recomend it. Our initial problem of no extra bed was very soon rectified with a complimentary single room for which we only paid the original extra cost and we really could not have asked for a better service. My husband likes a smaller friendly bar where this one is quite large and a bit sterile, none the less everyone was still very friendly and helpful.Good buffet breakfast with quick service.     Very nice hotel,very comfy, clean and tidy. excellent value for money

    loud music from bar, late at night but staff did turn it down immediately on request so not a major problem.

    "I would only caution that the access to the rooms through corridors , up stairs and interminable fire doors might not suit the unfit but a minor Gripe . The attached restaurant Prego served an excellent choice of meals not inexpensive but very good quality. Staff we all very helpful I will be returning to stay there again" (97559294)

    We had the deluxe suite. The room was very clean, and the bathroom was one of the best we have ever had in a hotel.

    It was a bit of a maze finding the room !
