    "We were very satisfied with this hotel - very convenient for the city centre, yet protected from the noise of the busy street outside. No meals available, but we knew that when we booked, and found a bakery/cafe almost next door for breakfast.Comfortable, clean, pleasant and unobtrusive staff, good value." (97628689)

    The atmosphere was cool but the location still a bit far from the metro.

    "This was our first stay in Madrid - we wanted a central location - to be near the flamenco and social scene - but with a quiet bedroom / location and it was ideally placed - Casa Patas is just over the road. We like family run small hotels and found the staff very friendly - one spoke good english. We knew there was no dining room but we were delighted with the excellent bread/cake/coffee shop almost next door, plus we found a good variety of restaurants, ( including vegetarian choices) cafes and bars very close by - it was very good value and we would come back."     Very central inside the City of Madrid and the Golden triangle Prado, Thyssen Museo Granda Armade. Close to the down town too with excellent facilities

    May be a key to the outer door and the entrance port will be a favour to late arrivers during the stay.

    Good value for price - location good, enough close to the very center of tne city. Rooms are clean. Friendly host family.

    Lack of English speaking could be a problem for some travellers.
