    clean, good facilities.

    dinner priced at £8.95 in info. Chould have said "from £8.95".Would have helped if directions were from M20 as well as from the A2.Would have had a problem if disabled with access.

    Good location, with easy access to main points of interest.

    Not suitable for disabled visitors although this is not stated in the pre-booking information. Access can only be gained after ringing a bell and waiting for doors to be unlocked. Title--Hotel?? no lounge or other sitting area, no reception area. Booking in and the giving of hotel rules takes place in a narrow passage way. My room description was light and airy. Room was cramped with nowhere to sit to apply make up etc. Furniture in front of sash window makes opening very difficult. Nowhere to sit comfortably or unpack suitcase. Water flow in shower hazardous.

    having 7 suitcases they make wait in the street , for 1 hour and a half , I told them I needed the room for 4 nights they did not have space so i could not cancel , and next day they ask me to go out early , extra charge for credit card paymente is ridicuolus

    Excellent room standard with helpful, friendly staff. Very close to everywhere where we wanted to go in Dover.

    "I was happy with my short stay, as this Guest House provided all it promised, and more. I would definitely recommend it to friends." (107673389)

    Hubert House is welcoming and homely for the weary traveller. I liked the extra touches such as the little chocolate on the pillow and the tiny vase of real flowers on the breakfast table. The decor in the room was tasteful and co-ordinated. I was sorry I hadn't booked to stay longer.

    Bedroom window was difficult to open, and the bed, though comfortable, could have done with another blanket or thicker duvet, as the night was chilly.

    "Stayed in the Georgian Suite, I highly recommend it. Very spacious with lovely aspect to the front. Lovely bed, the room was quite cold but the very warm duvet made up for it." (107943212)

    Friendly staff, reasonable priced breakfast.

    Check in is late so had to find things to do first with luggage. Equally, check out is early. The Bistro is not actually a functioning facility but is sold as a finer point of the hotel. I took my chef boyfriend there especially so quite disappointed not to be able to use that well advertised facility. Its not expected to open again until March 2009 at the earliest.

    Very comfortable room/bed. Lots of choice for breakfast and a range of prices for different types of breakfast. Friendly staff.

    the hotel itself is very nice, good rooms

    bit disappointed that the restaurant was shut otherwise a good stay, clients do need to be aware that it seems to be more or less unmanned from 9 pm ( which I consider early as I work out of hotels more than 3 days a week & most are fully functioning until the early hours, both here & in europe in my experience) offers Wi Fi apparently but we were not told about this which was irritating as I was working trying to send e-mails until well after 10 pm

    "Hotel is very clean and there is everything in the room you could possibly want. Chocolate on the pillow was a nice touch. Alot of thought has gone into this hotel. Only down points were that checkout wasn't until 4pm and the room was quite noisy because it is on the main road. The staff were friendly (maybe a bit too friendly) and I did feel a bit uncomftable at times. Overall though a nice hotel." (97158082)

    It was nice, pleasant & perfectly adequate for a one night stay

    The fact that that I was told on the phone that arriving at 10pm would be too late. The reason for my doing so was, because the weather had been so hot & I was coming from Bedfordshire, I waited until 7pm to set off.

    "We have stayed at Hubert House when the previous owners were there and found it much more welcoming then. We object very strongly to staying at a bed and breakfast establishment that charges extra for breakfast. We found the overall cost too much for this type of 'hotel'." (3304704392)

    It was central to Dover and we had easy access to the ferry terminal

    The room was freezing cold and smelt of cigarette smoke and we are none smokers. Didn't find the proprieter overly friendly.

    "We absolutely 'loved it'. Very warm welcome given, all needs catered for. Hosts could not do enough for you. Standard of service was excellent. The bed-room and the breakfast room were tastefully decorated and were very homely. Excellent value for money and we have already made up our minds to visit again before the end of the year."     Checking the expiry dates on the milk and cream as ours were out of date and made our drinks undrinkable.

    any sort of catering facilities after 7pm would be a great addition. to be able to have drink in the evening would have be nice.
