    The location of the hotel was perfect; stunning views and good facilities in the room.

    The bath and tiles were extremely old and in desperate need of replacement or at least updating.

    "This hotel was booked online which was an easy process, the hotel lived up to its description, we found it from instructions on the hotel website. The staff were all very welcoming and we felt it was worth the money we paid for it. The breakfast was very good and the restaurant looked out onto the harbour which was very pleasant. Soundproofing was excellent and we never heard a thing all night, which is a plus these days." (99950916)

    "From the online pix, I was expecting something less-- modern, boxy, ugly perhaps a businessy-hotel... but was attracted by the waterfront location. Naturally we were peasantly surprised when it turned out to be modern but not unattractive, comfy, and that part of the hotel was indeed and charming (Wharf Tavern wing.) If I were marketing director (and I am, in fact a marketing director) I would emphasize the charm and comfort and location. the architecture won't win prizes, but the experience was wonderful."     Lots of closet space, wonderful view, big comfy bed, location in walking distance of town, the Wharf Tavern with its good food and wonderful friendly service. Perfect at the end of a touring day. I also liked being able to book online that very morning and getting a confirmation before leaving the computer. Thank you for the coffee maker and hair dryer!

    Parking was a challenge on Saturday night. Otherwise, nothing. We were so happy and relaxed that we went back to bed to read/nap AFTER breakfast.

    Option for Fridge in room but none in stalled, Bathromm requires more lighting.

    the Hotel upgraded our rooms at no extra price without asking. The rooms where large with excellent views

    "I enjoyed my weekend stay at the Trident. It's in a wonderful location and the rooms are laid out to take full advantage of the views. The service was friendly and efficient. The bar is the least appealing feature of the hotel despite the friendly staff." (3305370865)

    The room was very comfortable and bright, with a nice view (though not one of the superior roomes). The breakfast selection was very good with friendly and efficient service. The dining room is a very pleasant room for breakfast with lovely views on sunny mornings.

    The bar gives a bad impression and is badly in need of a facelift. The control switch on the radiator did not work but we did get a fast response to this when we phoned reception in the form of a staff member with a wrench but it took a couple of attempts before we managed to switch it off.

    Sea view, plenty of storage space, excellent breakfast, excellent evening menu.

    The breakfast was out of this world. A lovely array of cold and hot options to choose from. My husband particulary enjoyed the smoked salmon.

    "If I had knowen this hotel was going to be set in such a beautiful location, rooms so comfortable and the staff were going to be so helpful I would have demanded that my company pay for me to stay the week instead of the flying visit that it turned out to be. I will return." (3304255717)

    The location was stunning, the staff were friendly, the rooms were comfotable and the food was fantastic.

    My stay wasn't long enough to notice any areas to improve.

    It was in a fantastically picturesque setting. It was very clean and airy, service was excellent, staff were friendly. It provided excellent value for money, and the food was of a very high standard with a wide range of choice available, especially at breakfast. The view from our room was stunning.

    I could not really fault this hotel.
