    Zeer comfortabele bedden

    Hotel is heel erg oud en in slechte staat van onderhoud. Afgebladderde verf,kapotte ramen enz.

    The Falstaff is a very convenient hotal as well as being first class in services and comfort. This will certainly be our venue for future visits to Canterbury.

    Staff were extremely welcoming and helpful - arranging an early breakfast and providing information about local transport. Only a one night stay but a very good impression formed.

    Staff very helpful and the hotel was in good condition for an old premises.

    The cold water was warm and had a peculiar taste for the tea-making facilities. Get cold water from the kitchen. Poor show no marmalade at breakfast. This could have been easily remidied.

    Helpful staff, convenient location, car parking. Room was clean.

    Old part: sound transmitted through wall, could hear conversations and TV at 4am in the morning. Clearly, staff had not done a security and comfort tour otherwise they would have heard as this went on for a number of hours. Room looked ready for redecorating, starting to look well worn in places.Secondary double glazing was on not in position, our room overlooked the noisy main road. OK it's in the age and character of the building but does every floorboard have to creak?

    Location, friendly staff, character of the rooms in the main building.

    Showers not reliable, low pressure, cleanliness lower than expected. Breakfast not good, we normally eat out.

    "No problems at all- we stayed in one of the Woodmill rooms which is in a building located around the back of the main building- you get in this building by entering a code at the door (reception give you the code). The room was big, the en suite was very clean and included everything you needed. Cannot find any faults!" (107822727)

    Staff were excellent; friendly, helpful, and dealt with all problems and requests quickly and effectively. We were upgraded to a suite because we had problems with our initial room, without any fuss.

    Initial room smelt and the toilet wasn't clean, the lights and phone didn't work and the window was open and too high to reach.

    Lovely building, the size of the room was fair and it is a great location, near Canterbury West and Westgate. We were lucky to have a room facing the courtyard. I would not have been happy if we'd been in a room overlooking the busy main road.

    The 'double' bed was tiny and uncomfortable. Also the water pressure in the shower was laughable. The TV remote was on its last legs and was stuck together, poorly for that matter, with a bit of sellotape and due to this is was very difficult to get it to work properly.

    Central position. Bedding and bathroom clean.

    Decor extremely tatty. Had to ask for cot in room even though we had booked it and I rang the day before to check. Staff very casual and not very knowledgeable ( when I rang to check, couldn't find booking. Whole place needs a good clean and redecorating.

    Good location with adequate parking,frindly,helpful staff. Overall standard of hotel decoration, furnishing and cleanliness was very good. Good choice of breakfast and food very tasty.

    Our room in the Tap Room section, had loose wallpaper in one corner, and paint peeling off the windows, especially in the bathroom. There was ripped floor covering in the bathroom.

    Great location of hotel very close to the centre of Canterbury. Staff were all very friendly.

    House keeping was very poor. Room not cleaned during our stay, bins not emptied every day & toiletries never replaced in bathroom.
