    "2n d visit . We thought we would give them a 2nd chance. However , excluding the staff, we found the general state of the room very poor. We were given a discount on complaining , however the price does not reflect the condition of the hotel." (108569395)

    Recieption & Restaurant Staff Excellent & well mannered

    Room not cleaned or made up 2nd day. Black mould on bathroom ceiling & round shower head.Plaster coming off bedroom ceiling.TV & cabinet covered in Dust.

    "Thoroughly enjoyable stay at this hotel. Unfortunately when we booked in the hotel had no record of our booking (booked online) despite the fact that we had the printed confirmation of our booking with us (luckily!). Fortunately the hotel was not fully booked and we were offered a twin room which had been made into a double room - and had to pay £100 per night and not the £90 we were originally quoted. Not a great start, but the hotel was lovely and luckily we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Probably would not book online to stay there again, or if we did would have to telephone them to confirm the booking as well." (108696497)

    Very clean, tidy, friendly and had a lovely atmosphere. Staff were very helpful and the place overall had a very pleasant feel about it.

    There were no bad points about this hotel at all.

    "Satisfactory. The problems listed with the decoration in our bedroom, did not reflect the overall standards in the rest of the hotel, which was good. A comfortable, welcoming hotel" (108011567)

    Good location with adequate parking,frindly,helpful staff. Overall standard of hotel decoration, furnishing and cleanliness was very good. Good choice of breakfast and food very tasty.

    Our room in the Tap Room section, had loose wallpaper in one corner, and paint peeling off the windows, especially in the bathroom. There was ripped floor covering in the bathroom.

    Great location of hotel very close to the centre of Canterbury. Staff were all very friendly.

    House keeping was very poor. Room not cleaned during our stay, bins not emptied every day & toiletries never replaced in bathroom.

    "Everything was ideal. The room was well appointed and had an excellent writing desk. The restaurant and room service were very good and throughout my stay I was comfortable and well catered for. Breakfast which was not included in the basic rate was very good. There was good carparking and the Hotel is excellently situated for the city and main line station" (97408540)

    Nice large room. Well furnished. Very clean. Iron and ironing board in room plus tea/coffee making tray. Quiet and peaceful (our room was in Woodmill Building). Good location - close to all amenities.

    It was perfectly located in Canterbury. Their was a warm friendly atmosphere, and the staff were very helpful. The rooms were very comfortable and quiet. Overall it was a pleasant stay. We would definately stay there again should we be in Canterbury in the future.

    The bathrooms were clean but not very pleasant.

    Quiet and comfortable with excellent toileteries. Fresh milk available for tea.Room was warm despite a very cold night.Situation excellent for exploring the city.

    Check in was a little worrying.Staff seemed very distracted and we were a little concerned that we were charged before we had completed our stay.Lack of prior information regarding non-availability of dinner being served. Understand the reason but should have been informed.

    Great location; charming & typical look/feel; very pleasant, efficient staff

    Room wasnt ready at check-in time and delayed our afternoon. Rooms were cold on arrival as heating had been off (warmed up once turned on).

    "Had a great stay at the Falstaff and would definitely stay again. The staff were pleasant and courteous. Unfortunately at about four in the morning, ten or more youths (students) decided to have a fight in the car park outside our room which obviously woke us up. This went on for ten minutes before I called reception who then contacted the police. The police took about ten minutes to arrive so it was going on for quite a while. So we didn't get much sleep that night, but what we did get was very nice. It's not the hotels fault that there was a fight in their car park, my point is that if I hadn't have phoned reception they would never have known and the fight would probably still be going now. Monitor CCTV more frequently because the car park is nowhere near the reception." (97504424)
