    We had a disabled friend with us and she managed well in hotel,it was clean,breakfast was good and best of all three of us could share a room together.

    There was a hen party staying at hotel and they were noisy in the early hours,well like four thirty in the early hours !

    Room and bathroom were both clean. Staff we did see were pleasant.

    Only three pillows in a double room, no extra blankets in the cupboard. No information in the bedroom regarding the hotel or surrounding area. The breakfast was hit and miss, for instant the croissants were 'doughy' on the top and black and burnt on the bottom.

    Recently refurbished room, fairly basic but clean. Good shower room. Everything worked. Reasonable service. Staff generally helpful. Good bus links to city centre.

    Breakfast OK in itself but expensive. Rooms at front of hotel face the very busy Hagley Rd - they are double glazed but if you want peace then suggest you ask for a room at the back instead.

    I found the staff very easy to book in with. I came to stay overnight because I had an appointment at the Q.E. Hospital following day. My allocated room was nice and as I would have expected. However the T.V. was not working correctly, but upon reporting this I was moved to another room. which was of the same standard.

    1) I was never asked would I like help with my bagage.( I did not ask, but would have taken up opportunity as was embarrased because I have Cardiac broblems.) 2.) The room to which I was moved to was next door to the ground floor entrance and every guest entering through that door looked in the room window. 3.) I am a smoker and found a lack of ashtrays on tables in courtyard. 4.) Even though I had booked a taxi for the following day, upon checking the taxi co. had no records so was booked again and was fine. (this could have been the responsibility of the taxi co. 5). The courtyard was very untidy and deserved more. More ashtrays about,The Planting areas,needed a weeding and clean uo. There were still cig ends outside the function room on floor together with empty party poppers and bits of tissues. I found the rear car park the same, with empty plastic bottles and litter. The garden areas would certainly benefit from a good sorting and cleaning, because it was looking like a not cared for council estate. It may not be a bad idea to have a little leaflete re the history of the premisses, together with some old photos. Those rear gardens have some history of which all visitors would be interested in. 2.)

    Nice clean modern room. Friendly and helpful staff. Friendly and comfortable feel to the hotel. Excellent breakfast and service.

    Non smoking room requested but our room smelled constantly of tobacco. Sash Window was not working properly and a lump of wood was provided to keep it open. Smoker guests were noisy in the quadrangle outside our room until 3.00 am as the sound echoed around the buildings.

    Room OK bed comfortable & linen clean.Breakfast not to bad we have had much better in other hotels of same price range

    We found the room a bit on the small side, the toilet had not been flushed or cleaned from previous occupation.

    "We only stayed one night so put up with the bad points; if we had been staying longer we would have complained about the broken items. Apart from the minor broken items the room was exceptionally clean and served us well." (108140006)

    Very good value for money and the room was exceptionally clean. Breakfast staff were very good, polite and prompt.

    four items in the bedroom did not work - the blind was broken, the bath plug was broken, the basin plug was broken and the shower shampoo dispenser was broken

    Food was OK.

    I was booked into this hotel for a second night the following week, when my business trip was cancelled , the punitive cancellation policy of 3 days means I had to pay for a nights accommodation that I did not want, so business people beware. Also tne gardens could do with a good tidy up, they are very shabby. I didn't like the blinds in the rooms, it made it very difficult to open and close the window and let to much light in in the morning, curtains would have been much better.

    I stayed in the annex the first night. This was noisy--phones ringing doors banging door bell rang. Staff working at night spoke loudly together waking me up at 5am. Next night I moved to the main part of the hotel at the back. The bathroom was exceedingly hot for some reason and it was impossible to sleep in the heat. Also staff made too much noise during the night--bottles and talking and music.

    staff friendly, helpful and polite, very clean and well equipped rooms,

    Gardens and courtyard required weeding and general tidying up, staff eating in the lounge not good, breakfast was quite small compared with other places especially if you can't eat yeast and milk products eg toast and cereal, family visiting for a drink one evening had their car locked in - would be useful to signpost that those staying in the hotel should park at the back so that the front can be allocated purely to visitors, front windows require double glazing as very noisy

    "Good value and a good location with free parking. It looked clean and breakfast was as good as any 4 star hotel. But it would have been better if there was a shower and a different bed." (107944587)

    Quiet room overlooking garden, free parking. Breakfast was good

    No shower in bathroom only spa bath which took a while to fill, would much rather have a shower. It was very awkward to wash my hair. Bed had a 6 inch platform around it in a black material as did the headboard, it looked a bit tatty, not the type of bed that I would think suitable for a hotel.

    Very clean and modern room, good standard of furniture and fittings, good food in the bar. Very good location for commuting into central Birmingham.

    Bath too small, hot water intermittent in the evening.

    Clean room and good facilities, excellent food, friendly staff

    Room facing front of the hotel was very noisy by the main road, secondary glazing did not shut fully, curtains did not block out much light. Disturbed nights sleep due to both of these factors

    Rooms very clean, staff very nice. Would definately go back as was excellent value for money.

    Rooms quite small and stuffy which wasnt a real problem for us as we were located at the back of the hotel and could open window but if at front on main road would have been really noisy.

    The hotel is extremely clean, from rooms, to dinning area and there is a car park

    The receptionist did not seem to understand when I told him that I had paid I had to phone the bank only had they spoken to him that the money was deducted from my account. There was a point where I had thought my money got lost. and his english language was good.

    Friendly staff. Clean. Good room, especially bathroom. Breakfast cooked to order, not buffet. Good bar with reasonable prices.

    Digital TV reception v bad on main channels. I had to re-tune to analogue which taxed my skills!

    Staff were incredibly helpful and were always polite and approachable. Room was spotlessly clean and well presented. Location and parking were also very good.

    "I booked online as a single, my husband ended up in Birmingham on his business so I phoned the hotel direct to change / cancel my booking. I would like to especially mention Daz / Dax??? A man on reception. He was really helpful and phoned me back when he said he would. He changed my single to a double and was very efficient to get it all organsised.
