    Staff very friendly & helpful, good facilities in room (shower, fridge, etc.), clean, good price.

    A bit too close to railtrack, no shower gel or shampoo bottles provided, breakfast does not start until 8am.

    Kamer incl. sanitair was o.k. Dichtbij tubestation

    Geluidsoverlast van andere hotelgasten. Er werd niet ingegrepen door personeel. Personeel was onvriendelijk.

    "I was in London for 6 night and after the first night I did seek for an other hotel." (107584960)

    - during the internet booking I did have the feeling that I paid (CB number....) so when I arrive for booking I have been supprised and a bit suspicious by the fact that I needed to paid. - Over charge if I wanted to pay via ma credit carte - The bed room was smely the smoke and the carpet did look clean. - Insecte run away under the florr of the bath ... . Very desapointed. I will never book there again.

    "I only had contact with two members of staff, one male and one female. The man had an excellent customer attitude and if my check-in had not been handled so badly, my overall review would have been very good." (107877511)

    Check in: I was told by a female receptionist that I must pay a surcharge for using my credit card. I said that had not been made clear on booking. She showed me a form with it on but I had not seen this form. I refused to pay the surcharge and she said that in fact the machine was broken and I must pay cash. I said I didn't have enough cash. She pointed to an ATM in the reception, but that was one that levied a charge. I refused to use this and went to a nearby bank. I had to insist on a receipt as one was not offered to me.

    Attractive location and price, though GBP 5.00 surcharge for Visa Debit payment makes the price a bit more than advertised.

    Poor or no TV reception. Primitive mains electricity. Loud train noises even at night.

    Receptionist had poor grasp of English. Refused to take card payment - tried to put me off saying it would be a £5 surcharge - I agreed and then insisted on cash. Was unable to give me a receipt until the end of my stay. Very low quality room - dirty and very poor state of repair.

    Staff were helpful and room clean.

    We were at the back of the hotel so lots of noise from the trains. The fan in the room didnt work so it was an uncomfortably hot night.

    Location. We were attending a festival in Victoria Park and this hotel was ideally situated for the park and the tube.

    Underground is very noisy. Room was not ready until 3pm on day we arrived.

    The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff.

    The bathroom should be a little more clean. I did a bit of cleaning myself(especially the sink). Secondly, more channels on the TV rather than channel 4.

    Gute Lage, sehr nahe bei U-Bahnstation, schönes Gebäude

    Dürftiger Service, unser Zimmer wurde während unseres 4-Tägigen Aufenthaltes nie gemacht, auch wurden uns freiwillig frische Hand- und Badetücher gegeben. Früstückszeit zu kurz und zu spät. (erst ab 8.00 Uhr.) Sauberkeit liess zu wünschen übrig.

    "Contrariamente a quello che avevo letto l'acqua calda c'era, in compenso non funzionavano il rubinetto della fredda e lo sciaquone. In 4 giorni non hanno cambiato gli asciugamani (2 in tutto per 2 persone) ne' rifatto la camera.     "The room was very reasonably priced and included an unexceptional breakfast. It served us adequately for a single night but we have found several hotels which have offered rather - or even - better value for money." (97108828)

    The hotel is located conveniently next to Bethnal Green Underground Station but it is not particularly noisy as a result. The reception staff were pleasant and polite. The online booking sheet was extremely clear.

    The room was uncomfortably warm and we were unable to turn off the underfloor heating. The beds were not very comfortable. A glance under the bed was all it took to realise that cleaning was not all it could be. No plug in the sink and 'tea and coffee facilities' consisted of a kettle and two glasses.

    I had a discount as an online booking for single reservation, but this was negated by the fact that i had to pay a booking fee for paying by credit card when i arrived, despite the fact that i'd reserved using a credit card and not been informed of the extra charge. The room was at ground floor level next to a busy road and was noisy all the time. The rooms were separate from the reception building and there was no phone in the room. The carpets were stained and the room smelled heavily of cigarette smoke. There was only one shared bathroom where men urinated on the seat and the shower was broken. It felt dirty over all and not comfortable. All the furnishings looked second hand.

    It was close to Bethnal Green tube station

    The rooms were noisy and not particularly clean. There was a kettle but no cups, tea/coffee/milk. The beds were ok, but hard, and it was quite small and gloomy. A bit like a college dorm! And service at breakfast time was rubbish.

    "There was hair in the Bath and dust on the floor where it was clearly not hoovered. I know i sould have mentioned but i only saw it in the morning after the night before. To continue the Breakfast option consisted of cereal or Eggs and Beans. Not what I would call a Full English. The sur charge for paying with a cridit card was also not mentioned in the advert."     Squalid rooms - fridge with rotting food left in it, burnt out electrical extension leads, noise from the roads and trains. Poor breakfasts - and unfriendly staff.     Very small room that should be classed as a single not a double. Broken shower, broken tiles on the flooor. Sanitary condidtions dirty. Small inadequate towels. Entrance is a disgrace. Internet pictures do not show the true picture of the hotel or the location. Reception area smells of curry.

    "The description and photographs of the hotel and the facilities on the web site are totally misleading. This hotel is of the lowest common denominator of accommodation. This hotel boasts its 'recent renovation', this is ridiculous! Broken piles furniture litters the reception and main public space, plaster hangs off walls, bathrooms are tired and bedrooms simply unacceptable. Breakfast was quite simply appalling! (Although, the coffee was quite nice......) To top it all, a train rattles right past the bedroom window every three minutes or so. Despite the double glazing, you still hear them until VERY late at night and again VERY early in the morning. I have stayed in worse hotels in some far-flung destinations around the world; but frankly I can't remember when. My heart sank when I arrived and I was so glad to leave. Never again!" (97785589)

    "I was charged £252 for a 4 night stay in advance and was given a room unfit for human habitaion. A 5% surcharge for using my Visa no breakfast on any day as breakfast did not start being served until well after 8am. I am an Associate Finance Director for Tower Hamlets PCT and have passed details to our Public Health Department for investigaion of your premises. Just to cap things off I was within a few feet of the Trains and was unable to sllep due to the noise!!" (97817116)
