    Convenient location to Croke park.

    Pictures on web made hotel look much more modern and well decorated than it actually was. Bar badly in need of renovation - paintwork and carpet in bar very dirty. Rooms were average - bed mattress very bad quality. Also advertises that car park facilities are available - fails to mention that there are only around 20 spaces for a few hundred rooms!

    Bar and restaurant. We loved the tuna sandwhich and service food in bar

    Parking attendant on arrival would not help with bags. Said it was my job Extra charge for breakfast, should be in room rate or at least continental included with room, extra for hot breakfast. I think more things should be included with the high room rate and you should have a computer available for travellers who need internet to check mail but do not have a laptop with them. restaurant food across the from bar was average, not great Separate charge for parking We could not get wireless to work with our equipment which worked in all other hotels but I got a refund of the overpriced 13 Euro charge per day

    accmodation was really nice

    well the tv did not work and vi reported itc to reception twicec asa matter of fact then i use my own innotive which i know was wrong and got terrible abuse from the staff

    I thought that the staff were very friendly and helpful. Also, the hotel facilities were also very impressive.

    "The hotel is situated very conveniently for the city centre and the Concierge was very helpful and as a result we were all able to easily find and book all that we wanted to see and do, The breakfast was very good and we also enjoyed the restuarant. the staff were very busy and I thaught that they coped with a busy weekend very well."     The convenience, food and the helpfulness of the staff

    The room was small,the shower was not very effective and because it was on the main road we could not open the window to cool down for the noise of the traffic. I uderstand that some rooms have a form of air conditioning, it would have helped on this occation as the weather was very hot as was the hotel.

    "The hotel matched its description room was spacious and clean, the bed comfortable but the bathroom was a bit tired and the door did not quite fit. The dining room menu was exceptional with a good choice of courses, and fairly reasonably priced. Information as to how to arrive from Dublin Airport would have been appreciated. We took the skyline bus from the airport thinking it stopped at most City centre Hotels, unfortunately the North Star was not one of these so we were dropped off in O'Connell street and had an 8 to 10 minute walk to the Hotel. Our return journey to the airport was much easier as the 747 route bus picks up less than 100 yards from the Hotel. All the Staff were friendly with a great Information desk and a member of staff who goes out of his way to arrange day trips etc." (3304517706)

    "overall the hotel was very nice but down in the bar you got a lot of young local people and it got very rowdy and in my opinion was quite rough with young people throwing up, but the hotel itself was very nice clean and the reception were always on hand if you needed anything. would not reccomend to eat in the bar,but there is a lot of nice places to eat round and about."     it was central but not right on top of temple bar which was nice if you wanted to get away from it

    staff on reception were very helpful and friendly,but down in the breakfast bar they were not that friendly at all

    "Fullmarks go to the staff and their attitude and attention. On this basis alone the hotel is worthy of recommendation. Geographically the hotel is in an ideal position for travel be it train or plane. My only little moan, is that the background music was too loud and ought not to have been in the residents lounge. It was little trouble because I was alone, but had I been with another person I would have asked for it to be lowered in the foyer and bar and off in the lounge. I will be very happy to stay there again." (3304444603)

    Convenient for station and all city centre shopping, restaurants and sight-seeing. Need to update information on access to airport bus. This no longer stops outside hotel!Those with restricted mobility need to be aware of stairs , steps with no apparent alternative available,

    Nice big bedrooms

    The range of food on offer, not all fruit comes from a can, staff could do with more traning on serving food
