    Dinner at the restaurant was excellent.

    Due to double booking, my room was changed to a much smaller room on the day of arrival. It was unfair to inform me such important incident after I had started my trip on the day. (This is not a complaint but I felt it unfair.)

    Lovely hotel in a quiet area. Felt very welcome, especially with the port and biscuits and the gorgeous smelling toiletries!

    I thought the hotel was excellent, the staff were extremely helpful and courteous, and the restaurant food was first-class.

    I cannot think of any at all.

    excellent sized room. very pleased with everything

    Breakfast took a little time be served, but everything is freshly cooked which make a change to the usual food sat under a heat lamp for an hour before.......just give yourself a little longer than usual if you're in a hurry.

    "An all round excellent hotel. Rooms are contemporary but at the same time still homely and welcoming. Staff are excellent and couldn't do enough for you. I had room service which arrived very quickly and the food was piping hot." (97355667)

    "Food was rather a disappointment. We dined in two nights and went to a local pub the final two nights. Food not particularly well cooked, the portions we had were smallish and from a limited menu. We were charged extra for each vegetable serving. Wine list seemed to us over priced. Breakfast bar gave a somewhat restricted choice though the cooked section was very good. Hotel itself seemed well run, well used and had a lively, friendly atmosphere." (97045444)

    Hotel quiet, with modern, well equiped, bedroom and bathroom - a surprise to find in such a rural setting.

    "Liked the extra touches in the room eg home baked cookies ,decanter of port,fresh milk for the tea/coffe.Selection of toiletries in bathroom were above average you normally get in a hotel.Breakfast was excellent -freshly cooked (,local produce)to order.Main restaurant was rather expensive ,but good attentive service. Didn't appear to be any other local places to eat,therefore they have a captive audience ." (97674208)

    "This was a very calm hotel, with an excellent view over the countryside to the windmill in the near distance. The food was excellent, the locals friendly, and the drive there -in early July- spectacular. How nice to find a hotel that did not have the noisy hen/stag party and work team bonding sessions going on in to the early hours- the number of rooms -12- presumably militate against such groups."     the big bed, the lounge, the shared areas were excellently decorated,and, when we could find the staff, they were very friendly.

    "We arrived to find that we were a day earlier than our booking - but this was handled fantastically, fortunately there was a room available. The room was fantastic, large and spacious with lovely toiletries. We booked in for dinner too. When it came for our time the kitchen was a little over-run with a large party, so there was a bit of delay, but the atmosphere was very relaxed so we didn't have a problem with that. Unfortunately, a couple of other guests were not so gracious and nearly spoilt it completely by complaining a great length to everyone, especially the very patient and wonderful staff, whose fault it wasn't. They get extra credit for always remainin calm, professional and polite." (3305458516)

    The whole place had a very nicely exclusive feel and the staff were fantastic.

    Some of the other guests were unfortunately not quite so polite.

    "The only question mark for us would be in ensuring that we were not asssigned a noisy room on a date when all others were fully booked. Wec were originall given room 10, which was affected by noise frm the kitchen extractor fans. We were readily transferred at one to room 6. (The receptionist told us that she was aware of a noise problem in room 8). Our ultimate room was luxurious; the bed as comfortable as any we have known, and the bathrom fittings superb. We would unhesitatingly stay there again." (3304988683)

    Everything. We thought it the most comfortable Inn that we had ever enjoyed in the UK

    Two of the rooms we know to have been noisy -rooms 8 and 10- We were in room 6 which was delightful-if a trifle too warm.

    "I was very surprised to find the hotel so well appointed.There were lots of liitle touches that made our stay special. A warm welcome which put us at our ease. In the room a decanter of port, homemade biscuits, a selection of magazines and fresh milk in the fridge. The food was excellent and well presented. The location ideal for coast and countryside. I was impressed to see the attention to detail by the cleaning staff in the morning and the cleanliness of our room. I would certainly recommend this hotel to my friends and hope to return myself in the future." (3304886402)

    The accomodation was excellent. I liked the way they had marinated old and modern architecture. Despite having a very modern look it still give the impression of a place where you can relax and feel comfortable.

    There was nothing I disliked about the accommodation. Perhaps fresh flowers in the bedroom.

    "When I arrived at the hotel I was very jaded from a long drive from the north of England. The information and directions given on the website were spot on; I found it right away and I was very impressed by the hotel's location; peaceful and pretty. The reception staff went out of their way to make me and my travelling companions feel welcome and one female member of staff even carried my very heavy suitcase up the stairs. My room was clean, well decorated and uncluttered. The shower in my bathroom needed adjustment as it was too hot most of the time unless I held the handle whilst showering which was inconvenient. I brought this to the attention of a member of staff the next morning but I got a curt reply which was surprising. He said that the showers get everyday use. This was not what I wanted to hear. I wanted to hear that something was going to be done about it. All in all a wonderful night's stay and I will recommend this hotel to my many American travelling friends." (3304319677)

    Friendly atmosphere; the staff always spoke and were welcoming. The room was clean, well laid out and had modern decor. Parking the car was easy as was finding my way around the hotel.

    My room was too hot and when I opened the window to get some air the occasional traffic passing by on the front street created too much noise.

    "This hotel is in a great location - right in the middle of a very quiet village. It was handy for me as a business traveller to the area as I could access most of the district via the quiet country roads. I would have been equally happy to have stayed there on a leisure basis and am currently planning exactly that! Tip: check out the windmill and the local church!" (3304590713)

    This hotel has a great atmosphere; friendly and welcoming. It is very modern looking too and feels very special - more like a city 'chique' hotel than a country hotel.

    Everything! I loved the contemporary decor throughout the hotel, and attention to detail (especially the homemade biscuits in my room!). The food in the restaurant was absolutely delicious, and the service was excellent. I have recommended your hotel to several people already!

    The decor was modern and very unusual.It was pleasing to the eye,very well laid out and spotlessly clean. The rooms were large ,comfortable and done in the same colour scheme. Good bar with a good selection of real ale and a very good restraunt.

    The extract fans from the kitchens were noisy.
